I also don't like the dev, but in the post of the update says, right below timestamp:

"Added the 12th quest to the game ^_^".

So there is an update.
But the problem is the same: They are gonna finish the new trilogy of FFVII before this gets done.

Ok, fair... On the other hand they did a really bad job at making it noticeable because putting it at the very top makes it look like a subtitle. Whoever updated the thread must've missed it too, because the changelong only includes the 2 paraghraphs in the middle and skips over the fact they added another quest

So the changelog here mentioned none of that. But just so we're on the same page, the dev collected nearly $25k, said they worked on this for 9 months, and gave you all of this....


....and the people here criticizing dev and calling this a Patreon scam are the ones that in your mind are stupid?

With the money that the Patreon neckbeards have given dev over the last 7 years, one could fly first class round-trip to pretty much any 2nd/3rd world country in the world, hire elite absolutely gorgeous escorts for the week, purchase and have them dress up in whatever cosplay outfits you want, have them walk around naked and have sex in public, pay a professional videographer to film it all in 4k, pay someone to edit it all into a dozen fun 30 minute videos with additional high res photos, pay the resulting legal fees for public indecency, and still have enough money to fuck the girls Scrooge McDuck style on a bed of cash for the rest of the week in a 5* hotel eating whatever room service food you want. And then do it all over again every year.

Yeah, the side-eye from the girl in this photo is her peaking behind the menu going "I can't believe there are nearly 1,000 people still falling for this shit every month"

LOL look at this game, release date 2016, now its 2024 and it has little to no new content ^_^ laughable, this is even worse than NewLife from splendidOstrich which is the king of patron milking.

The game is literally just a rip-off of "Naked Order", the whole concept is the same, most of the content is literally just a 1:1 with new artwork. This game is only recently anything more than a re-skin. To be clear, if you're familiar with "asset flips", this isn't an asset flip, it's a re-skin, the new content is the assets. They had 10 months between 0.6 and 0.7, though they did give Era Hunter an update between the two as well. I like the artwork, which is why i'm watching this, but if we assume they cut 50% of the money/time between projects, then they had 15k and 5 months, i assume this isn't their full-time jobs, as two people on about 1200~(guesstimate after patreon fee's, subscribestar income and taxes) each month isn't great.
I don't know if thats the split, it could be one of them works full-time and the other works part-time, or both work part time, i have no idea. But this amount of content is still woefully lacking for 5 months, what i *assume* is going on, based on their projects, is that they're either really fucking lazy, really incompetent, or they literally both work full-time jobs. I try to assume the best of people when i can, but based on their track record, and the amount of content between the two, i think they work on Naked Hunter to bring in cash, work on Era Hunter because they actually want to, and work slow because it's comfortable to do so.
A great parallel is "Bryn's adventure" which uses AI art, so it only needs a programmer rather than a programmer and artist, makes less than 100$ a month, and is currently close to this game in content. Its had 4 months of developement. Naked adventure has had 5 years, even if we're generous and say it was split between the two games, thats still 2.5 years, and 5 years of payment, for literally just different art, probably close to a hundred thousand dollars for the better art.
I'm not one to talk though, i still shill out to Bedlam Games, which has a similar lack of work to payment ratio, though they did private their patreon stats after people started complaining that 7k a month for spaghetti code in a dead system like Rags with a janky commission from the cheapest option was kind of a rip-off.

Well someone doesn't understand hyperbole. Considering the time it took to even get an update and the actual content of the update, its effectively nothing.

That's just a way for them to keep patreons coming and feed them a bone once in a blue moon, he indeed pulled the "i'm sick" and "the update is delayed" card already
