Instead of voting (which presents only two options), I'll just say that it isn't a bad effect to use. What could be grating is the use of it on all the images. I can see how the Orton effect can enhance mood and emotion, especially when used during the more tender moments. The mistake is in using it constantly, thus robbing it of the potential to be special.

under spoiler, as it is a porn game, i think that would be a great twist. but i like darker path stuff. somehow i dont see this one taking turns like that. still, i'll keep an eye on it. its a nice break from the usual

A few comments on the newest update. Of course it turned into a friggin' essay again, but oh well. If somebody cares, feel free to read. If nobody cares, well, why are you still reading this?
1) The Orton-effect/bloom doesn't annoy me thaaat much, but it really looked way better before. Some scenes are quiet blinding. Literally. (Also for an actual Orton-effect it's strangely lacking in RKOs, ha.)
2) Much more annoying: The font. Yes, a hard to read, small and thin font is exactly what i want in a game that focuses heavily on the story and reading. Especially if the renders/bloom blind me when i focus my eyes. Not cool.
3) Okay, i really don't want to start to discuss the story. Buut...
4) The lady arrogantly saying something along the lines of "i doubt you could pay the rent" should earn her a bitchslap. (Or an RKO. The same goes for Jason. And John. And Jinder! Wait, wrong story...)

I've heard more people talk about how the font was a problem for them, so I'll defintely change that in the next update. Don't worry.
As for the images, well, I wouldn't say 'lazy' is the right word for it. Rather, it's a choice that I consciously made. Yes, when you compare Blooming Love to Dating My Daughter for example, you will notice that I use much less different images in my game. You might also notice that Mr. Dotts has a whole lot more Patrons than I have though. That is the first reason really. Rendering images costs time. Unlike Mr. Dotts for example, I don't earn enough money with this to do it full time. I do spend a large part of my free time on it though, but I can still only do so much with that given time.
But why does rendering images cost so much time (particularly for me)? There are several reasons for this. Unlike most 3D porn games, my images are 1920x1080 resolution. That simply means that every rendered image will take more time than say the 1280x720 resolution that Dating My Daughter runs in. Made it was the wrong choice to go for 1920x1080 and maybe I'l change it one day, we'll see. Another reason why rendering images takes a long time is that I'm afraid I only have 1 pc. This means that I can't work at writing the story and rendering the images at the same time due to the massive amount of processing power required for rendering images.
Because of this I had to make a choice when working on the first version of Blooming Love. I could either spend a full month by first writing the story and then rendering all the required images, or I could use less images and release a new update roughly each two weeks. I chose for the two-week plan because I think my writing ability is far better than my rendering ability, so that's what I wanted to focus on. That might be a choice you agree with or disagree with. I respect both options. (This might also be a minor point, but I also like writing without having to think too much about if I can actually render the writen scene with the assets I currently have. I don't like feel constraint by having to render the images. Images should be something to help the story in my opinion, not the other way around.)
I always try to add as many images as I can in the limited time between updates, but currently it is just too dependant on how much free time I have. I will of course try to add more and more images to the game when I start earning enough money (should that day ever come), but until then I hope you still enjoy the game with the amount of images it currently has.
PS: The poll I posted on my Patreon about the Orton effect on the images is still open for those who want to voice their opinion. The vote is currently roughly split in the middle, so I'd still like to get some more opinions before I make a final decision.
Thanks for the 0.7 update. I'm really looking forward to this game nowadays. Although the font choice in the latest update is horrendous, the text is hard to read because of both the font and the color. So thanks for promising to fix that!
I think the main problem with this game is it doesn't find the correct tone. The 3D design of the models is the pornstar-like cliche with huge breast, the plot about incest is obviously kinky, and the main motivation of the characters to comit incest seems to be simple lust, but the scenes and dialogues are not the ones of a naughty game, but a implausible romance game written by some lesbian SJW activist; so, it is not a good porn game either a good romance game, I.M.O.

Well, I updated my review for the newest content (0.7)... I had nothing but good things to say about this one all the way to v0.5... I really felt that it was going to be a contender for being one of the best VN/games out there due to it's smooth flowing story, decent visuals, deep/meaningful story telling, and so on... But the newest twist in the 7th day, has me worried and gives me a sinking feeling... I really hope it isn't going to turn out bad for this VN/game, because that would be such a massive major disappointment, for a fun and entertaining love/romance story to turn into some crazy melodrama...

I think the poll should also have a other check box. The other check box could be used to do something like remove it but not from all as you could use it for special scenes. Ones where everything is white or bright it should be removed from as that causes too much brightness.
Also you should get in touch with someone on the site so that they can give you the green game developer tag so it's easier to see posts by you.

As Myuinny mentioned, the poll is open to everyone. I really wanted to get input from everyone who's playing the game, not just the ones paying for it. Polls about extra content for the game will always be exclusive to my patrons though.
As for the twist at the end of the last update, I don't think you have to worry. I know it got a bit dramatic, but that's not the tone I want to keep for the rest of the story.
