Here's my possible solution: try to install the game on the main drive (C) "C:\Overflow\CrossDays". It was noted above that it works only in root drives for some reason. The updater should work as well.
As for the Textractor: when finished above, run Textractor.exe in x86 folder with administrator rights. When you've opened textractor, lauch the game, wait for it to load, attach to the game and add my hook. When Japanese subtitles appear, check it again.

If it doesn't work, simply download my BOX version. It's faster, better and the guide itself is aimed for it, mostly. + You don't need to update anything.

Don't worry, sometimes DeepL behaves strangely. You should spam connect button until it gets a connection. if not, try to re-open Textractor.

Hey guys, long time, no news from here.
If you know, I had already noticed in my guide review that this game was most likely cut with many content being removed. I still have no idea why it's like that or what was the real reason, but here's what I have:

Recently, I’ve decided to take a look inside the game subtitles(or even try to translate them). My discovery was the fact that I had found some lines which aren’t in the vanilla game in any way, and it’s impossible to get them from playing the game.

Example: lines of Chie talking to Makoto and having H-scene later(they confess each other somehow, Chie doesn't even know him, it’s kinda cringe). Or Roka being dominated by Otome in the toilet while having sex with Yuuki, while in another route it's Roka being dominant to Otome and asking Yuuki to “punish” her for what she did to her. Plus for Roka, she is able to be with us at our computer watching our games(loli shit, MILF and even basketball in separate lines). There are extra dialogues of Kasannoin and Yae having sex(bruh). Some lines for the Kuroda and many more...

I might’ve missed something in all of these 41k lines of subtitles, but… This is so messed up. Maybe it was too much for them to implement it all once, or it was so trashy, that much, so the Shiny Days with Kokoro funny things and mother harems' is nothing compared to this.

School day series always stand out to me. very first yandere but I like the art style and character more. Now aday anime like isekei that isekei this. Just man..Stop. I need more drama anime or something Guy vs The World like Overlord. There some good isekei too tho

More than you are right! Vtuber idea is just a pile of shit, that 0verflow wanted to fill the air, instead of remaking or making something new.
In my view, Cross Days had more chances than any other Days' game to become an excellent story for both Yuuki and the series in general. Here's what I'd love to tell you about deleted and hidden stuff of this game:
1. Devs published BugBug journal from 2008 prior to release and a bit in 2011 that contained a lot of development information with some kinky details. There was a lot of stuff. Beginning with unique H-scenes, and ending with cut animations and routes. Examples: Chie sex scene appears on the certain page of BugBug and her presence is confirmed in the game's subtitles.
2. The game itself feels like it's untold, generally. Like, if you'd end up like me in an ending named "Secret fall", that ends SO unexpectedly, you'd think it's impossible that the devs cut off your storytelling in such manner.

Repeating myself once again: such a missed potential, that would help the series. Main heroine is literally untold, new protagonist is known only from gay ending and jokes about Cross Gays, etc...

many game that quit or get can by EA. They always have much much cooler cut content and idea. But I guess they wanna get this job done quickly for this one. I swear they all should hire some tester that also allow to see all idea and project and dont be afraid to keep on trying new idea
really good potential this series. They gotto make more character and more drama. Dont have to be Makoto this and that just more character in this univer that go on same drama struggle
last poop they made was 3DS game I dont remember what it was but it play like Tower Defense for whatever reason but drama still there. I swear they must get lazier everyday. JUST MOVE TO NEW ENGINE and Sell at Dlsite or some poop. Do more marketing Poop. if I can yell at them. YES u must re learn everything YES IT hard. Life hard else fail and retire

Managed to get this game running a year ago on my old PC, Windows 11. Trying to get it running on my new PC, and it just refuses. I installed the game to the root drive, I did the Script fix, I tried every compatibility mode from Windows 8 down to Windows 95, but it just CTD's on startup. The process doesn't even stay active long enough for me to change the core affinity and priority. Tried the dgvoodoo2 fix and that didn't work either. All the crash dump files just say NULL so I have no idea what's crashing it specifically.

Where can I download Cross Days? I found one on Ryuugames but after installation is finished, it doesn't launch, when I click on the crack, it asked me to insert Disk 2 in Japanese.

I wish I could find an easier version to install. I had no issues installing other Overflow games such as "School days" and "Shiny Days" and I loved them so I really wanted to play Cross Days.

I hope someone can help me find an easy way to install the game properly and make it works.

I paid H-suki's premium subscription to download it from there and it works like a charm now.

I really like this game. It takes place in the same universe as School Days, or more precisely, in parallel. We meet Makoto, Sekai and Kotonoha and a certain Rouka, with whom the MC is in love.

In the story, we want to help Kotonoha in her relationship with Makoto, but the MC sees that Makoto is secretly dating Sekai and wants to help Kotonoha date Makoto, but depending on our choices, things can turn out differently.

I unblocked an ending where Rouka doesn't go out with Yuki (the MC) but goes with Hikari to Natsumi's where they have sex with Makoto. Rouka doesn't seem to take part in the sexual relationship, she just stimulates Natsumi to have sex with her after Hikari has finished with Makoto.

I wonder if there's a route where Rouka and Makoto have sex in the bedroom and Yuki sees them doing it and is shocked by the situation.

Despite my attempts, I've only made two bad endings for Yuki and Rouka but in neither of them has Rouka done anything with another boy yet.

As from my experience, it should be better, the DeepL translation got better. There is also a Sugoi Translation, IDK how exactly it works. The only problem – are the names of the characters.

How do you like the idea of making the game to the end by yourself. Increase the resolution and clarity with the help of AI, and add what the artists have cut, themselves to help. Still build a game on a new engine
