Must admit, I didn't mind the life hiccup during this update. Life has ups and downs and shit happens occasionally. I think it was safe to assume that things would always pick back up again and it wasn't going to turn into a Requiem for a Dream style depressive spiral that would have us all opening up a vein in another couple of updates.
Put me down as one who doesn't mind the new lighting too, mostly because I like the way it makes the skin look. The font change wasn't an issue being that I'm playing on a big 4K TV, but I can see how it could be a problem for those on other screen types.

). The script for version 0.8 is nearly done, so in about 2 days I'm going to work on the finishing touches. This includes adding the Orton effect to the new images or removing them, so you all still have until tomorrow evening or so to vote on the poll. The poll is open to everyone, so you don't have to be a patron to voice your opinion.
Kindred Spirits is one of favourite VN and for that reason I going to give this a go

Good news, dear readers. Version 0.8 is almost done and as it looks right now, it should be finished and tested by tomorrow. I hope you're already looking forward to the next chapter of the story and if so, I hope you enjoy reading through the update in next few days or so. I certainly enjoyed writing it, I can tell you that much at least.
Version 0.8 has arrived! Yay! I hope you'll enjoy reading through the newly added content and I hope you'll stay tuned for an annoucement coming in one or two days about a new project.

As you may have noticed, I posted a poll a few days ago regarding the Orton effect added to all the images in the last update. It ended with a roughly 45%-65% split at the end in favor of removing the effect. Some people suggested a better solution than to simply remove it however, which I took. The Orton effect has been removed from most images, but it has stayed on images on which it enhanced the images itself in a good way or if it makes narrative sense. This means that out of the 99 images, about 15 or so still have to Orton effect. Hopefully this more careful approach to added the Orton effect will make the game better as a whole.
Chance log:
- Removed the Orton effect from most images
- Replaced the newly added fonts from version 0.7 with other fonts that are hopefully a bit more legible
- Added Day 8 to the game

Simply located the 'game' directory. Open it and you should see the images.rpa, scripts.rpa and music.rpa files. Drop the extra.rpa file attached to this post into that folder and you should be good to go.

- Longer scene with Lisa in the dressing room on day 2
- Longer scene with Sophie trying to masturbate on day 3
- Option to kiss Sophie at the end of day 4

Not going to participate in this SJW-stuff discussion. Imho it's silly that people even get that idea from this game in the first place. But dayum, now i want for somebody to pick up "The Patriarchy™" as a name for this 3,5-rooms-Ren'Py-standard-company that every second game features. Love me some whacky meta-humor.
Anyway, to the update (0.8) - i will keep this one somewhat short:
Good job. The font is readable but still looks nice, the Orton-effect in the "dreamy" bed-scenes is a-okay with the setting, removing it from most other scenes was a good decision (well, in my book at least, just voicing an opinion).
Story-wise this is an interesting path, to say the least.

I come here to find games that, if possible, give me both entertaining stories and fappable fantasies, not to be haunted by the shit from both sides of the political spectrum that has already ruined the rest of the internet.

i imagined the confession of love more dramaticaly and complex, i'm a bit disappointed how rushy the girls start kissing and stuff since i find my self read more than looking to characters.
didn't find it porn game in first place due to the big lack of cg, if the game started dramaticaly aiming more than sexual way it must be continued like it to the end. still was a nice experiece reading it out
