the worst bit of coding I've come across. you either have to find a very small area on the screen to click on with the mouse, or click on the correct speech bubble or apparently click the space bar. I've only got as far as trying to do the wallpaper and this looks like it's going to take 100s of clicks as the first sheet took 25 or more clicks (in the right place) to get it done and now I have to repeat that for a second sheet and who knows how many more.
The dialogue has so many grammar mistakes and the punctuation is laughable.
Not sure I can find anything good to say about this game...ok, the two women in the apartment look ok, but WOW is that a real chore to get anywhere with.

How much random clicking do you want? YES!
The game is just painful to play and kills all the fun with monotonous tasks.
Would not recommend downloading this piece of work.
Gameplay is so bad it must be intentional.

Great game - nice story (a lot of dialogs), real gaming experience (a lot of clicking, a bit of thinking, sometimes you have to write something down). You can use a hint system, but doing something yourself gives a lot satisfaction

Good art, great female models, very detailed backgrounds, slow, but interesting story and PAINFULLY SLOW, BORING GAMEPLAY! It's not an adventure/quest, it's like awful mix of a clicker, quest without any directions and hidden-object without list of said objects...
I broke down at the stage of turning on the computer: after five minutes I still could not connect the USB mouse to the USB port, because it is not enough to put one object on top of another, you need to click on exactly one pixel, known only to the developer!

there are too many mundane tasks that are pointless (ie putting up the posters and wallpaper ect), walkthrough that doesnt help with everything , no way to skip the mundane parts to get the story going, the game is just very frustrating

I'm going to apologize because I do not like to give 1 star but by god this is the most frustrating game I have ever played. The story would be so much better if I didn't zone out from playing the minigame. It unfortunately turned into a clicking simulator.

It has very detailed unique scenes. And for this i love it.
But it is very tidious to play. Sometimes even the tips arent helping a lot.
BUT the fact it is a real pain in the ass and feels like "working" towards the sexy scenes is something that makes this game also realistic and gives you a feeling of accomplishment. Because you must be invested and focus to succeed.
I rarely found myself interacting so deeply with a game of this kind. Sometimes I had the feeling learning something xD
You can see the hard work of the author in every and each render.

You are too lazy to do certain things in real life, come and do it in a 1000 times more boring version on these games. Your gaming time will not be about story, but about the stupid mini games that the developer has put in place. I believe that out of all the dung that I have tried on this forum, this one surpasses them all.

This game should be called "renovation simulator"
Spent 20 minutes renovating a room .... and then .. about 30 minutes "walking up the stairs" literally ... i did not see any sexual content except when i found out i can load day 9 (after mistakenly clicking the home button and losing my renovation and walking up the stair proggress ... ) there i found a 69 simulator with about 10 minutes in the same pose ... this is a discrace of a game... dont waste your time

I like the art and the intention, I now have RSI and it would have been quicker to paint my own ceiling - the find a place to click mechanism was already annoying before decorating -several hundred clicks later, I'm thinking the walls still need to be done yet.. I nearly rage quit when the chair didn't want to go anywhere stuck to my mouse, but the wallpaper finished me off and I did actually quit at that point.. this thread has been going 5 years, the feedback about the mechanics should have been picked up by now- even just a hover over highlight would massively improve it (and way less decorating). I hate being negative about someone's hard work and passion project.. but its the wrong kind of masochism for me

Is this a porn game or a renovating contractor simulator? What in the actual fuck possesed the dev to make those renovating minigames? Actually, to call those "minigames" is dumb. Those are as far from mini as they can get.

So many useless clicks you have to make, not only in the minigames but throughout the entire game. It requires you to remember what number the family stays at and click it. If you didn't read that part or don't remember, you are stuck with click every single number in the bubble.

Either the dev was bullied as a kid and now he takes his revenge in the pettiest way possible or i don't know. But something is definitely wrong in his attic.

I am seriously concerned that if i play this game till the end, i will exceed the 50 million clicks that my G502 buttons are rated for.

Art's good. Everything else's terrible. Porn game that makes you renovate an entire room by placing every single tile on the floor and then install and connect a router step by step. Characters are cardboards. "Conservative" mom letting MC stay in his boxers from day one after he "explains" it's normal. "Shy" teenage daughter asking a complete stranger about her tiny tits and to massage them on day one. Main character hating creeps... while creeping into a teen's room and jerking off on her foot the first night he's in. Nah

The Minigames does not connect at All. Unloading the Truck, then seeing that Animation of climbing stairs alone just kills it for me. Good to see something different and not copy pasting other Games are most them are out there. But still. the Minigame are just Poor, Boring, Exhausting and steals all the Good this game have to offer.

Edit: Tried to play more after that haunting Van unloading IKEA simulator part. But again, Terrible , absolutely Terrible Minigames.

This game is truly unique. For those who like corruption, this is pretty much the benchmark. The pace is about right, the buildup to the sex scenes and the sex/hot scenes themselves are amazing, and the models are beautiful.

The dev could've made all the minigames optional(some of them are but not all) in order to attract more players and get better reviews, because it has all the makings of a hit. It doesn't bother me that much particularly because I think the pros outweigh the cons big time here, but I'm not big into that either(even in "regular" games") and it's definitely overdone here in some cases.

For those who are on the fence because of the mixed reviews, I say give it a try, and if you like it, support the dev. Even if you don't like some aspects of it, you might like it enough to support him, and god knows creativity and talent has become very rare in this industry and must be rewarded.

Every now and again I run into a very unexpected, unique and amazing game.

Room To Rent is certainly one of those. I am not sure what brought me to it, but I am very glad I found it.

The difference between porn and a good porn game is anticipation and effort. Too many so called games don't understand the power of anticipation and they go to the porn way too quickly without developing any anticipation or desire. Early sex scenes end up being boring and flat if the viewer isn't already interested or invested in the scenes.

I want erotic sex scenes. Substance over quantity.

Room To Rent will not appeal to anyone that doesn't understand anticipation or desire. If you just want a quick jerk then do not even consider trying Room To Rent. You will hate it. And I mean you will seriously hate it. I have no doubt that this game's overall score will continue to drop as each new version is released as the impatient mob losses their mind over Room To Rent's mechanics. Their loss.

But for those of you that understand how important investment is to desire and eroticism then Room To Rent offers up a superbly powerful experience.

There are some things that could be improved, but all things considered they don't really matter.

For instance the save system is a bit clunky as you can't see what you have saved. I also wish there were more spots to make saves, as there isn't an easy way to return to scenes. I did run into a bug with the printer paper where it kept causing a glitch that would force me to manually close the game. But I persevered because I was sucked into the experience.

The writing could at times use an editor. There are many odd uses of words and mistakes, but again I had no problem persevering through those oddities. Probably the weirdest word choice was "congress" instead of "seminar" or "convention" but I understand English isn't always a developers first language, and English words are not universally used in the same way in all parts of the world.

Sometimes the MC's thoughts are a bit immature, and the cold way he spits out factoids can be a bit silly, but not so much as to ruin the experience.

In the end, all these small problems don't outshine the positive elements.

Finally, don't cheat. There is a way in game to get clues, or to speed things along, but honestly the work (and I do mean work) of getting through the initial days is important to building up the anticipation and for building a sense of investment.

For instance, unloading the van was daunting, but interesting, and when it was all done I had no regrets. So many strange and interesting mechanics and ideas. Amazing that the developer actually decided to go with some of their ideas... on paper they seem insane, but they do work. When the sex scenes started to appear I was fully invested and engaged.

The sex scenes are AMAZING because they are slow and drawn out. These aren't animation loops, but long drawn out experiences with hundreds of clicks, dialogs, and small moments that really add to the experience. In a lot of games the sex animation loops can seem almost divorced from the game. They are short and then they are over. That is not the case here. The sex scenes are part of the overall experience.

It felt real in a way a lot of other games do not.

I wish I could wipe my memory and play it again from the beginning.

I can't wait to see where this game goes next. I hope it continues to be so unique and interesting.

You're a criminal on the run who has answered a rental ad and moved in with a mother and her daughter. This thrilling and sexy life is simulated by having you paint the ceiling of your room by clicking 144 times on a paint roller and then wallpapering the room by clicking over 250 times to position a chair, pull out paper, apply glue to paper, and place it on the wall.

At the beginning there is a bit much of mouse clicking and movement in the apartment is a bit clumsy, but I like the believable story and also realistic characters. Renders are very nice. Good luck

If the game switched engines it would probably be a 4/5 game. The models are good and the story is somewhat interesting. The gamely is AWFUL, though. There's no way to skip anything, and the whole thing gets incredibly tedious very quickly. Wait for the RenPy remake, otherwise this is a skip.

Game takes itself too seriously. You repeatedly click on patterns in the same order 10 times.
Feels like this game is tedious for the sake of being tedious.
The first two "sexy" scenes are also Urination and foot fetish.

Not the game for me.

This game gets addictive somehow because it really is a game first of all, and I say this because the time it gets to unlock the lewd scenes is not that abnormal in this type of games and I generally love games where the models used are somewhat more normal to the common days in terms of body type, but there are a lot of small tasks that can easily start killing away the joy in the game.

For example for me the room, and mainly the wallpaper part of the room was too tedious, as you have to do the same thing over and over and at the end it just jumps to the paste part, there should be a way to after 3 or 5 times you could click the whole thing and it would be done automatically so the storylines can continue.
Then the router if you do not want to use the hints in the game, you have to decorate username, password and service, I have a hard time remember my own to remember these. It wouldn't cost for the MC to write the necessary info in a notepad or something.
The other is the decorating the room, bringing things from truck to the room, why can't the character climb the stairs on its own and we have to click each floor? and the stairs part if not those where the mom and daughter appear could also be much faster as they add very little to the game

I liked, until where I played, the storyline, the models used, the interactions with them and the normal flow of the lewd scenes, but the small tasks need to be revised or have an option for us to jump part of them
On the other hand if you really are looking for a game where you have much to do, then this might be your game.
