Is the polymorph power implemented? Whether I buy it, or use the console like you said in an earlier post, it's been throwing exceptions. Even on a fresh install of 20.00 with the 21.00 get lucky hotfix, or the 21.00 get lucky updated file. Says it can't find the transform_base.png in the GUI folder. Also some func_time.rpyc errors as well. It only happens when I obtain the polymorph power. If you need it I can pm you the error log.

This is your problem right here. You need a fresh install of 0.21.00 of the base game before you apply the SLDR-GL mod.
I should have mentioned I added the hotfix to update it to 21.00 before adding the mod. Unless that also doesn't work and I need the 21.00 install right out of the gate

Edit: I also tried following the instruction to the letter. That's why I tried the fresh install of 20.00 and added the mod itself to that as well

All hotfixes are very small updates that only change a file or two. These will not update the major game version.

I an unofficial patch to the main thread, but I cannot promise it will work. Otherwise, you need to go get the full base install.

You're good people, thanks for the help. I'll give that a shot

what is it with people always trying to mix versions? just stick with updates, fixes to the same version and you should be fine... and please... read the first topic ALWAYS, since there are the most important answers... and 90 percent of questions could be avoided

@DarkPhilosopher a technical question for renpy.... where is the cache for the console-commands?... even when I am deleting all 3 files inside the cache-dir of a renpy-game there are older console-commands from previous installations somewhere... is it the preference-file?... I am holding this file mostly for the windows-rendering to avoid the changes in height and width... (yes, it is a little offtopic here, but I want to have a clean install sometimes without any references to prior settings)

I've been wondering about that myself. Since I always delete the complete game directory when I switch to a new version (to ensure the mod comes out clean) and the history is always there, it must be in the profile directory. Probably the file called 'persistent'. Although if I delete that file, it gets it all from the game directory again. :)

Looks like one truly needs to delete something in the profile directory AND the game directory. When you figure it out, let me know.

PS The iddqd error shouldn't appear in the 21.01 files or the 21.00 hotfix files. It only happened in the Get Lucky version and was a one time thing. And although I haven't yet had the time to look at 21.02, I have not seen anything game-breaking in 21.01, for me that runs fine. Just saying.

@DarkPhilosopher if in the profile AND the game directory all files are deleted, the renpy-console-commands are empty, too... maybe it is a doublefeature (saving the commands inside a game.save and the persisten.file)... if a special save will be needed one can always do a backup at another location, but I am not sure if older backups might break future versions, too... and the game (especially with cheats) can be played from the scratch within several hours (and is fun to play, if a slightly different path is chosen, since there are a lot of variant scenes inside)

can you please update the hotfix-3 from the author to your cheats?... the hotfix-3 seems to be stable (shows me an alpha-build 21.03) and is working with the console-commands...

if you don't have the time to completely crack the hotfix... do you know the console-commands for the powers? the other commands for favors, love, player.settings and so on are working

and for the overwriting feature... it is like.... the profile-dir is dominant and overwrite the game\saves\files... if there is nothing inside the profile-dir (or a missing-file like another save) than it is added from the game\saves\dir virtually for the opened game AND saved inside the profile-dir (at closing or saving)

and the saving is a "double" one... it is simultanously in the profile-dir and the game-dir with the (actuell) files.... so if there was a difference, after saving there are the same files in both directories

@DarkPhilosopher oooopssss.... did an unren with the game, just for fun (and to look inside the pics if there are new stuff)... and then I became adventurous... did a seriously investigation with notepad++ for the scrips.... voila...

player.power_FLY=x Flight (max 3)
player.power_XRY=x Senses (max 3 1=start)
player.power_CHA=x Psychoism (max 3)
player.power_MAN=x Sympathic Link (max 3)
player.power_APP=x Polymorphism ´(max 3)
player.power_WIT=x Mind Control (max 3)

so it is up to oneself to set the powerlevels between 1 - 3... and I tested it with a new game... works like a charm
I suggest not to set polymorphism.... 2 reasons... first you have to buy a better weapon for progress in the storyline... and second... the transformations with this power should be done inside the gamemechanics for being sure

and some observations between my playing with your cheat and seeing the new version, now.... it looks, that if you are buying all powers at globex, that there are some bonus, which are not inside your cheatscript ... maybe I am wrong but sometimes there were bonuses from books, sometimes not... and so on

a playable strategy would be... player.settings at a level for a comfortable playthrough (maybe xray at 3, mindcontrol at 3 and flight at 3, influences to your liking - be aware that initiative is strongly needed) and then play with the ingame-functions, since they should be working... and if you are setting the grade to 100 then there is always time to satiesfy all other goals

tested a (very) short playthrough with the newfound-variables... they are correct, but one has to use common-sense...

WIT, MAN, CHA are internally locked... so one has to buy one of them FIRST at globex... for WIT seems to be the logical choice I tested it with this variable, afterwards it is possible to set all others without buying them... FLY is independed... can be set from the start (if needed)... APP is special because the nightly changes, so I suggest always buying it and the upgrades, too.... and it is a way to do something during a waittime... to much cheating leave nothing to do for the player

and.... last but not least.... the variables for Familial Ties and Wild Oats... they work from console without showing the icons inside the phone (not sure, if it comes later)

m.SFT=False
sis.SFT=False and this will give the player free access to his family

m.SWO=False or True.... not figured out, which status is correct... but this is the variable for Wild Oats

hmm.... these variables will be reset inside the game to the original status... maybe there is another condition to met, too

There is a second variable for the Familial Ties/Wild Oats/Professionalism, I came across it while working on a new feature of the mod that enables Wild Oats in combination with Familial Ties (I want my cake and eat it too!).

As for the powers, when you buy them at Globex, it sets a series of variables. If you want the specific console commands, look somewhere at the bottom of the globex rpy-file. You can pretty much copy/paste them into the console. My mod (since 0.21.00) sets all of them (so including all the bonuses). All except the quest marker, which needs a bit of extra work.

Poly isn't fully implemented. I will see about writing a routine that calls the upgrade screen as soon as you activate the power with the mod, instead of having to wait until nightfall. Even then, you still cannot do much with the power because Baal hasn't fully implemented it in the game yet.

If I can download the 0.21.03 hotfix you mentioned, I will see about updating the mod. I think I have enough time in the next couple of hours.

So sorry
read all pages but still i am confused

i downloaded v21.00 and unzipped it as a complete new file.
out my v20.01 i dragged my save game folder and placed it on seperate location
Installed the 21.00 version (must be a clean install)
But when i start game for first time i still can load the old save games (so not a clean install then?)

downloaded here the first (recommended )sldr21.00 get Lucky file
after unzipping (tried 7zip and winrar) the downloaded files are ''loose'' in the folder
(so not in game renpy lib or where they should belong?)

by starting the game after the mod file i cant see the get Lucky option in the page where it should be
(Or at least where it Always was in my 20.00 build and the versions before that)
Also had never prob with installing your files but this time.... i do

What could i done wrong
want the mod and get Lucky back (made the game a bit less grinding and accesable0

THNX FOR READING
more thnx for helping me out

Savegames are stored in your profile. I always delete my game directory (including savegames) with every new version. The old saves shouldl still be available in your profile. That is why you can still see them. That's no problem.

Sounds to me, you didn't unpack to the right directory. By game-directory I don't mean the directory you installed the game in, but the directory called 'game' that is inside the directory you installed the game. I know, it's confusing.

Which is where the second part of step 4 comes in:
Code:
Locate your game-directory. It's the one with 24 .rpa-files in it, starting with Allie.rpa and ending with Terri.rpa
Find those files named Allie.rpa etcetera. There's also a scripts.rpa there that you will overwrite with the mod. Use the file named SLDR-0.21.00-GETLUCKY-HOTFIX.zip.

played some time with the new modded v.21.03 file... seems to work fine... strange, but appriciated is the fullpowered xp-gaining at the school-lessons (normally there was a random adding)... but looking at the grind in the game this new feature is nice (so no need to visit the initiative-training everytime to gain new levels at the natural talents)...
this will also have some impact at the strategy... concentrating on schoolactivity... or initiative/operations.... so a nice new aspect inside the game...
don't know, what you have done with the fighting (didn't test iddqp-feature)... but the fighting seems a little bit faster (like only the half amount of clicks as before)...

and there is another problem... programming npc... I am sure, the failure is inside the main-program and it has to do with the formula... I have not looked completely inside it (I am not a mathematican)... but there is a condition, depending on the amount of control, which will determine the duration of the programmin (and lessening the controlstatus)... mom will be reprogrammed without hussle (and in any combination of powers and stats)... but sis has a failure (if the control is not an even decimalnumber).. the control will have a restingnumber (like 1 or 2)... and the reprogramming will not be activated... not sure, how to change that...

and now, that I have seen the scripts, I want to test something for myself... (since I have only experiences with batch-files)... my guess is, if I change the start.values for some npc and the player inside the .rpy-file and then use unren to compile again, then I should have a working startsetting if I try a new game without setting the variables over and over again... looking forward, if my guess is true

Report of my trial (just for the fun and your can laugh with/at me)

downloaded renpy (newest official version), since unren has no function to compile

so far, so good... testet (naturally without reading documents) some functions inside the renpy-window... voila... similiar directories at the button... new project..... so going on... copied all files of the game into the new project-directory, modified some .rpy-files just for fun... (and here comes the big mistake... modified the resolution, too)... compilied everything... and started the new modded game...

surprise... it starts and has the cheat and other things inside... but a very very bad resolution for popping windows and other stuff... and naturally my script-changes won't work...

I am sure, that this is not the correct way to modify a renpy-game... but since 80 percent are working, maybe some tips or hints... and some light modifications of my own will be in the future

have fun reading and if you are finish with laughing maybe you can give some advice :)
