I'm going to build the rewards section next, which will allow Ruby to pick what happens to her instead :O

It's been a full week.
Between work, DnD, Influenza B, and life in general.
I've still put time in, making the outline logic gating for Ruby's rewards.
Depending on Ruby's level of trust, horniness, and her growing masochism there's now some 32 different outcomes
to write up dialogue and simple placeholder animations for :O
Once that's done I'm calling this a DEMO and I'll finally move on making this more of a development project and less of a hobbyist one.

This house is ours again, and work has resumed towards the demo!
I'm at just over 8000 lines in Renpy now, with another session or so of conditional clauses to go in the gym rewards dialogues (then the inevitable fixing my fuckups).
But we're back on track after a hiatus

You know, I should have just chucked some middling AI porn into a basic nest of menus or made an asset flip!

Soooooo Ruby's Gym Based training, punishments, and aftercare are all done for the demo gameplay loop.
But the rewards are SLOW going.

At this point there's about 50 or so scripted reactions Ruby can give to being told she can pick her own reward for a good training session, ranging from reluctantly getting a headpat when she doesn't really trust you or the situation all the way to having an orgasm (which you or she can give her) with or without extra spankings depending on how much she's started to like it.

That means a hell of a lot of dialogue and VERY basic animations to script, and while some of it can be handled with good old copy-paste it's a minority.

Given where I'm at I strongly suspect I'm gonna crest 10000 lines of code by the time this demo is finished, and I just wanna say thanks for the patience the couple of folks following this rambling meander through the mind and mistakes of an amateur dev have shown.
I'm in the final pre-demo push, I promise!

Well it's been a week, busy with work, got sick, etc. etc.
But that's not an excuse for no check-in!
I've still managed to make some time for progress to be made, clocking the line count of the program up over 9k and some
32,200 words of Dialogue so far!
My dissertation was only 40,000!

I've just got 9 more nests of dialogue for the outcomes of the Rewards section in the gym to write, and then the bug hunting can begin in earnest!
I'll drop that version here

This has been a serious labour so far, but I can't say it hasn't been fun.

Well it's STILL not ready, sorry

BUT I've only got one conditional nest left to do, the 4 responses Ruby can have when asked to pick her reward and she feels a fairly neutral level of trust for you.
Since these scenes will be, by necessity, fairly chaste even when she is horny they should be pretty quick to write.

Then I'll drop some extra testing stuff in up-top so the conditions can all be tested (it'll also be a kind of Gallery Mode of a sort I guess, not that there's any art to speak of yet.).
That build will go here and I'll deactivate the Test Mode once the bug hunt is done and the demo's ready.

5 months work and 10000 lines of code, just to make a text-based game where you spank an aged up Ruby Rose.
Seems like a mad level of effort really.

FINALLY!!!

10112 lines of code, 2324 lines of dialogue (37948 words), and barring edits we're nearly Demo ready.

OK so this build still isn't a proper demo.

Yet.

But it is a bughunt build which compiles and has test-mode activated.
Feel free to play about with it, I'll test from my end (as well as do an SPG and general smoothness pass) over the course of the next week and see what unintended madness I've created.

There's special versions of a few of the interactions that require 100% pain threshold, and SO many options for Ruby's self-chosen reward too (but these are likely the buggiest).

My game was on the F95 front page.
I've loved H since it first made it's way to the UK on VHS, and video games since they came on tape cassettes.
And now I've made an H-Game.

An SPG Pass, some bug clarifications, and added music have brought us a step closer to fruition, with v0.02.2 live on the main thread Main Thread
So the next addition will be the first pass of Ruby sexy-times, there's a metric boatload of background stats, triggers, and wot-not to do the sex stuff.
Even more so than the rewards section because the MC's a passive actor there, where here you have the initiative but we also have to factor for Ruby's agency too.

In theory it should work a bit like this;

And that's going to have to happen for hand stuff, titfuck, oral, vaginal, & anal so it'll probably end up more content than what's in the game so far!
This is gonna be a LOT of work.

This is going to be a total MONSTER to add, so I'll probably start by adding Ruby's hotdogging sex act with all the various tones it can have and then that can provide me with a codebase to build all of the other acts later. I could honestly work full time on this and still not be ready to add a new member of team RWBY by 2025 :O, but when I do they'll all get their own unique act and kinks (thinking tit-fuck for Yang, footjob for Weiss, and Blake..... I'm not sure about).

The bulk of today's work has been in actually building he logic gates, tests, and setting thresholds.

There's a lot of moving parts to get us to our sex act and we're getting there, but it'll probably be at least another session (maybe two) before we're up and ready to run tests.
Of course that does not preclude an update post and the unleashing of the obligatory butt.......

Weekly check-in and we've got all the logic outlined for the structure of sex acts.

The code in the spoiler below, once integrated into the main script, will let us hotdog Ruby by persuading her
by testing her horniness and trust.

Once I've tested that in a live build I can copy the structure to create the structures for the other methods of persuasion and force, then test all of them.

Then the real work begins, writing all the dialogue and simple animations for what will be dozens of variations of the hotdogging of Ruby.

In some games, points mean prizes. In this game, updates mean butts.

Busy weekend of other, less spankable, things has kept me from spending more than a few hours coding.
BUT I have managed to get compiling a viable test build for the logic, so now I can do testing over the next week!

Still as a great and respected man once said to me;

A full day of testing, repairs, and re-testing (not to mention overhauling my test mode which was woefully under-tooled for all the new variables) has been completed!

And the great news is it works!

Now that the structural testing is done it's time to populate all of that with the sexy times!
That's..............gonna be a task.
The next week or two will be me trying to push out an actual update, and leave you with at least one way to sexually interfere with everyone's favourite undergrad huntress.

I'm cracking on with the writing, trying to get a love-bomby kinda tone into the "Gentle' sex scenes without going overtly romantic.

I'm trying to be consistent with how our two main characters interact, especially under all of the different levels of Ruby's interest, and weave some backstory into these interactions too. For those of you familiar with early RWBY you'll remember that a lot of the most characterful stuff often happened during Monty's fight scenes, and while I'm no Monty I do want to capture that feeling that action, development, and exposition don't have to happen in discrete scenes.

Also backtracking through the code and adding triggers so that ruby has some extra dialogue if she teased you by grinding her butt on you today, or has ever orgasmed while being wedgied, before she does any hotdogging so that her dialogue feels more naturally interconnected.

I've been listening to The New Topping Book, trying to make sure I keep the tone of this as playful and BDSMy (even when straying into CNC stuff) and not outright abusive. I know that's not gonna matter to some folks, but it does to me.
