talking about razzart I remembered that in games that to avoid/not to recommend I would put Happy Campers , bad story, bad characters and quite buggy, I remember that despite having chosen the female character in the sex scene I got the cg of the male character that was a bug since in the story the character was mentioned as a woman, taking that aside is still a bad game, not recommended.

also in fact all the "modern" darkher games are set in the same world of negligee, is one of the reasons why I dislike their games considering that the canon ending of negligee is the harem, I don't like to see the negligee characters sleeping with men all the time in the other "world" stories. the reality is that they did that to be able to recycle as many cgs as they can, since I imagine that the art which honestly is the only reason to play their games doesn't come cheap.

also I don't know if you saw the edit of the previous comment about the sono hanabira games, again they are not the best stories but they are "classics" of the yuri genre and have very good sexual scenes although I liked some of the stories and for me they are quite romantic.

I'll add Happy Campers to the games I will avoid, if I'm not mistaken there were at least 2 games from Razz I played that I liked (1 being Starlight Vega & the other was something in space), so I would have probably gone through all her games, since you say Wolf Tails & Love Ribbon are sweet as well.

How about the original Negligee, is that worth playing when ignoring the other games? (Also what is Spring Clean, from the description it sounds as if it's a literal continuation of the store thing with exclusively lesbian paths?)

I missed the Sono Hanariba thing, gotta check them out, not every story needs to be a milestone, sometimes a decent story with sweet turns and nice naughty parts is perfectly fine to take a break from real life. Quite romantic also is a big + in my book.

I recommend playing negligee with a guide because something about darkher games is that they require very precise decisions, so you don't waste your time taking out the "single ending" by mistae.

Sprint clean is the "sequel" of the original negligee, this one is not really worth it they didn't even bother to create a story (it's more like a kind of selling mini-game), and almost all the cgs are recycled. here is my complaint about the recycled nature of that game.

I read your post and looked at the screenshots, that is absolutely insane. Nevertheless I will give the original game a go & do as you advise. It's sad what Dharker seems to have turned to do after that game but that doesn't make the first game itself bad.

I hope you have a nice weekend & much thanks for all the advice & the discussion. If I happen to come across a game that I feel would fit here and you might like I definitely gonna write something here & link it (if it doesn't make it to F95 in the firstplace to begin with).

no problem, and as a last thing if you play negligee and you like it I think you could also play Galaxy Girls I think that was their last proper game and for me it has better sex scenes than negligee play it with a guide as it has the same problem of requiring very specific decisions to avoid getting the bad ending all the time.

Have a nice weekend.

Galaxy Girls I think that was their last proper game
It's a game .

_

Not on F95:
  • - protagonist gender choice; three GxG romance options: the angel branch has a blind cyborg ESP girl and an innocent angel girl, and the human branch has a passionate security guard girl. The human branch with the security girl has what seems to be an unavoidable scene where a guy friend you just saved kisses you out of the blue (everyone is shocked, he apologizes for being too impulsive and hides under a rock, you've already confessed to the girl by this point). For YMMV options, there's also a they/them mysterious masked bounty hunter. As an aside, the current February build contains a bonus CG only unlockable by launching this build (there's another locked CG that likely was available in one of previous builds).
  • - a lesbian protagonist and a lesbian alien goat girl, both voiced.
  • - you can play as an androgynous lesbian, befriend up to two fairy women and confess to one of them at the end (and if you manage to somehow get rejected you still get the default friendship ending).

Thanks to you, I think I'll try all of those. In regards to Chronicles and the security girl thing can the player decide how to deal with the guy who assaults (I'm being extremely harsh, I know, I wouldn't encourage others to be that unforgiving) the protagonist or does the game just decide that the protagonist is okay with it/goes on as if nothing happened?

I mentioned it as a possible deal-breaker for a men-free playthrough with that character (which would leave the angel branch love interests). I didn't check all choice permutations to confirm if it's a mandatory event.

If you're entertaining the idea of the kiss itself happening being acceptable depending on circumstances, personally I see it only as an emotional reaction after a life-threatening situation and arisen from a possible misunderstanding (depends on if the player intends to romance him later or not), and a story hook to reveal the character's feelings, as he interacts with the protagonist less than the other two humans do (or to add a bit more drama to the life of the human heroine, assuming it is unavoidable after all). A "leeeet's not bring this up again" would be a fitting reaction for the characters involved once the confusion and awkwardness clear if the feelings are not mutual, but it's soon before the end of what's currently in the human branch so I can't say if it'll play a role in the next episode.

More spoilers:

If you've played , it has a similar "awkward kiss" situation between "brothers in arms" except there the one stealing a kiss is a shy, altruistic female troll party member.

I mean for me personally that is not really excusable by anything, but, as I said, i wouldn't say it is the kindest of character traits how vindictive I'd feel about it. Depending on the game I wouldn't say violence is what I would want to be an option there but I would definitely be pissed if the game would force anymore interaction with him on the protagonist and if he returns I'd much like an option to be very unfriendly towards that character at least.

Since the game isn't finished yet from what it sounds like I might wait though (at least with that route) before playing it. That sort of stuff (just personally speaking of course) can leave quite a sour taste in my mouth and potentially ruin that route. Doesn't make the game bad or anything, of course.

I've never heard of CalFree in Chains, the game I remember having a similar scene is Guenevere (purely text based interactive fiction by Jean Townsend) and it was not...nice. Even though there it has a lot to do with the myth the game is based on, so it made sense, and the player has the freedom to react very negatively to it, as well as (according to the author) the option to have that be a permanent thing throughout the entire rest of the game, if desired so. (Not sure if it will ever get finished, to be fair).

Edit: The way I understand you though is that it's not 100% sure if that scene always goes down the same way & different choices might lead to different outcomes, so it isn't necessarily an unavoidable moment, correct?

One issue I've found is that a majority of female protagonist lesbian games are either little more than visual/kinetic novels where the player has little control over the story or they are really shallow in terms of gameplay and/or story

There are some really good ones, but those tend to be the exception, not the rule, and it gets tiring trying to wade through the low-quality content.

Maybe what this list needs are descriptions that describe the depth and quality of the games, and explains a little about the plot and gameplay, so people can immediately see the games that are worth downloading.

Yes, but if you're that averse to it it'd be better to ask the developers if that kiss is avoidable or dig into the code to see if there are other outcomes of it. Trying to confirm it on your own could be disheartening if you don't find a way to avoid the kiss.

Maybe what this list needs are descriptions that describe the depth and quality of the games, and explains a little about the plot and gameplay, so people can immediately see the games that are worth downloading.
Cboy also has the gay games list to maintain so it may be quite an undertaking (especially long-term), and in my opinion, with the amount of games on the list, a few preferably-easy-to-confirm tags like this (to keep it one line of text per title, and be CTRL+F searchable):
Imaginary Lesbians Game[Gameplay][Lots of sex][All ages][Fetish][Linear][Wholesome][Story rich][Token lesbian][Risk of Dick]
Imaginary Lesbians Game with an Exceptionally Long Title Making Things Harder[Short][Linear][Sad as fuck][Men Not Found]
Imaginary Rainbow Vomit Optional [All ages] [Fetish] [Pay for gay] [Sad ass fuck]
would be better in providing additional unbiased filtering options to the user without interfering too much with navigating and editing/fact-checking the list.
Example tags not necessarily reflecting the actual tagging demand (although I'd suggest that copying the game thread tags verbatim would be redundant, if in spirit of replacing the lesbian tag).

Or maybe an additional link to a good review or a post describing the game in more detail (in case you prefer recommendations to own research), likely user-provided and taking the lesbian/not-lesbian content ratio into account (a game may offer great heterosexual experience but hardly anything on the lesbian front):
Imaginary Lesbians Game
Imaginary Game Strikes Back
Return of the Imaginary Game
The Last Imaginary Game
Colorblind Lesbians Version That's Also Searchable
Or to a guide how to avoid surprise penis in games with straight/bi content, as lesbian-only playthroughs are the focus here, and with some games it can be tricky:
Imaginary Straight Game with a Token Lesbian
In both cases with minimal interference to the list, likely filtering out some "technically valid but that's not what I'm here for" titles with bare minimum gay, and with "click for more info" for those who desire it.

Autopilot vs. gameplay-heavy, and meaningful choices vs. an illusion thereof, are a preference and not an issue or quality determinant (especially for porn/romance consumers, it would seem).

I was thinking something similar to what is on the Femdom Finder list, but the ideas you offer may work as well

Hi everyone,

I'm a new developer and just released the first version of my game, Yuri University, yesterday.

This is my first post here so I gather I can't post links yet, but since it perfectly fits into the theme of this thread, I thought I'd put the name here and tell you a little about it.

Over a year ago, I was struggling to find a female protaganist game with a strong focus on lesbian content, so I decided to try making one myself! Yuri University is set in a British uni, here's the pitch:

I've posted download links on various lewdgaming subreddits, and they're available to everyone for free on my patreon page, which has the same name as my profile. When I have enough posts I'll put a link here too.

Thanks for checking it out!

Good luck to you! Defintiely gotta check your game once it makes it to F95. I like the idea, generally speaking, even though the type of game (with these assets & type of models) isn't usually my thing. From the picture you show us here I think I like the models, though, with the exception of what I assume is the protagonist. Especially the 2nd lady from the right, as well as the redhead beside her, to me look kinda unique.

Thank you! I know of course my game won't be to everyone's taste (no game can be), so I appreciate you looking all the same. Between the protaganist, the 5 main characters and numerous side characters, I've tried to include enough variety that there's someone for everyone.

If you (or anyone else) are interested, I've included some character images that briefly describe the main characters, an image of the side characters, and a couple more screenshots.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

I'll have to look in to how to post my game here (assuming no-one else does first!). Thanks again!

I do agree there is some nice variety (at least in theory, obviously that sort of thing only really shines through when translated into the game by making the characters act accordingly) when it comes to the side characters. From the description I think I can tell that Scarlett will probably be my favorite character & I find her design unique enough (for these type of games) that her alone might motivate me to not only give the game a go but to maybe play "her route" (read as: focus on just her, especially in case there is some romance content as well).

Just, from looking at what you show us, I have to admit I really am not a fan of the protagonists model. Not to the point where it would make me not curious about your game, so by all means don't take this as me pushing you to change anything about her, but I'd have to lie were I to tell you that it doesn't matter to me at all.
I really find the "wallflower with glasses that dresses terribly & is starting to explore her sexuality" trope extremely old and also never liked it to begin with. IF you decide to make it so that the protagonist can change her looks (clothing, hair, glasses/lenses etc.) it would be cool, but it is by no means a requirement for a good game. I also don't think it should be a main focus (I can't really tell how much effort it takes to do the visuals) probably, unless you are at a point where you could easily change the protagonists model, while doing it later would mean that you already did many renders and since for her current looks and changing it would require to re-do all these.

I would have loved to have had character customisation! Unfortunately with my setup, all the images and animations are pre-rendered, so the only way I could think to do it was to record each scene multiple times with each outfit, which would have at least doubled the file size and dev time, if not more, so I gave up on that quickly. Maybe when I'm more experienced I'll figure out a better way.

I'm afraid it's far too late in the process to change any main character's visuals - I've got over 5,000 images and 800 animations rendered. Like I said, it's not going to be for everyone, and unlike any of the other characters you can't really ignore the player character. If you want to try it out that'd be great, if not that's okay too!

Get the third post. Follow this guide to post the game. Open ticket asking for a developer badge (General Support; say you're a dev, link to your Patreon, etc.). If someone already posted your game, use the same ticket type to request thread ownership.
And this is my third post! Thank you for this, I'll get started.

I fully understand that, as I said despite me not being a fan of the protagonists design it's not horrible or anything. If the game itself is good that's far more important.

Thank you for taking the time to explain why there won't be changes to the protagonist's visuals. Also might I say that I think it's better to stick with what you got than to change it midway, I'm sure that would be more annoying to a far greater number of people.
