If the scene only involves them interacting with the male character, yes. But if they perform any homosexual act, kissing, cunnilingus, or etc, with one another, then the Lesbian tag exists because it's telling you that act is there.

Your enemy here isn't the developer, it's F95 and their commitment to broad tagging rather than specific tagging.

Honestly i'm not sure how i'd tag that. Futa is one of those confusing as fuck to classify things because on the one hand I don't like dick but on the other hand it's stuck on a hot woman.

I can enjoy futa content more than straight content (sexist, I know) but I can't say it's a turn on. That isn't to say there aren't scenes with futa that are hot, course there is but i've seen straight content i've found hot too.

Your entire post boils down to "tags are utterly pointless".

That may just be more a case of lack of focus for whichever game you're looking at. As far as I know the tags just mean there is at least 1 scene in the game that matches that tag. So a game that has the lesbian tag might include tons of lesbian sex or it might have a grand total of 1 lesbian scene in the entire game and focus almost entirely on some other type of sex. I think the straight tag is basically assumed whether it's there or not so that one pretty much IS meaningless.

So IMO the tags are much more useful as a way to filter out content you DON'T want to see. So using myself as an example, any game with the Gay or Futa tag is not worth even trying. It could otherwise be the best game ever, but adding either of those would ruin it for me. Same goes for whatever you dislike the most. I rely more on the game's description and the screenshots that are typically displayed on the game dev's webpage to decide whether I think it's actually focused on what I want. The tags are just disqualifiers.

I don't think there is an explicit "futa on [gender]" tag. However, there is a tag for if the futa is a protagonist or not. So, in the case of a futa protagonist, there might be a reason to use gay or lesbian tags, but only because there isn't something specific enough. However, if you have a female protagonist tag and a futa tag, you know what you'll get there, and if you have a male protagnist and a futa tag, you have an idea of what you're getting into there. Usually, Femdom is used if a guy is getting dicked by a futa, though I might take umbrage with that if the domination element isn't present.

True, but at least in my case it's a disqualifier unless there is a way to completely toggle it off so I'm guaranteed not to see it. Just being avoidable isn't enough if I might see it by making the wrong choices. Most other types of content isn't a disqualifier for me. For instance anything involving feet does nothing for me but I can ignore it and move on if the rest of the game is appealing.

It's sort of like watching TV while eating, flipping through channels looking for something to watch, and stumbling across some show about hemmoragic fever or maggots or rectal exams or some other disgusting topic. Pretty much anything else could have been ignored, but now I've lost my appetite... Not really applicable to me anymore since I just stream everything on demand now but you get the picture. Certain tags are like that for me for porn/adult games, they just provoke such a negative reaction that there's no way to overcome "accidently" seeing one of those scenes. I've never seen a gloryhole in person but I used to work with a guy that claims to have been to a few. As far as i'm aware he was usually a pretty honest guy so i've got no cause to doubt him.

He said he was never aware of who the person on the other side was so it could have been male or female, either way it didn't seem like something he cared much about.

I would imagine certain people might get upset if they found out a guy was on the other side (or a girl if you swung the other way). I've sen some of those staged "revenge porn" films where they made out some girl sucked her brother off or some other nonsense, always awesome acting that gave away just how fake it was.

Well it might feel good, but I think for most straight guys if they found out it was a guy on the other side either during or after they'd still have a pretty negative reaction no matter how good it felt in the moment. I know I would. Probably 1 of many reasons to avoid glory holes...
