AI-generated art is a problem for many artists. Many developers have taken it off their priority list to hire more artists for their game because they can now do it using Dall-e and other tools.
As you said maybe it's not very polished now, but it's polished enough for people with basic knowledge to make beautiful things without any effort.
While it can also help artists to create their work much faster, it also takes work away from people who make a living doing commissions or working with indie companies.
I don't know what value you give to the effort and love that artists give to the work they do, but for me it is a priority to know that someone is working hard even if it takes more time, than simply using the AI to generate the images you need


And I'm too lazy to continue this conversation, so I'll explain it with a basic example to end with
If someone with basic knowledge can create a decent/good VN game and make a lot of money with the game surely in his next game he will not hire any artist because having an AI to do the job would be stupid and he would be losing money.

It would be amazing if people could make beautiful art "without effort". Imagine the time and resources that could be saved through that. The way you put it, having the ability to make good art quickly is a great alternative for those who don't have the money to invest in professional artists. It could help get creative people off the ground and get some funds before hiring professional artists.

Good artists will always have people hiring them, but this whole AI ordeal does raise the ceiling as to how good an artist must be to warrant hiring.

Anyway, game looks great and the game dev is putting a lot of effort into it. Props to that!

This game is amazing!

The story is good and the characters are likeable. I downloaded this game for porn but I stayed for the story and characters. I don't mind the art being generated by A.I. because I understand that you might not have the time or money to afford proper artists. Though I do find some things hard to stomach like the overly modern classroom in the MC's flashback and the bedroom on the island.

the ai cg tag is pretty new, so it's possible that OP didn't know there was a tag for it.

In my game I made no efforts to hide the fact that it was AI (though it's partially not AI since I do a lot of manual work in it), but didn't know the tag existed when I posted.

Though whoever the dev is, penises / vaginas are some of the easiest things to fix in photoshop.

I also experienced random freezes but I also have an issue with loading save files, after the loading of the save file appears another text box behind normal textbox, there's no running text but the letter L. I don't find the experience enjoyable, might wait for the next update or a patch for more stable build.
