Hey, I got stuck in Claire's house.
I couldn't move the door (when I entered some NPC was leaving).
In order to bypass it I had to drag Claire in front of me.
Maybe you missed some trigger or something?

Anyway, I'll keep playing and later I'll comment on the rest of the game as well

Ps: the first time I got stuck (quest for Faith).
When Clive told me to see her, the door opens as it does to NPCs

Okay, got to the point of swordplay with Uncle and got the end of content message.

Overall, I like the idea of your game.
It is a similar to a project of mine that includes more gameplay loops to a porn game, not just the default VN dialogue skipping/making choices.

Some thoughts:
-As already mentioned, some way to change from mouse to keyboard would be good. Specially depending on the way you intend to implement combat in this game. Keyboard could help with hit detection if you're not going for something like tab targeting.
-Overall UI and save system in this build was good. Feels like a solid base. Though, while not a problem, the quest frame also appears in the loading screen. I believe it not to be intended. I think it would be best to disable it in loading screen.
-The option to change the name would be appreciated. It is also cool that you think about the possibility of swapping the MC model. I'd suggest to not invest too much time in this feature right now, as it is a time-consuming, or rather devouring one. Just something I wish someone would have told me when I tried it the first time :LUL:
- When you enable interaction that depends on items, I would suggest adding another event that tells the player it didn't equip the item. It is a minor thing, yes, but it is a bit confusing to hover and see the interaction, just to click and nothing to happen. You have some options: 1) When the player hovers (tree, fence, etc) but does not have the item equipped, show the same icon you do now, but with a red X or something. 2) no longer require equipping the item. Having it in the inventory would suffice. 3 ) providing some other form of feedback when the player hover and clicks. I usually use some debug text log or some floating pop up that spawns and gets destroyed a few milliseconds later.

-Some problems:
-As in a previous post, the first time we're sent to Claire's house to ask her to teach Faith, the door was not interactable. Only pushing Claire to the door opened it, happily avoiding a gamebreaking bug.
-In the dialogue with the 'kinda nord' lady, the one from the lake with... Edlyn I guess? When you go to her house to ask about the vial, all name tags are yours (when she speaks the tag it still the MC, not her name).

As I said before, I liked the concept of your game. Of course there is not much yet, but I believe you may be heading in a good direction. Also, ofc, as soon as it starts to have some sort of action for the MC the better, even if in small doses.
I hope we stay out of the loser MC stereotype - but then this is just my wishful thinking. That would ruin it for me, but, well, to each their own.

Name tags on characters would make it much easier to get around in the game .I stumbled through the quests ,but managed to finish them .
I am looking forward to trying the next update

Thanks for the feedback. Do you mean name tags hovering on top of the characters?

I added a marker so if you need to speak to a character during a quest, its easy to find where to go, as normal rpgs work.

The next update is taking quite sometime as the scenens that I need to render are a bit complicated (landscapes and dark, indoor scenes), but sadly it will only be 3 new quests.

After these quests, the intro part of the game will be over and the next stage, the one that involves the base building, will begin.

Camera angle sucks I want to to move camera lower so I can see more in front of my avatar. Why the hell is camera movement locked to being overhead?

Bad:
1. Camera angle too high so hard to see far enough to see the marker without zooming way damn out
2. Can't roll back speech
3. Quest Tracker is broken! When it's time to return the damn markers are missing!
4. Save is fucking broken. Tried to save at a question and the quest over fucked up!
5. Restart is broken it continues you where you left off. You have to go to save location and delete files
6. Sleep is broken. It puts you in a super fast time fast forward that goes days in a matter of seconds and than breaks time completely

Right now with these bugs I call this totally unplayable .

6. Sleep just advances 6 hours in game time.

Just asking to lower it more so can look further ahead. It feels bad because to see where the quest tracker is I have to
zoom out to the point the characters are damn small!

Than add a history/log because it's easy to double click than I just missed a critical piece of the data/story!

It was one of the very first quests. You have to return to your father but the tracker is not taking you back to him. Also
with the girl at the stand it's hard to find her because you have no name and the tracker marker is not there to take
you back to her. The tracker is there to start the quest but no report back to the quest giver.


4. Disclaimer is on the main thread.
Not clear when it says save not fully implemented that typically means you have very few slots but not that it breaks
quests if you are saving before the quests. Need to be more clear on problem with saves.

This update has taken, and still is, more time than expected.
I have just released one update with not so much new content, but only 1 mission with 62 renders.

I had found an artist that was going to deliver good renders, but unfortunately due personal reasons he has not been able to deliver any work.

This only means that I have to keep working on the visual side myself, and that just takes longer to get right.

This new update has:

- 1 new mission with 60 renders.
- Reworked the interaction with buildings. Now they will not be affected by NPCs.
- Changes in the UI, in particular the health display.
- Added fast travel points. Now you can fast-travel between the settlement and the Trade Guild.
- Decreased the angle of the camera so the point of view can be closer to the ground.
- Removed the Sleep function.

Fixed:

- The mission Welcome Home was not being triggered correctly.
- The Quest UI was showing during the loading screen.
- A dialogue between MC and NPC during the mission Pain Herbs was not displaying the NPC name.

In this new release, I'm including a file with the latest save.

If you wish to experience only the new content, copy both files inside the following directory:

C:\Users\"Insert your pc user name"\AppData\LocalLow\Grumpy\Kingdom Sagas

You are not missing something. I do have this situation where between one mission and another, there might no markers.

In this case, the next mission becomes available in the morning, so just need time to pass and a marker will appear.

I will look at having some notification system to hint on the next steps.

you say that the next mission becomes available in the morning but no matter how long I wait nothing appears so I think it must be a bug.

You need to speak to the blacksmith to get the next mission.

Ok I see whats happening. For some reason the NPC is getting stuck inside the house. I will have to llok at the navigation and find out why its not calculating the patch correctly.

The Blacksmith stands in front of the house, but at night time it goes into the house. If you go insinde and zoom in, you will be able to find him.

I found him, he was just inside the front door in the corner trying to walk through the wall
