Well, in all fairness he didn't just "take the money and run", since he had advertize his poor health from the start and plain outrigh mentionned that the patreon money would be use not for the game but to ay for health bill and tobacco (stress relief).
True, there no new since age ago. And at that time he did warn that his situation was preventing him from continuing, but that he'll be back to it when (read if) his situation get better.

Yeah, he could (if he didn't die since then) just come and officially say "it's game over for the work guy"...

It's either "take the money and run", "lost interest and left the project in limbo", or "real life shit"

I wish this game could be finished or have a spiritual successor, it had a magical formula of everything.

The problem is, when he said he had vision problems years ago, he somehow managed to play Fallout New Vegas.

Oh, come on! Having vision problems doesn't mean that one can't see enough to play a game.
Yeah, of course, it doesn’t interfere with playing, it interferes with work, well, it made me laugh. And what are you telling me, you are not in the know at all, but I donated this development both on patreon and before it. On patreon, this disabled person, who fucked everyone a year later, was offered to hire another developer for half the money from patreon, and keep the rest for himself, he didn’t do a damn thing, although I remember how he posted and said look what tablet I bought for "work". There is no need to play pity here for someone who does not deserve it.

No need to extrapolate on the unknown. :) In any case, it won't bring your money back, nor it will resurrect the project.

Seeing how much of a snake he is, if that were to happen I bet that he'll magically get better and release that "The Update™" that he's been "working on".
Why do you think this guy is a 'snake'? More importantly, why are you so upset over a porn game? Were you a patron of his?

Taking over a project without a creator's permission is a really shitty thing to do. You are neither entitled to the potential enjoyment that can bring nor are you entitled to the work that has already gone into the game.

If someone is willing to make the game from scratch with their own vision, that's one thing. To peddle a product built on stolen work is to trample on the effort and creativity that got you liking the original product in the first place. You'd have to be a delusional asshole to think your feelings on the matter should have more weight than the person who made all that exists in the game in the first place.

True... but to be fair he did steal a good chunk of the code from Maidensnow Eve iirc

But does it predate his Maid game? Might've been that.

From what I remember the Maidensnow Eve dev got pissy because people cracked his previous non-adult game and enabled adult content, some people also took the code. And that's why Maidensnow Eve is so locked down behind encrypted data files.
D&P dev took the code but retroactively got permission.

Having peoples gather to make some more content to the game is possible.
However, as we don't know how the dev planned the story, and has we don't have any extra art (CG for scenes or animated pixel events), it would required lot of skills.

Getting in touch with the dev to get ingo on what he planned and is authorization to finish would make thing simpler, but I doubt there enough peoples with the rights skill to make it happen...
