There isn't any patron or supporter from MA around? I just saw his/her/their patreon page and it is very active, but no new releases.
I export (most) everything to Blender because Daz Studio is too shit to work with, so it takes longer to make scenes. That led to technical problems and I paused development for a few months. I explained all that in public posts, so you can read them even if you're not a patron. But I solved them and starting November 1st it's being developed again, though it's slow-going since I have other projects, including a writing gig for https://f95zone.to/threads/this-time-ch-3-1-apocalypsetoday.87477/

Most of what I did involved fixing the Blender exporter's materials, because the autogenerated skin shaders were really bad. You can read about that if you want, it's all public:

Of course Blender patched its volumetrics with the very next release, so all my hard work was tossed out the window. But I learned enough to create a new skin shader that looks better.

The writing is excellent, and really captures the theme. Don't let the troglodytes push you into making a story the way they want - make the story YOU want. Even if Sophie never makes it to the Armory, I want to hear how much she wants to be there, what she dreams about, what she thinks she needs, what she is willing to risk. Don't change a thing about your writing.

I do recommend not having long stretches of internal monologue with nothing to look at but a chair or a desk. Mix in shots of Sophie's thoughtful face, or her hands, or something to remind the reader that she is the one having the thoughts and how they are affecting her. But that is a minor change. The monologue itself is excellent, and worthwhile.

Thanks for giving us your story.

I wasn't planning on changing my writing, but thanks for the support.

As for the internal monologue over static backgrounds, sorry but I prefer it the way it is. That's how professional visual novels (as in, the high profile ones from Japan) handle inner narration, and I don't see any reason to change it.

That's fair. You are the author, not me.

Coming up on a full year anniversary in just a few months. I'm sure you're all familiar with the "it's not DEAD, it's just... resting!" joke...

"Resting"? This is literally the first weekend since I resumed work back in November that I haven't worked on the game.
I hope your work is going smoothly and you are not giving up for technical issues, it will be a shame :)
What about the script part? Do you have already something in mind or maybe it is already completed?

I completed the script for the next update back in June. That was the easiest part of all.

I'm taking some time off to focus on making assets to sell, so I get some passive income coming in. But I have no plans to abandon the game.

Sorry things are so frustrating for you right now, MA, but you have real writing talent and I hope that someone with the ability to pay you for it recognizes that talent and hires you.

In the meantime, you don't owe me anything, so I can wait with patience until you are ready to release something here.

FYI, there's a newer public version of this, on Unfortunately though it seems to have morphed into an HTML-like text-only snoozefest with exactly zero pictures, so you might not want to bother...

The new version is longer, and obviously will have images when finished, but right now it is only text. A bit over-written in parts, but still very well-written by the standards of porn games.

Cry me a fucking river.

Yeah, it'll have images when the script is done. After my experience working on This Time, I now have a strong feeling that releasing games like these in chunks is a bad idea.

But I want to be clear, this is not a porn game. It's erotica, which has the same literary standards as "respectable" genres of entertainment, except with a heavily sexual theme and nudity. I've never called it a porn game, and I never posted it on this porn game forum.
