Me neither, but its a most prominent issue with japanese devs for some reason, they prob still think they're in meiji era going all isolationist~
Jokes aside, no idea, we could consider ROBF dev's xenophobic points a thing in there, like how he used to say "i wont make english translation because gaijin only pirate my game and i wont get any profit from them, only japanese people pay for games"
and yes, a dev said this, not exactly these words because it's been a while, but it was basically that, good thing he "kinda" turned a new leaf and brought his last game on steam.

Which i bought.

Just to send a message.

It's not worth thinking bad about the devs but piracy is such a stupid reason to go full isolation mode. Their own people definitely dabble in it as well after all.
I think the creator of butterfly affection said the same thing. This is probably the result of some sort of mental problem they developed at some point so it's difficult for me to simply brush their feelings aside and yell profanities.
This is not an insult mind you, I prioritise mental health over everything else. If it makes them actually feel more comfortable they should keep at it.
My standing on piracy is: "If it literally feels bad to buy something, feel free to pirate it". People with low buying power will have a fuck ton more difficult time justifying a purchase than the average person, I won't even mention the mental toll it takes to constantly live worried about money. I'd say it's more humane to let them do as they please since it just results in an extra fan who might end up getting into a better financial situation and be one of those sales you're so fucking invested in earning.
Of course people are still going to jump you and yell things like "Just get a job, you don't have to buy it to live, you're scum for stealing from the devs." While sipping their tea and sucking their cocks as reward for their service to humanities' morals.

This turned into a personal rant really quick and I apologize for time wasted. Anyway, point is, Some people buy shit and some people don't want to/can't buy shit no matter where you're from. If you're gonna end up getting a net gain I don't think it's worth throwing shit at pirates who were most likely never going to use your product otherwise anyway. It'll just result in hate between groups.

The situation is sort of different in certain porn content though. Some people just don't want their credit card company questioning their purchase of 16 volumes of "Farting hero battle fuck".

Going to add a couple of games to the list tomorrow. Going to try and finish SHRIFT and add it to the list soon, considering this is coming up:
shrift2.png

Also, while I'm not going to add these games to the list yet, considering how early in development they are, check these two out:
Married Life in the Ancient Pyramid is a cute game about having an Egyptian-themed Lamia waifu.
Monster Island is a monster girl clicker game.
Both are super early in development, but they seem promising enough!

Hopefully your guys weekend is going well!

SHRIFT 2 IN 2022? This year has been something else. 2023 will hopefully be a great year for games too.

Considering how long it took for shrift 1 to get a playable translation I'm not sure about it though.

Either way, can't wait to unload magnum shots between the eyes of monster girls. I'm of course talking about our magnum dong :)

I was wondering why I did not find this sooner but it turns out it's pretty new,
a lot of games here are not for me and the rest I pretty much already played,
I do know all of them, to the point I am pretty sure I dont have any new ones to suggest,
still I will keep an eye out.

The thing I like a lot about monstergirl games is that it is usually very easy to understand the kind of content they have.

I actually found a game with monstergirls, but I have not played it and I dont even know if it counts, I dont know how to link things but the game is Village Rhapsody, I am waiting to see if it meets my standards but maybe someone else likes it, it seems light on monstergirls, there is a lamia a doggirl and a fox I think.

Also a single monstergirl game is "I Got a Millenary Cat" with a catgirl, it was broken but the devs fixed most of it and added mouse controls, the version on this site is still outdated however, the premise is simple but the artstyle is cute, also she has two tails so she is technically a bakeneko and I feel like they are pretty rare.

Feel free to tell me if I did something wrong, I am new to this kind of thing, I read the rules and am not sure if this is too off topic.

Nope, you are perfectly fine.
Pretty much any discussion relating to and focused on monster girl stuff is allowed, even outside of games. The games on my list are the ones I have played recently and reviewed, you are free to have your own reviews, opinions, and outlooks on future content and share them within the thread.

I had the first game, Village Rhapsody, on my backlog, but the second I Got a Millenary Cat wasn't, and I didn't know about it. The reviews seem to point to the fact it's pretty shit, hopefully it is fixed because the art looks really cute.

Thanks for the clarification, I was not sure about this because I dont really like these games, I am waiting for confirmation on content for Village Rhapsody, as for the cat one it is apparently already fixed and with mouse controls but not updated here.

In regards to monstergirls in general I know the MGE ones and I like all of them at least design wise,
personality and behavior are a different story but they are supposed to be more general guidelines and may vary between members of the same species, at least that is how it looks to me, after all they cannnot be all perfect clones of eachother right.

Monstergirls games and media in general are easier to like for me, they tend to have less of the things I hate, and at least the MGE based ones tend to have the most important quality to me, they are loyal, after they find a husband they are exlusively his, which expecially nowadays seems a very hard thing to find both in reality and in games.

I am probably going to wait for your review of Village Rhapsody before playing it.

The MGE pages are heavily biased and usually account for the story of one couple. They serve as very generalized guidelines more than anything. Most of the stuff you read is also extremely hyperbolic as well. The lore books and FAQ confirms this. But the universal truth is 1), an MG would never do anything to make her husband suffer, and if they did they would fell horrible, and 2) Every MG is their own person with their own personality.

Thanks for the confirmation, I guessed that was the case since there are mentions on other pages of individuals acting in a way considered odd for the species, as for personality I think the best exemple of their individuality are the branches of sabbath, if the baphomets can have such a variety then it is easy to assume the others can also be different.

I get easily caugt in theorycrafting but until now have not been active in the interaction departement.

Also sorry if it seems I was complaining, it was just an observation.

Chalks, have you tried Divine Dawn yet? I think you'll like it a lot. Not sure if you count it as kemonomimi or just non-human, but the potential LIs so far are:

I am not sure if it counts but era games are a thing, I dont know if Touhou characters count as monstergirls but there are a few of them that at least get close, most of the games are text only with a few portraits but are quite complex in gameplay, also most of them are about Touhou and in japanese, I think there is one on this site which is eratohoK, I dont know if text only games count so I apologise in advance, I think a new version with azur lane characters exist, in japanese for now, and I think a lot of the boat girls from there at least look like kemonomimi, unless boat girl is a species.

I believe there's no need to apologize. I also thought about eratohok but decided against mentioning it, I was not sure it counts since it plays more as a kingdom management game with occasional squirrel girl, fairy, demon, ghost and vampire sprites rather than a game with monster girls.
When I say it like that it sounds like it fits lmao. The problem is humans and the youkais play exactly the same in that game so you end up not being able to tell the difference.

It's a very cool game y'all should try either way. A lot of characters have specific endings for them. You can make an evil spirit fall in love with you and enjoy it having a mental breakdown over how wholesome you are >: D or do the same to a god or something and make her give you immortality for free. I just wish it was fully translated, it's the only thing holding it back.

I would include a Touhou game if it focused on one or more MG characters (Ran Yakumo, Suika Ibuki, Nazrin, etc.), but I haven't touched those games yet. Something purely text-based is a bit tricky since if it doesn't mention MG features like Ran Yakumo being a kitsune it clearly wont qualify.
There are more era games than tohoK, the 3 biggest ones are K, TW which is more like a dating sim in gensokyo and you have time stop powers, and megaten which does not have anything to do with touhou and instead is a combination of various persona and Shin megami tensei games, there is also a variant called SQN I think which revolves arround training monstergirls specifically, of theese megaten and SQN also have special comands for sex if the character has certain parts, like a caress tail option or caress wings, sadly of theese the most are not translated, megaten is mostly translated for UI and RPG elements and most stories, but the sex interactions are still in japanese, also in SQN most characters are untranslated as well, overall I aggree that tohoK does not really fit but TW and the others probably fit more considering the higher ammount of monstergirls, megaten has the demons and SQN calls them succubi.

They are a bit complicated and not really user friendly, also the fact they are text based does not help, but they do allow for much more freedom than other games specifically because of that.

In the end maybe they dont belong here but they are at least tangentially related so I am glad they where not too off topic.

Talking about MGQ Paradox, i wanna know ppl's thoughts about Sonya, because dear god she is insufferable, i hear some people talking how they like her, but the only thing i saw was an annoying friend that kept pestering Luka for almost everything he did and for saying obvious things.

But the worst part is her artwork, yeah... my 2nd playtrough i just said "nope" and left her at Lv.1 eternally, i dont even know if she's good in battle or anything, but the artist they chose to draw her just makes everything look awful, and its not even because he is a bad artist, he really knows what he's doing, but his style is just so goddamn ugly

You mean the childhood friend character right? I'm not sure how anyone ended up liking her. I didn't dislike her just didn't care. Wasn't it a plot point that she's not supposed to exist? It's the only reason I tolerated her and yeah, eternal level 1 xD.
I'm not gonna say the artist is bad, I'm just gonna say he's better at making stuff look scary and uncomforting! :D
Sonya works in that way because she really feels out of place.
All of this opinion is from what I remember of Act 1 though. Maybe she ends up getting more interesting.
