Flash - Room to Rent [v0.8.4p] [NERDWORKS]

Renders are amazing. For the amount of effort I put into the game, I would have expected more. This game is BEYOND tedious. I get mini-games and all that, but there is usually some benefit to them other than just to progress the story. If it wasn't for the fact I have a click macro on my mouse, I would have given up quickly, since I'm not about to risk getting carpal tunnel syndrome for a game that doesn't even let you see anything at the end.

Creator should consider simplifying the game, spending less time on the mini games and more time on the actual story. Also, finding the magic pixel on the screen to continue to the next step is not fun. If you feel it's necessary to advance your story, put some sort of highlight around the area to assist the player in the process. As it stands, it feels all of this clicking was implemented in order to make the game feel like there is more content than there really is. This game will continue to get a bad rating if the difficulty/tediousness of the game is not addressed.

EDIT (1/15/2020):
Why do I continue to torture myself? After the router is set up and I need to drill a hole for the phone line, I'm locked in dialog and cannot continue. Obviously, this drill is somewhere else, as the only icon I get is over the router itself and that does nothing! Seriously getting fed up with this piss poor interface. I've had PC's for decades and I know what cables go where, but there's zero indication as to where the mouse actually is, which made it extremely difficult to plug the cables in.

Now there's this hint book, but it tracks the number of times we access it. It's a LOT, dude. A LOT. There is no clear way to do anything.

The phone dialogs require us to click in two different places to advance the story. To progress in other areas, it switches between left clicks of the mouse and space bar. It is never clear what you are supposed to do at any given time to progress. These changes are FRUSTRATING!

Just one star. Bad game mechanics, totally not clear on what to do. Took me 3 minutes te get the 2nd screen, that little hand showing up on te road to click is SO bad. And did close and remove the game with the irritating painting of the ceiling. Clickclickclickclick .... not thank you very much

Need to put three stars because the game showed me how boring is to wallpaper a wall. In the new version we will laminate the floor... Can´t wait for it! Maybe three or four more updates and we will be able to see some bewbs

game is very very very bad! every stage of it is dull and click heavy. it is not at all fun to paint and wallpaper for an hour. there are no redeeming qualities to this game. it is filled with unguided puzzles that just force you to make the same 400 clicks over and over and over again until you are so tired of the game you delete it.

Good game so far. Very special and a nice story with good renders. Only too many clicks at wallpaper and floor working. Reduce this and make it easier, because bunch of people are annoyed. Lewd content is already there, keep up the good work!

It would be easier to build my own house. This is the worst game i ever downloaded. I have to click for every step in stairs... WHY? And that puzzles(?) they are so annoying. I downloaded this game for plot but game is worse than terrible. The only reason of 1 star is theres no -5 star.

Game has terrible repetitive unnecessary mini games, random clickable spots with no indication of where they are, and no auto save function in case you miss click on home causing you to have to reload and redo a lot of tedious things.

A bore fest is what this game is, also what's up with the tedious mini games, is the dev getting off on his playerbase's suffering, geez. I'd give this game a solid 2 out of 5 it if weren't for the previously mentioned mini games (puzzle game if you may). Just lol at this abomination of a "game".

Art is ok, needs bigger hit spots and or prompts as some things are ridiculous like the wallpaper table "mini game", and why the dev thinks anyone would want to click 20 or 30 times a quarter of ceiling to paint it i dont know, should be a grind once on first quarter and click click click on the other 3, same applies to the wall paper and the stupidity that is the load your self up with wall papering gear and walk up the stairs mini game also in its current state should have a no sexual content tag, most titillating scene if the daughter in a pair of briefs and a t shirt....

One of the best games i played on this site. A bit difficult but i loved the story and mechanics.The characters are also very good and i'm eager for more. I like games that tease and don't go strait for sex and full nudity.
This game makes you think and that is a plus for me. Don't understand all the critics is a different game from the hundreds around and don't copy others as many around here. Congrats for the dev. Keep the good work

the Author of this game needs to be taken out back and fed to the Gators. The mini games are ridiculously unimaginative and plain boring there are no visual ques to the player other than extremely small hit boxes that have to be done in specific order. After getting the wallpaper supplies I suddenly forget I live on the 4th floor or how to walk...get real better yet get a real job flipping burgers because that is about the amount your imagination can handle. THIS IS THE DUMBEST MOST Ill Conceived

You know the tedious and menial things you do in a David Cage game for the sake of "immersion" and "storytelling"?
Well it's that, with some (albeit nebulous and non present yet) porn.
Credits where due: the art is good, the setting for the story works.
BUT the repetitiveness of the "gameplay" ruins it. Hard.
Pass and maybe come back later.

this game is too much grind. not worth the time at all. It needs lots of unnecessary clicks. The puzzles in the game are clueless without any hints to forward. really a waste of time without any quality. dont play and save yourself the time.
