I wonder if anyone noticed it's been 4 months now since the last update, and we're only at the start of development cycle for Loser. Guess not, so that's a nice job on conditioning your players, Baal.

Of course we noticed, the dev let us know ahead of time. Since Loser had an extended cycle this time around to deal with issues that came up with that update, he gave his other game, Superpowered 2, an extended cycle as well.

There are criticisms you can make of the dev, but that isn't one of them. He works consistently and he is much better than the average amateur porn game dev at communicating what is going on with the development of his games.

But I guess the trendy thing to do these days on the forum is claim that devs are "milking" their patreons. There are certainly some devs that fit that description, but I think I have seen criticisms the dev is "milking" their patreons on pretty much every thread for a game that has been in development for a year or more.

Gonna second this. Baal has consistently released high quality and good content updates. The game mechanics aren't for everyone, but this is one of my favorites that I consistently come back to. You may want the updates faster (who wouldn't), but Baal is one dude and there is only so much bandwidth a single person has. I look at the dev cycle of 2 months per game as an "intention" rather than a set in stone rule. It's ready when it's ready and he never bullshits anyone.

He is active on discord, livestreams development and is very interactive with his fans. Pretty fuckin' good in my book. Also, the game continues to get better (one of the best - my opinion). Did I mention Diane?... Hottest, Mom, Ever...

I will concede some people like it. Maybe do a poll on it to see how the numbers goes but imo most people dont like to grind VN. If i wana grind i play mmo

For me is comforting to see there are still some developers that are looking to make a game not only for money. This is the reason of such inflation of crappy stuff on Patreon and here. Most of these, so called developers, are looking for some easy cash and nothing else. And of course this is the reason there are so many "milkings" and abandoned projects....

Yea, thinking about it 4 months still wasn't a cause for concern or impatience a few years back when most RenPy VNs would take 6 to 7 months at most. Now we're looking at a whole lot of them taking a year or longer for each update and those are just for RenPy.

Didn't even register the first time I read that post. Then again, I've resigned myself to the conclusion that I'll stop playing all those RenPy games with elongated dev cycles before they even finish. (Not really out of contempt for the dev but just a gradual decline into pure indifference.) So that played a factor as well.

I'm a noob in C# but I modified your mod to try something. I didn't change anything in your code (and reused your Mods class) but instead of modifying the assembly.dll, I used

to inject code at game launch. This way, the mod will be much more compatible with future versions because no original code will be changed.

The whole content of the CheatMod.zip must be unzip where Loser.exe is. Maybe it won't work with other OS than Windows.

Cheatmod + AutoTranslator
By default, the Cheatmod doesn't work with AutoTranslator so I made a version which merge both of them.

The installation is the same as for the classic CheatMod. Unzip the content of the zip in the main Loser folder (where Loser.exe is located). If you already used an AutoTranslator previously, you need to install my merged version on a fresh new install of Loser.

1/ Configure your language
a) Open the file BepInEx/config/AutoTranslatorConfig.ini
b) Change the line:

2/ (optional) Preload translation texts
The translation can take some time as it's generated on the fly. So if you already used a similar tool previously, you can reuse your old translated file.
a) Find your old file named _AutoGeneratedTranslations.txt
b) Run once Loser
c) Copy your old file to the new Loser installl in <Loser folder>/BepInEx/Translation/<Language>/Text

Note you can access AutoTranslator preferences by pressing Alt + 0 ingame.

2/ It doesn't work if there are special or accented characters in directory name. For example, if you use:
C:\My pörn games\Loser_v0.09.02_PC64x (accented character: ö)

You'll have to remove or change this character to make it work

At start of the game no one actually wants to f*ck with MC. Really. So whole game is about changing characters to your liking with conversations and events. And there is no shortcuts to good stuff. Author want you to earn your fun.
BTW did you looked at manual? It is informative enough to start explorin` the game.
