The technical part of maintaining both websites are done by the same people, one of whom is Sam. He actually talked about it once on the ULMF discord. There is an admin person on ULMF whose user name is 'F95' since 2016. The actual moderation of content differs between websites, obviously F95 is somewhat of a free for all, ULMF does not allow for direct requests of game-related files.

I don't think the websites are really competitors, ULMF is better for discussion of gameplay and F95 is a better aggregate for game files, saves and mods, their main source of revenue seems to be high traffic of perverts for pornography-related ad sales.

OK, i have to explain my issues with this as thoroughly as possible. Perhaps the fact that there is a new version of Plains, Hills and Cages is causing this problem. None of these files are buried far from the desktop.

1. Fresh Install of the game on the desktop directly to a single folder with unaltered files directly from DLsite as of 1 hour ago. Version 1.20

2. Attchecase4 program on desktop.

3. English Patch folder with most recent files for 0003 English Patcher on desktop.

4. AttachCase4 Program is open with Settings > Advanced > Allow drag and drop file instead of password box checked.

5. Running 'English_Patch_Installer' application from English Patch Folder. CMD prompt opens, type '1', hit enter.

6. Select Attachecase4 icon on desktop. and click 'open' in file management.

7. Select 'Game' which is an application located in unzipped folder and click 'open' in file management.

8. CMD briefly saying 'checking for update to Plains, Hills and Cages' or something close to that, then more text shows within a fraction of a second and the CMD closes itself, there doesn't appear to be any alterations to the Succubus Rhapsodia folder.


Is anyone else having this issue or had this issue and resolved it, please let me know.

I don't know but if they are the same peeps as F95zone it seems strange to me that they are so selective.
And sorry for the rant, I tried making an account there but got rejected (same info as here) and I strongly dislike that kind of management, I was able to bypass it with sites like bugmenot (where users can provide their account for others to use) but that site is now unavailable.

I've never had a problem about seeing stuff into the ULMF site, with or without an account. Obviusly you need an account to download stuff but is the only difference. If there are other people like you who has issue about it i think there is no problem to share the update link here aswell, so don't be mad like this but instead ask for an alternative... this is not a thing without a practical solution.

Okay. I have been struggling with this for hours now.

I keep finding contradicting information on how to get your english installer to work.

I have downloaded a fresh copy.

I have downloaded AttacheCase.exe

When you say 'fresh copy' I am assuming you mean "Fresh copy, nothing else added onto it. As in "Completely un-tampered with."

I also see something about needing to download EN_Mod_3042.zip . You say that it's in 'The latest version of stranges UI Patch'. The only thing I see in the post you link are three files: A read me. 0921 EN_Mod_Scripts.zip And 0921 JP_Mod_Scripts.zip.

I also have 4 separate scrpms, I was able to find 3219, 3177, 3170, and 3178. I have another .atc of 平原と丘と檻MOD_メインデータ_221028 .

I have looked at the read me. It's saying I need scrpms 3012-3015. as well as 3008 - 3010. I have looked over the planes, trains, automobiles Plains, Hills, and Cages mod site. I have tried searches. I cannot find any of the aformentioned scrpms you are referencing in the english read me. Nor 3075 or 3035 for that matter.

I do exactly what you say. Run a clean, un-modded version of Succubus Rhapsodia.

I get a quick second of "Identifying plains, hills, and cages mod." Then it disappears. Nothing happens. No 'english.txt.' folder. No changes whatsoever.

I can only imagine your thing is searching for scrpms that are not there and crashing as a result. What all do I need, exactly, before running your translator, and where exactly can I find them, because I have been going around in a circle between this post, the UI post, and the mod site, and I have not been able to find anything that is mentioned in his readme whatsoever.

Please give a clear, step-by-step process on exactly what I need and where exactly to find it, because nothing is where it's being instructed where it is, and I am losing my mind.

and punch in the scrpm you want at the end of the url.

Update 2: Even after collecting each one on the readme, all I did was download them, didn't move them anywhere outside the download folder. Booted the installer. Selected attachecase.exe. Selected new shiny clean version of Succubus Rhapsodia straight from DLSite, aaaand same thing again. I see in the previous comments something about manually installing it? What exactly would that entail?

the plains, hills and cages website handles installations differently now and the installer is broken because of it, this won't be fixed until there is an update from the translator.

Updating the game version when the translation is not at the same pace is never a good move btw.
You're always in time to upgrade your game, but is not the same when you have to downgrade it.

The patcher installs both the mod and the translation. You can fairly easily install the mod on your own by downloading it and applying it but you'll have untranslated files. The tricky part of Succubus Rhapsodia is that it's archaic coding makes it very difficult to translate without extensive knowledge of programming.

On ULMF there were two people working on the translation -- Strange and Witheredgryphon, Strange was working mostly on the UI and Wither was working on the rest of the translation including the programming and patcher, these two were separate patches that could function with each other. Strange hasn't been seen since late September and Gryphon posted an update in October saying he was still working on adding 'more' to his next update but also hasn't been seen since then (late October).

At this point the most simple solution is to wait (and hope) until Gryphon comes back to fix the problems with his patcher, the only other option is to dive deep into the coding and fix the compatibility between old versions of the patch and the newest version of the base game and the mod. You can find the old version somewhere in their ULMF thread but i've tried applying it manually and it currently causes a game-breaking bug at startup with the latest version of the game.

I have the aptitude to apply patches the old fashioned way (overwriting existing files) but none of that seems to work right now due to how the game is launched. The old patch is telling the game to look for one thing and the game is trying to execute another, conflicting file at the same time, causing a crash.

The good news is that the mod itself seems to be in one file now (as of like 2 months ago) so theres no more installing multiple different patches like was the case beforehand

I see that there is no news about translation in a long time, I have a feeling that the project has been abandoned. It is very difficult to translate this game with Plains, Hills and Cages Mod because until now the Mod continues to be updated.

They are overdoing it. There are also projects about replace current design charas with their own...
Non ironically a good point to stop with the mod is scrp 3075 or a few later versions, but right now is not that enjoyable like before imho.
The only things they could be added are the additional dialogues.
For the actual translation who knows.

I don't know how soon the English patch author will come back so unless some hero posts their working game for the rest of us then it looks like the whole project is FUBAR

your best bet is to get Mtool and use it on a fresh copy of 1.20 with the mod stuff installed. It will be machine translated so it'll be rough in some places but thats better than nothing. At least as a bandaid till the english patcher gets fixed

Is there any guide in how I just install the plains and hills mod?
Well kek game straight up just crashed in the opening scene
