Oh man - I am paralyzed by uncertainty and definitely want your guys feedback here lol.

Chika pops the "Who do you want in a threesome?" choice and I gotta say, the Yumi option feels kind of like...yannow, the one to grab but there's a couple other options that feel like they could pan out somewhere interesting? Is there a "better choice than others" story wise or is this just purely "Which fantasy you got bro?" fodder?
afaik Ayane is the only one that leads anywhere right now. I chose Yumi myself, cause well... its Yumi.

Oh is this something that hasn't fully resolved yet with the current versions beyond one choice?
well, I can't imagine that Akira won't nail Yumi at some point, and once that happens then Chika is gonna be screaming "Meats back on the menu boyz!" the moment she realizes that she can have a threesome with her best friend, and her sensei.

Yeah - I was torn between the Yumi and Rin choices personally. Tsubasa was hilarious no doubt but that's just...lul. And Ayane just felt like a kind of easy but weird "freebie" option.

Yumi probably the top choice but Rin is honestly...yeah that's hard to decline too. DAMMIT SELEBUS. Then all the Niki dialogue after...oh boy Chika's gonna explode when she finds out lmao.

You know, i got wondering, if Sekai didn't die, what are the chances she might've egged Akira on to do things with Ami? She was 7, so it'd be later than i'd expect things to start if that's what she wanted, she had the hots for Akira when he was a baby and had planned to molest him all along, but i dunno, despite her love for her daughter she was an incredibly sick and evil person so if she even remotely liked the idea i have no doubt she'd have gone down that path... Ami did try to take care of Akira with sex when she first started living with him, but he was too comatose to accept her 'offer', at least if i read that one scene properly...
If Ami’s feeling still “organically” developed in absence of Sekai's death, then yea I can see Sekai encouraging a continuation of her own predatory and incestuous behaviors. The two people she loves the most love each other in the most forbidden form she so zealously preached? Excellent.

As for that scene of attempting to take care of Akira with sex, I’ve always felt that Ami going directly to offering sex is because she might’ve seen it when Sekai and Akira were at it. By associating how they visually loved each other with how devoid of happiness Akira was after Sekai’s death, she might’ve offered herself by trying to replicate what she thought she knew that can be of help just like the redhead before her, without necessarily understanding what it meant.

Mostly my last (poorly written) post was just somewhat baseless speculation that before she died Sekai might have had some knowledge about whatever is going on with the world.
It’s honestly quite possible. Not only because there apparently is an afterlife for Sekai to suspiciously "have things to do" in the never-ending pool of darkness, but also because the other alternative to interpret her finally believing in god toward the end as "Sekai became a firm believer of some mainstream religions before passing away" is just so laaaame when we already have a shit ton of weird ass divine beings hanging around constantly.

Also just replayed "Il Cervo" Kaori event. I did not notice the first time because of the deep fried image, but at the end of the event it is Sekai talking through Kaori (red eyes). With that in mind and the context of the Gabriele D Annunzio poem "Il Cervo" and the previous dear parts story. the event starts to make a lot more sense.

A rough outline of the last part of the event.(formatting might suck sorry)

-After Ami says she would like to bring the moon back Sekai starts talking through Kaori (and Ami is able to hear her).
-She then talks a bit about the nature of the world. (Im not sure yet what she means by "I have always been a dear". If she is referring to the themes of the poem or the previous dear parts story basically).
-Then she says "But together, we make the perfect nuclear family".(You could possibly take that as confirmation from Sekai of the Ami is Akira's daughter theory).
-"Together we are Il Cervo."(Referring to the poem probably. It would fit somewhat as a metaphor for Akira's current relationship with Sekai. The themes of the poem summarised are basically: hunter and dear, predator and prey, pursuit and desire, memory and melancholy, futility.)

Anyway make of that what you will. I'm still thinning about it in the context of the rest of the event. (Sorry if someone already posted this I kind of skim read the last 20 or so pages of the thread and might have missed it.)

Does anyone remember if there is any information about the religion/god that Ami thinks Sekai believed in. Is it possible it might have not been a traditional religion we would think of and might have actually been something connected to all the strange stuff/god(s) we are familiar with in game.

I think Akira said at some point that Sekai did not believe in god? But was it just a line that said something like: Sekai, while not believing in them, still went along with Japanese religious traditions for Ami's sake. (I might be wrong, I don't really remember.) If he did say something like that It does still leave room for her to have believed in or known something about whatever strange stuff is going on now.

We also know from the last update that whatever Yasu believes in was last referenced in text 200 years ago. I would not be surprised if Sekai somehow knew something about this as well.
Ami claims Sekai pretended to be religious around her because it was the "right" thing to do:

But Sekai never actually believed in god.

Sekai seemed to be an atheist who "knew Heaven was a joke" and joked about Angels eating hands and going to Hell:

Still, what stood out to me about that scene is that she actually thought to offer herself up... can't really imagine an ungroomed 7 year old even thinking of that, even if she was cleaning up his cum, she shouldn't have really understood wtf it was he was doing, just some weird thing he seemed to need to do.
Well, even being around that kind of environment is probably enough to groom someone. Sensei was probably also watching porn and stuff.

It's also not like there's an actual age required to learn about sex. (I already knew a little at like 5 if I recall correctly)

6/7 year old Noriko was apparently talking about blowjobs with other girls at school:

So, I wouldn't be surprised if Ami already had an idea of what might make Sensei "happier".

Still, it seemed to just be a misunderstanding on her part:

Sorry, you're not allowed to act like a decent human being in this game.
Decent? I wanted to call her to make fun of the fact that she neither can get her class to end the school-year nor end her life.

It would have been hilarious when she would get how those things are connected.

There's a lot last update that I'm kind of saving for later, but the Kaori "deer" stuff was in reference to Ami's story about having deer parts inside and being different than others.

"Il Cervo" also translates to "The Deer".

Basically, Ami's story seemed to be referring to how some people function differently than others, and those people are treated like they have something inhuman in them and that they need to be fixed by having it removed. Kaori and Ami have virtually always been different than others (same with Sekai and Sensei). Kaori also seems to have parts of others (possibly Sekai's organs) in her.

"Il Cervo" and what Kaori seemed to be saying is that they are all "deer". All of them are different, and all of them are prey, being stalked and admired by their hunter. (May also simply be saying they are all a singular deer as in parts of a whole) Together they are perfectly "normal" (nuclear).

"We are helpless and full of beauty" - The Deer/Il Cervo.

At least, that's my take at the moment.

So I am playing catch up from years ago. I remember loving this game doing all the decoding by hand, all the freaking amazing lore, and just speculating on just about everything. I stopped around slightly after Yasu was introduced. I am reaching the point where I fell off before and I happen to recall and am experiencing again a severe lack of Maya, as she is my favorite and objectively best and most interesting character. I look at the new hints mod and see she still only has 20 scenes 12 of them I have reached at this point. I understand her underutilization due to her ties to the main plot and point being made that you are now supposed to get more info out of Noriko and Niki, but come on... Futaba has fucking 27 fucking events by comparison...

I reach out to my fellow Maya fans, will I be eating good soon, or should I brace for disappointment due to lack of content?

It's also really weird to me that there are 6 chapters but I am more than halfway through all the scenes. Are the locked chapters not done or are following chapters just filled a lot less? OR is it because I am sort of min maxing with hints and the game expected me to waste time? I guess I should also not the mod seems to only be up to date to the LAST patch, not the newest.

Fuck I missed this game. Its one of the few games I ever threw money at.
