No but DC promised that this tech update would take 9 months to develop. So patreons thought it was going to be faster to vote for it instead.

Sure man it’s a huge shady operation, everyone knows that the mob love to launder their coke money through patreon porn games

To normal people that 60 K a month is a lot, but when it comes to funding mujahadeens or cleaning money made from prostitution then 60k is chump change.It’s just the fact that it’s a popular game which new people rediscover due to its wide appeal, and basic story wise done. As I’ve said before Lego, Funko Pops, skins etc proves that nerds have too much money. Besides that a lot of people can simply forget such a small monthly charge when it gets buried under all of the other bills ya know. It’s not that deep.

Their dedication to the rules is kinda respectable, if I was a mod I'd have thrown the tag on just to stop the flood of reports that will be coming in today. Then again, if I were a mod I'd have also locked the thread months ago and wielded a banhammer like Thor playing Whack-a-Mole, so it's probably a good thing I'm not one.
Except something did change there. After ages it got an update of questionable quality. And funny thing there, a member of the dev team no less came to ask for the abandoned tag to be removed.
At the moment in both cases it looks like the tag made an impact.

I think at this point more people are more invested in this thread rather than the actual game.
considering that the last update was in 2022 and we are in 2024, there is no game to invest in and talk about.

People acting like they are new things to talk about is just insulting.
The amount of talented artists that seemingly get scammed by programmers into multi-year content delays is too damn high. I get it, their initial code is probably garbage but guess what, it existed and it did something. Who cares how clean and scalable and *insert latest coding fad here* if the code doesn't exist. There's maaaaany games that have absolutely garbage code but no one is complaining because they're playing the game. Celeste is a great example(from an organizational perspective). Great game, great mechanics, 5k line classes though. But no one cares.
Let your sequel be where you implement the lessons you've learned from a system architecture POV.
Summertime Saga, What a Legend, Life in Woodchester, HHG, the list goes on, all stuck behind refactoring projects and programmers who probably have half a youtube tutorials experience behind them and think SOLID and clean code are commandments. I'll take bug riddled games over literally nothing any day of the week.
Let your sequel be where you implement the lessons you've learned from a system architecture POV.
