If this guy is a whistleblower about Redamz been a fraud, can anyone corrabrate his story?

Given Redamz's apparent lack of professional discipline, it wouldn't surprise me if this was all true. A worsening release schedule, only to end up with a mini game(hello feature creep!) to show for months of work. Then he scrapped a demo milestone to market a prologue as a 'release,' which still hasn't been released. He refuses to hire help, despite a considerable budget available to him. Finally, it's not like this would be the first time a dev has dishonestly ripped assets for their own project.(and certainly clarifies his hesitance to higher help, outside of $$$)

I bailed out of supporting his project last year because of this behavior. Patreon is not a charity(generally), and I wish some people would stop excusing creators as such.

Well to be honest, if I would make 40k(?) a month for literally doing nothing, I would do exactly the same.

What's been presented by Redamz so far looks gorgeous and sexy with quality animation and straight-to-the-point lewd dialogue. It's all I ask from H-Games. But as much as I love MGI I have to agree with all that's being said here, bitterly but still. There's not been advancement in this project of a game for a long, boring-ass time. Nearly $40k a month is preposterous at that point. There's a lot of us here talking about how we gave up supporting the guy at some point (I know I did) but look how that income is still growing! It's fucking amazing. I don't know what Redamz's end game is, but it's almost admirable how he found a such a way to riches. Almost.

Edit: little theory on why his Patreon income is still growing:
Porn games are still in the novelty stage, there are still no big AAA references nor publicity for them and most people have no idea such a thing even exists. This means an absolutely huge potential of people that have yet to lay their eyes on this novelty. And if by chance they would eventually bump into them, what would they look for? The best available product. And quite frankly Monster Girl Island holds up very well, there are available demos and they are good. When you don't know your h-gaming, it perfectly fits the bill.
It's just that these newcomers are still in their honeymoon phase, they have no idea it's been almost 3 years in the making with an ever-so-delaying scheme of scareseley distributed demos.

At the end of the day the only thing this impacts, the only consequence is the timeline that it takes for him to finish the game. Since most of the work isn't original but a patchwork and mix and match it's possible that he's going to run into problems that he can't overcome because what he needs either isn't out there or he refuses to hire people or pay for it.

So what you can take away from it is: don't pay money for something that might not ever be released. That's good advice for anything, H-game or not. Just wait and then buy it. It's not like he's suffering from a lack of funding atm. And it's not like he's forcing people to pay him either. Everything is pretty much on a voluntary basis.

I'm content with waiting and not being invested emotionally or otherwise in the final outcome in any way. It's no big deal. And checking in from time to time costs nothing.

I am not too emotionally invested in this game nor do I care about it very strongly, but I read anon777's posting, which was an interesting read. Thanks for your insights.

My 2 cents on the matter:

Edison also didn't invent the light bulb, he was just good at bringing it to the market successfully. If Redamz skills are to select assets and glue them together to something that is appealing as a game and market it successfully, than that is still something not anybody can do and have success.
Innovation can be defined as "Invention brought to the market successfully" (It's quite common that it is something not invented yourself. You just need to legally obtain the right to use it; see many examples at Microsoft, Google or Apple)

Of course someone claiming he is creating assets himself, when he is not, also rubs me the wrong way.

About him slowing down: From a capitalistic point of view that is logical behavior. He gets almost 40k per month and if he finishes the game he runs the risk of not gaining the same amount per month with the next project. So he tested what would happen if he artifically delayed his progress (offer vs. demand). That's not illegal, just morally questionable. As it turns out the money keeps flowing in. So the capitalistic reaction is to try how much you can slow down your progress until it impacts your income. After all, when you are personally in this once-in-a-life-time situation of getting and having a lot of money most ppl might get corrupted by it.

There is an answer to this: Cutting the donations.

I recall Redamz posting a loooong time ago on Patreon that he was pulling models (housing used in current build) from the unity store or site, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least that he bought cheap assets and stole others

Look I get you guys don't like the dev, but as for me, I think the game is good, despite shitty development progress. It's lewd and has good anims and upcoming voice acting, with monster girls, so can we go back to just talking about the game instead of this constant storm of vitriol? Literally nobody worth telling all of your complaints to browses these threads so it does nothing but clutter the thread.

yeah. The new build features the snow lady. I really don't know what this guy is doing, He said in december that demo 2 (or its substitution) was going to be out "soon". Yet here we are, 5 months later and he's only now released something, and it isn't what he said lol

Maybe someone that still is a patreon, even if the dev is just milking the crap out of patreon to not do anything in his life, can post it here.
