am not going reply to every part you say, because it takes far to long to quote each part.

Wrong. The fact is Paypal gave Patreon and ultimatum. Paypal is a source of their profitability, as it makes paying for things online simple, and since you don't have to share credit card info, safe. As a result, when Paypal said, no more incest, as it violates our terms, Patreon was forced to make the decision. Patreon had previously come out assuring us that they had no intent on censoring us.
I just posted to someone else that it was paypal, doesn't matter if its paypal or patreon themselves, the reason is still the same.
You don't know how markets work, so you're grasping at straws, trying to prove your point, but failing, because the market already exists with evidence to prove your assumptions incorrect. F95 isn't incest in a vaccuum, its just an adult gaming piracy site. The market is flooded with incest because it makes money, not because people here want to see it. The fact that it makes money is proof that those who are interested in adult gaming put their money into incest games, and that is why they became popular. To imply otherwise, as you must be doing in order to support your argument, is to put the cart before the horse.
so you really think everyone who wants to play adult games enjoys incest?

do you really think that out of everyone who wishes to play adult games, the number of people who want to play incest games is higher than people that don't?

no matter your answer, that is YOUR opinion , same as me thinking the amount of people who dislike incest would be higher than people who like it.

the market is up to interpretation, I obviously interpetrate it differently from you , doesn't mean am wrong, just means I have a different opinion. An if you reread my posts, you will see I have supported my opinion with what I consider to be facts.

If people weren't interested in incest porn, people wouldn't pay for it. The prevalence of incest porn in the entire porn market shows that people are interested in and will pay for incest porn. You don't like incest. That's fine. The market will reflect the overall consensus though, and that consensus says incest is doing well.
I never said there wasn't a market for games with incest, I said there is a BIGGER market for games without incest.
I just quote an earlier post of mine to answer that.

if you go through my posts on this forum, you would see I mentioned this poll and on this forum, more people prefer incest.

however if you go to a bdsm forum or voyeur forum, then incest not be the most preferred choice.

There are thousands of users on this website, there is one poll that got around 3k votes ... that has a few hundred.

Hardly worth mentioning that poll at all.

That one is just for Teachers Pets and has more votes.

The daughter got less votes than a girl with no relation to the MC ... incest lost.

I would agree with the last part, I presume you mean patreon decide for themselves, it does appear like its more paypal and 3rd parties that forcing the rule change, patreon should have freedom to decide themselves.
Ideally I meant creators to decide for themselves. They should know best what their target audience should be. And since everything they do exists only in fantasy land, nobody should give a damn about what it is. But it turns out that I'm naive and it's far more complicated.

From what I read, it wasn't Patreon's idea, but they were forced by Paypal. Some say that it wasn't even Paypal's idea and they were forced by banks. Which I'm not sure if it's true, because banks don't seem to mind when their customers pay for very similar stuff elsewhere. And there are even more subjects in the game, e.g. payment processors. And they sometimes do refuse to provide service for some types of contents. It makes sense when it's risky for them, because it's something that attracts fraud. And they even have the right to refuse something just because they don't like it, because of morals or anything. Paypal can do the same. Even Patreon has such right, if it was their idea. You can't really say that anyone is doing something wrong.

What I'm still struggling with, is why the hell isn't there a service that just focuses on payments and nothing else. Why every large subject feels the need to look "good", fight for morals and stuff? Who are they trying to impress? Not me, all I want from them is to mind their main business. When/if I'll ever want moral police, I'll look elsewhere.

Proof?

Don't repost that shit poll with a few hundred votes on a site with thousands of users, it's meaningless.

The fact is, you don't know what most people prefer, you know what a vocal minority do.

That's because, unless the porn producers all join together to create their own funding source, it always will go back to banks.

In order to process thousands of payments from hundreds of countries with dozens of different currencies, you need scale. At least to do it cheaply enough.

To this point, only mainstream corporate banking provides that, so you're always going to run afoul of the moral restraint on what can and can't pass through their system.

As for why? You know that already: money. Cross too many taboos and boycotts start. Or shareholders start making noise. Or whatever, but those high paying executive management jobs could be in jeopardy. Better to kick a few porn creators to the side and not risk it. Simple, if not agreeable.

I can't answer that completely as I don't know who exactly was the moral police (as u put it), all I know is why incest was flagged, which is due to incest always been a taboo that majority of people do frown upon.

businesses are always going to do what they think is best for business, an whether its right or wrong, incest is a tricky area for businesses to allow.

end of day, this is going to hurt developers and I don't see there current earnings going down, if anything I see it going up. also there already people that made incest patches/mods, so its not really that big a deal like some seem to think it is.

if you look at games listed in popular games on this forum, most of them have incest.

No, I think, given the evidence of the popularity of, number of, and profits from the numerous incest based porn games, that they have the highest market value. This, you may recall from your initial posting, was the discussion. You implied that once all the incest game developers are forced to make games without incest they'll have access to a wider share of the market. This is a fallacy, one that, given the evidence to the contrary, is wrong.

no matter your answer, that is YOUR opinion , same as me thinking the amount of people who dislike incest would be higher than people who like it.
I'm not basing my answer on opinion, I'm basing my answer on the prevalence and profitability of incest.

the market is up to interpretation, I obviously interpetrate it differently from you , doesn't mean am wrong, just means I have a different opinion. An if you reread my posts, you will see I have supported my opinion with what I consider to be facts.
That's not how facts or markets work. I don't know how many times you can ignore this, but I'll try one more time. Based on the data we can all see plainly, with our eyes, there are more incest games, and those incest games are all at least moderately profitable. That means, Incest games hold a sizable ratio of the market. They aren't alone in that market however. There are plenty of quality games that aren't incest. The plethora of "trainers" that are out there. The fantasy titles like Kingdom of deception. Female protagonist games where the game is all about the girl's sexual awakening. All sorts of mystical sex games, from succubus, to mind control, to curses that increase lust around you. There are bondage games, and rape games, and body transformation games. Its all out there, and there's a quality game to be found in each genre. However, without tampering, incest still rose to the top, taking the largest portion of the market share.

If the market had always been nothing but incest, as if somehow no one had ever made a non incest game, your argument, that more people would play games that weren't incest might have some merit. But the reality is, those game already did exist in the same market as incest, and still failed to bring in as many players. This is a fact, not an opinion, incest games are the largest market.

I never said there wasn't a market for games with incest, I said there is a BIGGER market for games without incest,
All of this leads to this little nugget of opinion. If there was a bigger market for non incest games, then why did incest dominate the market? I don't want to hear you say some alternative facts bullshit like you tried before. The market is the market, whether you like it or not. Incest is a large factor in that market in spite of the fact that non taboo content exists to compete with it. If anything you've said here is true, then why is it not reflected in the market?

Your reasoning for why its meaningless is inherently flawed. Polling works on statistics. If we took the 838 votes and did a little math we could make, within a margin of error, a good estimate for how many people on this entire board liked which fetish.

However, that poll is flawed in other ways, the fetishes listed are inconsistent and not matched with their obvious parallels, like Shota should be matched with Loli. Also, it should have been a pick multiple poll, allowing us to see a cross section of what individuals do like and don't. However, 838 votes is a lot. It's more than enough to be a random sample size based solely on the variable of F95 ueserbase.

I'd say such a statistical analysis would be wrong by the fact that the polls here are highly biased by the activity in the forums, for a true market analysis one would need unbiased samples to get more accuracy.

I think Darth was commenting that the poll could be statistically relevant for the F95 community

Hence my clarification of it being a good estimate of how many people on this entire board like which fetish. But yes you're right, a true poll would need to be blind and done anonymously.

This is not an analogous poll to the one that aweriel posted. His poll asked about fetishes in general, while your poll only asks about characters in one game. The results of your poll could come down to which character has a better model or story, and actually say nothing about people's preference for incest, while the poll aweriel cited directly gets at that question.

Sure, there are more votes in your poll, but the number of votes doesn't make it more valid in answering questions for which that poll didn't directly address. The other poll actually asked and answered the question of which fetishes people preferred, which makes it a far better indicator of preference.

Furthermore, the poll you posted has the daughter at a very strong second place, getting more votes than all of the girls in the game combined, other than the first place winner.

I'm sorry, but that poll doesn't counter the claim that incest is popular, and it actually helps disprove that it's unpopular.
