If the former, well when people are growing up their life is populated with family members. Love, hate, drama, sadness and fun are all had around them and we mature around them. If you're talking about why incest games are so popular, then think of the reason that porn is around at all. Hmm, I'm not a fan of an incest so I usually don't play such games. But there is a couple I do, like DMD or BB to some extent. I play them mostly cuz of the lack of other options and due to other, side characters. Incest theme is sadly like a standard model for a dev who doesn't know what to do nowadays.
