Besides his great marketing skills there I do not have any good explanation about it.
Compared to MatM, the new game gets quite a lot of updates + the regular "I don't like this look how cool it is after I made it transparent"

I think ultimately people are here to see porn. They have a very talented 3d artist who does produce good 3d hentai. As long as they keep teasing quality porn - even if there are no game releases - many people who are desperate to see more teases and interact with the content producers will pay. It's basically the entire principal behind OnlyFans and premium snap.

Compared to MatM, anything that's not vaporware is getting a lot of updates. The number one complaint of Pure Onyx is the lack of content and slow speed of development. Just take a loot at the reviews. I have no hope that Eromancer is going to finish anything. They should just drop all pretense of making a game and just do a comic or something. yeah i played that shortly after and that wasn't any better. the animations were nicer and at least the devs realised that they're making a hentai game, but damn does it still really fail to check any borders of funThen maybe go try out their other demo, Pure Onyx. Hey, I just finished the game and didn't encountered the "human with a mask" ennemy, he's not in the game?
Which version have you played? There is few of them. In version 0.03 you are playing on the street and there you are fighting humans, leeches and robot. In version 0.0511 you are infiltrating underground base and you face robots, leeches, wasps, carnivourus plants, and in the last scene (a lift) humans (I don't remember, I've played it some time ago).
EDIT:
Ok, I've checked, in the lift only Ven appears, no other humans. So probably you have played 0.0511. Try to download 0.03.
