If it was an expansion I would understand that, but you don't have to own Two Horns.
You still get every single sex position and almost every single random NPC variation of Two Horns plus the zombie stuff.
Why is a one time $14 pricetag unreasonable?
The majority of mobile games have cashshops that accumulate to several thousand $.
What oh no, I never said I wanted to "buy' this game, well I guess I implied it. Usually once I play the "demo" of a game long enough I'll decide I want to buy it, I'll then look into legal ways to do so as well as the development history. I did exactly this for the original game, and swiftly came to the conclusion that the dev doesn't deserve my money unless he cleans up his act, he has not. As for why I think the price tag is ridiculous, well as a standalone product it's pretty lackluster, like there are so many features that should be here but aren't, namely the clothing system. Like sure you can bleach your hair and tan your skin, but outside of preset outfits you have no other customization options, I could excuse that for a male protagonist, but the paperdoll system is already complete for females, why can't you fully customize her clothes? Also why can't you collect clothes for customizing captured girls, undressing is still a mechanic but it has no purpose now. There are also the 2 outfits you can't acquire without knowledge of the original game, and the two towers wasted so much fucking time for no reason, because it was padding. I could judge the game's content based off it's unique quality(Futa without cheating/paying and 3 unique poses that are kinda eh.) but even if I did, the game is just a shallow weak 4 hour romp, where you'll see all the game has to offer in several minutes. And don't get me wrong the original also has this problem, but the original felt like a finished product, whereas this standalone DLC was clearly rushed.

I guess it's a subjective thing. Personally i'll happily buy Oniga because i did play Two Horns in the past and it's actually among my favorite. Pink Art Café deserves the support because they are one of the most creative H-devs around, especially now that they supposedly dropped their anti-consumer antics. I really hope the devs can stick around.

Well if this one really ends up disappointing me in the end, i still hope the devs stick around. In a world filled with VNs and Ren'Pys, games like Two Horns are a real breath of fresh air

I guess you just have a lot higher standards than me.

I have worked on so many awful games over the past 2 years that even this "short experience" seems pretty great to me. :HideThePain:

Edit: Passed the 6 hour mark on my save now, while playing like a normal person, and still haven't finished everything.
TheBlindsteve saying "a shallow weak 4 hour romp," is complete bullshit.

Oh they haven't, I'm sure their next game will continue the trend, keep in mind that a large amount of items are locked behind paying for an annual subscription, with the only good part behind that you're guaranteed to be in the system for life if you pay once, though that is always subject to change. I'd love to be proven wrong though, but I only expect it to get worse, I do know at one point in the original you could unlock a few of the special supporter only items by doing all the sidequests, but I have yet to find such a reward in this game. And I think he removed that in the latest update for the original, but I'm not going to replay it to find out.

I mean I do/don't, the game is pretty decent for porn game standards, but that bar is so low that having gameplay outside of stock RPGM makes it "good". But I'd prefer to judge games equally, and if I judge it entirely based off the fact that it's a platformer with barebones combat... yeah, the porn is the only reason it's remotely decent. I'll gladly replay Succubus Affection(beaten the game 9 different times with many self imposed challenges) even if there wasn't porn, but when I think back to both Two Horns games, yeah I replayed the original once and that was only cause I lost my save, I did not enjoy that second playthrough.

I see. Thanks for boiling it down in great detail like that. I'm hoping the Itch.io one-time purchase is satisfactory enough for me. I'm not very fond of Patreon monthly subscriptions for one, monthly payments tends to be allergic to online credit cards and two, i'm currently jobless =/

Getting the supporter items by editing the files is pretty easy and the dev made no effort to prevent you from doing it.
l8rdude made a file decoder that let's you edit the game files and game saves a good while ago and the dev did not make any attempt at breaking it.
It even works for the DRM filled version without issues.

Me and kata are maintaining a Shophack mod that adds a vending machine for those items to the first Sistermart in Two Horns, and a new NPC in the School hideout in Oniga.

Anyone have a full save or a guide to the main quests? The ingame hints of the quests are not clear enough, and there's nothing that tells me where I should go to get the things I need

I know you shouldn't have to do that and maybe I'm evil, but I don't really see an issue in milking rich/lazy people.

Sure it's pretty easy to edit those files, and it's great that the dev hasn't tried to obfuscate you getting them with some asinine DRM procedure. But the problem is that if someone wanted to legit get these items, they would need to use a subscription service, which might not even clear with their bank since chances are fairly high it's an overseas transaction. This alone will prevent most players from getting it since it's a lot of steps to gain items that should probably already be rewards for doing stuff in the game, and would've just been early access to those items in a better game.

And yes I do hate people that blindly support these practices, they're entirety why lootboxes, battlepasses, and microtransactions are still a thing. But that doesn't mean I'll justify supporting people that do such practices. It's not like this is some dev forced to put in horse armor by their publisher, this game is only beholden to itch/dlsite regulations and is still trying to 1up the people that paid money for his game.

Mac version doesn't work
Probably gets blocked because it's not a properly signed app. (It's not the original game version.)
According to a different post you can fix it by doing this:

1. Open the terminal, put this command into the terminal: sudo spctl --master-disable (this disables the security check for the app)
2. The Terminal will ask you to type your password in so just do it, then type in: xattr and drag the app into the terminal and press enter (Don't forget to put in a space in between the xattr and the application)
If it still doesn't work try putting the app into the applications folder and then do these steps, most of the time this works.

I would obviously like to go back to the days of "buy full game and actually have full game", but at this point you just shoot yourself in the foot by doing that. Being faced with a serious economic crisis is not a good time to work on principle, ethics, or morality.

I mean think about what kind of site you are posting to right now.
I know I'm not a good person. I've made my peace with that.:KEK:
I am most certainly not a good person, if a hell does exist I'm positive I'll be burning with the rest of them. But that doesn't mean that I can't notice, and berate people for entertaining these practices, whatever justification they give is just pure bullshit. But further escalation of this will undoubtedly become offtopic, so I'll just leave at this, you can buy with a conscience and you can also pirate with one.

Nope yuri content is 100% unsupported, as in there isn't any content of it at all, the only fucking happening in this game requires someone to have a dick.
Not really, have a bug between hostility camp's NPC, such as zombie and police, when one side find enemy, they will lock-on that NPC, then use love wand to attack that who lock on another NPC's character, then she will fuck to that NPC even if is female. but yuri only in SD, if you see it will become male XXX female

i think im currently softlocked at the part of the last quest where you defeat the team onirashi executive in shibakari town (tried everything like switching to female, fucking the executive, etc. and can't progress for some reason)

edited for clarity
