I dunno, If I just want Lesbian Sex I can just go to Ehentai and use female only tag with Tribadism tag. Sometimes I just wish to run away from reality and be on a world where a fucked up little shit like me exist in a world where i don't need to deal with something I don't like and feels love. Sure the "Shoujo-Ai" genre are usually filled with people that fantasize on what Lesbian relationship look like but... Thats make it special isn't it? It is like a Romance genre but everything revolve around love between girls instead of love between a male and a female.

Honestly i find it funny how people keep saying that Shoujo-Ai is just "what people think Lesbian relationship would be like" but never comment on how weird normal romance really are and say "Romance genre are what people would think Straight relationship look like". It is like saying "Lesbian would never imagine their relationship to be like this." when some Lesbian wish to have those Manga-like relationship too just like how Straight people wishing to have Romance Manga Relationship too.

I mean... I used that specific lens for a reason; The stereotypical basic guy does dismiss standard romance as girly fantasies. In fact they'd probably lump it in together with the lesbian romance as typical wall-of-text girly stuff with no sex. I suppose you could take that as the opinion of "people" if you're going mainly off of who plays porn games, as basic guys seem vastly more catered to than anyone else, but... eh, that's a different rant. All I'm saying is that I think porn games could be much better than they are, and that means moving beyond the games themselves being nothing but delivery vehicles for porn content. Lesbian stuff tends to get closest to that, in my experience.

While I'm sure most of us here greatly appreciate whenever you share your analysis on this thread, I think starting your own rec thread is a fantastic idea. I have two suggestions/requests for you. I'd like to see you cover all ages VNs as well as adult games and also discuss other media such as manga from time to time. I don't know if F95zone as a whole is ready for this, but I'd definitely love to hear your takes on Desert Hearts and The Hunger!

I haven't come across many personal rec lists here that focus on lesbian games even on a secondary basis so this would definitely be a welcome addition to the site. Jufot's Story-first games thread is very much worth reading, but you'd have to do your own research to figure out which games listed are lesbian. Some time ago I tried to convince LadyOfSpiders to make her own list...she was unfortunately completely uninterested. Perhaps you'll end up encouraging some of the other regulars to follow your example in time. Eve, Goku, 262177, and damnedfrog would all do a great job with their own rec threads I'm sure!

I have plans to do a list of my own eventually as well (the walls of text will be endless, of course). It won't be lesbian only, but I want to have dedicated sections on the first post for listing my favorite lesbian protagonist and route games.

The drawback I see about opening another lesbian games list thread, is that games risk to be spread among many list. I already follows another lesbian games list. Some game are listed only in one of the threads, other are duplicate in each list. With another thread, I fear this will dilute visibility of lesbian games instead of enhancing it .
Perhaps you could use SPOILER tag to hide your opinionated walls of text if you fear to flood that thread to much.

Hmm. I wouldn't expect that would really be a problem because GreenDark most likely wouldn't be starting a thread called, "Another Lesbian Protagonist Games List" or anything like that. Instead, it would probably be called something like, "GreenDark's Rec List" or "Delving Into the GreenDarkness: A Few of My Most Twisted Favorites." Her list would be something personal to her and just cover the particular games that she wants to talk about. It wouldn't really be a competitor to this thread or anything like it in scope since CBoyC95 is a neutral party who tries to list all the games that fit the criteria as they come out whether they're good, bad, or somewhere in between.

I'm not opposed to talking about content outside the scope of what F95 is centered around. But I would need to have knowledge of what it is we're talking about. I don't read much manga or watch many movies or anime. But I play a lot of games. So F95, with its focus on games and VNs fits my tastes.

It's a situation where something I want doesn't exist yet so I'm thinking of taking a shot at creating it myself. My thread would only list games I've personally played and found some quality in. Would love to see such threads in general. General lists like this one are invaluable, but a lot of games get added at unplayable/early stages and there's no way of knowing if they have grown unless you stumble upon them randomly again. So yeah, it would be wonderful if you'd share your experiences in a structured way. Comments get lost after a few pages.

First of all, anything by Angela He is great. Idk how I feel about it being here, it just doesn't feel like it fits but idc honestly.

Also something that mildly annoys me is when a game on here has a female characters name in its title but the game has a male protagonist. If you were going to make a game that revolves, or takes a focus, on a character why would you not just have the player play from that character's perspective. A title like the life of gydie jram (name is pronounced judy gram) and we play as her husband or brother or roommate and get only an outsider's perspective on her life.

Ah yes, the cooties filter. For all intents and purposes, you want the player to have control of the female character, but you don't want to say that the player is playing as the girl because then that's the player getting fucked by dudes and that's gay. Easiest way to ruin a game IMO.

(I'm also not counting NTR/cuck games in that - they are actually trying to hit a specific fetish, even if it's not one of mine)

Male protagonists are almost always completely vacuous nothings of characters by design. Most of it's made for straight men so any men in them are meant to be self-inserts, so much so a lot of hentai is literally drawn with grey, featureless men that are basically mannequins.

It's an incredibly stupid intersection of wanting to see women hop on dicks but without seeing other dude's dicks cause that's like totally gay bro!
