1ST UPDATE : I took the dip and paid for the subscription, right now I'm sleuthing around, in order to figure out the site layout for the image viewer and what can be done in order to get the images instead of a full-out-blocked image viewer.

2nd UPDATE : I paid for the Gold membership, and I'm looking at the comics without any text on them ( just full images, no text bubbles and so where those are available ) I'm trying to figure out the web folder layout for those images, because they can be used for Translation into other languages, but so far I haven't any clue of it, apparently they are encrypted using php scripts.

3RD UPDATE : Jab has indeed encrypted the images of the whole site with an script that adds an unique UUID ( Unique User IDentification ) that have the encrypted hash of the account that have accessed those images, so, if someone tries to share said images and Jab gets wind of it, they can know who did it, and can trace-back to the credit / debit card used for the payment, bank account and so on, is quite an interesting thing that mechanism, actually.

Furthermore they have added a tracer on the link of every comic, so they know when you are opening any link, of which comic and how many pages have you read of said comic, quite controlling and highly concerning, if you ask me.

Oddly thought, there's the small story: A Blizzard & The Night of Firsts which is done in text and inserted images, like an erotic novella, however the CSS coding of the whole story is botched in a way that doesn't allows you to change the size of the font, and set the images in awkward locations that's why every set of said story that has been ripped from the site always shows this small font and oddly positioned images.

However, said story has a PHP encrypted code, that doesn't allow to correctly save the webpage using the Crtl+S shorcut, and doesn't allow the select all (Crtl+A) shortcut as well, something that might hinder me for a little while.

When I will crack those safety mechanisms I'm thinking on creating a PDF with said story, and send it to Jab with a little text: Here, buddy, FTFY (Fixed This For You)

The people that shared the comics said that the encryption is in the logo

Jab started to provide the same idiotism as now out of business Otto Maddox who fight his users more than 10 years. As a result got into a car accident and he stopped to create new comics. Sorry comic sites starred to play similar games it is an indicator that the stated to lose subscribers.

I understand that as an artist who is monetizing their works, jab wants to earn some money and wants to protect their works, however, there are better ways to earn money nowadays, and going as far as suing ppl for sharing your work is justified, but is quite a waste of time and resources

When web sites' owners start to play similar games it is a first signal that they don't have new ideas to attract their old and new users. It is a first signal that they start to lose subscribers. There are a lot of new artists who started to run their own paid portals and nobody wants to buy a production of an every creator. It is just a competition. I believe Jabcomix started to lose clients and they try to KEEP old subscribers. Of course, people don't want to pay every month and they want to keep episodes at home and exchange collections amongst each other. Therefore they started to lose money. That's it.

Exactly, problem is, a lot of content from Jab has characters that look / might be / could be interpreted as underage, so Jab cannot switch to another platform like, let's say Patreon due their regulations regarding underage content

And if they want to to a platform that allows underage content, the only one that comes to my mind right now is DLSite, however, they have censoring regulations

Idiotic question. Owners of Jabcomix are the U.S. citizens. If according to the U.S. law it is a CP why FBI still did not shut it down?

Server is not on USA, and have a couple of pages of law statements where they legally are covering their asses stating that their content has nothing to do with CP or something illegal regarding international laws

I looked at their web site and I didn't find anything that could protect them against the U.S. law. For example, if their servers are not in the U.S. they are able to issue an order to Internet Provider to block them and request an users' list to start an investigation. If they didn't start to do it therefore they don't want it. If they are the U.S. citizens therefore they are responsible. I remind that that one of crazyxx creators (I don't rememeber his pseudonym) has been convicted for a distribution of CP but crazyxx still exists. Therefore if a creator physically live in the U.S. they are able to bring him into the court.

I don't know if they included small watermarks for tracking. I believe you can over-paint using special soft like watermark removals. It something like AI with Photoshop. It will keep color good gradient background (I don't how to properly explain it). Some people did the similar job with Otto Maddox comixes posted @ shentai to remove disgusting shentai watermarks. It was 10 years using Photoshop but we live in 2023 now...
