It crashes because plugin/menu.tpm tries to load resources from menu.dll instead of .tpm. Patching the file to use the correct extension with a hex editor fixes it. The incorrect string is at offset 0x1ab90.Does anyone know how to get this to work on Linux/Wine? One of the few games I can't get to start
Tested on Steam Deck with Proton Experimental, it starts fine now. Don't know if there are other bugs down the line.

Thanks, it worked! How did you go about finding out that this is the problem? Did you just check logs or is this a known problem?
Just so I know how to maybe detect and deal with something like this in the future.

P.S I played through like half of the game, though. Maybe things get more extreme towards the end xd

Not that bad of a game, but the voice acting is the real charm here.
I felt they pushed the words maso and pet a bit overly much that it kinda lost its "charm".

1. Proton's log file ended with lines about the game loading modules until menu.tpm then suddenly crashing with an unhandled SEH exception
2. I tried to make Wine output more details with WINEDEBUG=+all - it added mentions of menu.dll not being found along with >100MB of noise: I had no idea that was relevant at the time
3. Since (I thought that) the log had nothing about the problem, I then used winedbg to find out what part of the executable code is crashing
4. winedbg immediately blamed some address within menu.tpm
5. I loaded that library file in a disassembler to see what it was doing
6. Turns out it was crashing trying to copy a string it read from menu.dll without any error checking
7. With that knowledge + there is no menu.dll file + the log from earlier, the root cause was now obvious

Also, is it just me, or are other people enjoying this game as social and political commentary? As in, the protagonist is originally a depressed young salaryman trying to drown his sorrows and work exploitation his boss is subjecting him to by using callgirl services. He's actually got some inklings of class consciousness and realizing the exploitation inherent in the system (at least due to the overtime he has to do and because he is bad at his job), but he mostly just drowns his worries/sorrows in porn as escapism, (which I'm sure is the case for plenty of depressed Japanese workers, only ofc irl the solution to their problems is usually far more complicated than "just cater your sales presentation to each customer's needs and it'll all suddenly work out") and mostly blames himself, because it is the Japanese air culture to be self-critical and never go against established social consensus, even if you very much understand that you slaver about in a pretty unfair system and that consensus is bad - you just won't challenge it or attempt to change it if nobody else does so first, because that's what the "air" dictates...
There are actually a couple Japanese political scientists who wrote entire books about what they call "air culture" in Japan (basically, all the peer pressure and the norms everyone feels compelled to follow in Japanese companies, schools or all institutions or social settings really), and I very much see that in how the protagonist originially thinks of his problems. This game might not have strong enough femdom for my tastes, and I guess I'll see about that, but after playing for about 1 hour I at least like it as social commentary!

This one is good, but there was a Tenioha 2 and Tenioha 2 Limit Over. Tenioha 2, much like the first one, has many FMCs. It hits a fair amount harder than the first game. The Limit Over just adds more scenes into the setting. Wonder why those didn't get translated over solo Mami's Mazo game. Well I guess it is a much bigger project to take on Tenioha 2.
Mami throws bishoujo out the window and embraces the fat. Mami has massive boobs, very thick thighs, big butt, hairy pussy, and a not so flat stomach. Her fat distribution is thicc. As with all the Tenioha titles' FMCs, she gets very nasty during sex.
She's not a bad character, but for me she can't carry the Tenioha title on her own. The content scope is lacking making for quite the subpar Teinoha title. If you don't like mazo content, but are a fan of the artstyle then there something here for you.

Can't help but disagree with the 5 star review posted which said "It's not cruel, it's not mean, it's not forced." since that final scene was very cruel towards MC.

I still hope that one day we will see Tenioha 2 and Tenioha 2: Limit Over translated. Those games are amazing, especially Limit Over.

I can confirm there are two. One is the more lovey-dovey ending but she still takes the lead and buys you a ring (not for your finger) which is my preferred one. The gets fucked up and cruel. Not kink-shaming, just not my cup of tea.
