Can't seem to run the game, double clicking the .exe just momentarily pops up a black screen and closes immediately. Any idea on how to fix would be cool.
EDIT: I also have this issue with the prequel.

If the game does not operate on Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10
then follow the troubleshooting steps located here:

You must be registered to see the links

In the case of Windows 8.1 / 10, you must enable DirectPlay.
Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn windows features on or off
> Legacy Components > DirectPlay Checkbox. Click OK to save and return.

Try to put game files in the begining of main file system, cose game badly works when folders have a 'hard' names with some specific symbols or japanese letters.

bad idea,
if you renamed anything---->the stage1&2 file's will get corrupted,
these are extremely fragile PC-engine era script's.

There is three folders with stages which is like three games technically, and I mean the path to those folders need to be as simple named as possible. I had same issue when started game first time from original folder, but when I renamed kaijin to "1" it started without local emulator.

My thoughts exactly, you can click ESC to pause the game and enjoy just one frame but it is a pretty poor gallery choice considering how enjoyable the characters and animations are, such a waste.
