Can't use saves from v0.5. Do i need to start a new save?
I had to use a save from a couple decisions before the end. I save often (in case I don't like the outcome from a decision), so I didn't have to go back far. I have a feeling that a couple renders/lines changed at the end of .5, and that voided the save files.

I played from beginning again(3rd or fourth time) but I didn't notice any major change in anything.

I just meant that 1 or 2 frames at the end may have been swapped out, and that possibly could have caused the conflict, since it was saving to a render that no longer existed. It could have been changed to a higher quality one, or been taken out. Just a very minor change can cause errors such as this. My save was earlier in the same scene, so i know it was very minor and at the end. :)

For real. And if you could pin nodes or surfaces together the animation tools would actually be very good for types of simple fuck scenes most devs are doing here. But as it is, even holding a characters waist through a full penetration motion cause all kinds of clipping problems. A real shame because Iray is fucking beautiful.
It's probably the weakest part about Daz3D after the lack of collision detection: even when you attempt to lock/pin a part of the body in place, moving a different part will often pull out the lock/pin.

I did find this suggestion laborious but it actually helped to find out where I should be pinning things down to minimize problems:

In the Scenetab expand the G3 figures to show all the bones. You will see there are several extra bones in the armateur, and some of them are meant for specific types of movement. This is likely why these figures don't work as expected with the pinning function. I suggest using the scene tab with the figure fully expanded like above to find the specific bone you want to pin and select it there. Then try pinning it to see if it will work. Also make sure you are using the pinning option you need, as there are two or three of them. Right click on the Pin icon next to the bone you have selected in the scene to see the different options available.

That said, I have tried using Animate2 (when Aniblocks have been available to start with) , or BVH imports with KeyMate + GraphMate (for which I had highest hopes, but cutting and pasting on their timelines has not consistently worked as advertised or expected.) Again, even Poser can do this stuff easier out-of-the-box.

So, seeing more solid animation in Melody has impressed me - that's something DMD has taken awhile to accomplish.

OCD gets the better of me, and I'd have to redo it as well, lol. I can overlook others mistakes, but not my own. :p
Such a shame that the collision detection in Daz is so lackluster, because the quality of skeletons and mesh is soooo good.
And as complete beginners we actually found it easy to learn to use. Of course we're still learning the finer points of shaders and surfaces, but even then it's fairly easy to explore.

Anyone know when there will be a next update? I hope before 2019.
As we know, updates are every 2 months of 3 ... so there were 2 updates in September & October, now it's DMD's turn and if everything will be on time, v0.0.7 of Melody should be our late Christmas present between 26-28 of December ;) so I wish Merry Christmas to us :)
