Yeah - got to this post (haven't gone through everything yet as there are some 10 pages since release) but I am hoping at some point to be able to make multiple saves that mean something i.e. branching paths...like in Katawa Shoujo or similar VNs where there a lot of paths defined by choices - and they won't keep changing on you due to new content being added (oh - so maybe sometime around New Years 2020)...not that I'm complaining, as so far all the new content is of such a high standard. If this does get finished, it will be a high water-mark for games of this genre...
Honestly, I just don't think that branching paths work all that well in "life-sim" games due to the number of saves I tend to keep, and the amount of time it takes to do a replay. I'm fine with it in ADVs that aren't too long, and I like it in VNs because they are set up well for it, the skip function makes replays a breeze, and some even just let you navigate to branching points after you've beaten the game. With life-sim's the problem is that even IF you rush through the dialogue you still have a crap ton of clicks location moves and the likes to go through EVERY DAY. It does scratch the obsessive itch and the carrot on a stick that many games do, but it makes losing out on content problematic.
The other issue come about when you have to decide what content to work on, you will almost always work less on content that less people will see, and if you branch of from there it can get even worse. Again, if a game is short enough that replays make sense no problem, or if the routes are different enough it doesn't get repetitive, but here it is.
And a lot of games do this. I kinda hope they back off on it. BB does it, TNL does it, this game does it too. And let's be honest, of all of these SS is probably the easiest one to play without a walkthrough or cheats.
maybe he had the costume already
I call shenanigans. Eric doesn't have enough money to buy himself a moderately expensive rare, and he needs you to buy him all his shit WHILE you're saving for college. No way he had the money to get that costume unless he was playing you the whole time. Which would make a certain amount of sense. The MC is kind of a sucker when it comes to giving people money.
So the only way to see the sex scenes with June is by cucking Erik? I can't bring myself to do that.
I felt bad until I typed that last paragraph, then I realized that I bought Erik, two games, an expensive Magic card, and a VR fucking headset, and a goddamned orc themed fuck-sleeve. And it ain't like I'm rich. All I got out of it was him helping at the lunch counter, and assistance breaking into the school. Hell, I even continuously get him more action from his mother. So y'know what?
Fuck Eric.
