Pardon me, but LOP releases a game by 3 months and alaways delay their games...not to mention they refuse to go on patreon (far as i know). Thats how ppl lost interest in them.
The thing is that makes my point, not yours.

Why Patreon? I missed the part where Patreon was a certificate of great quality and timely delivery. Are they to be blamed because they prefer to create a full-lenght game instead of a demo plus "stay tuned for more content next month"? Are they to be blamed because they aren't using RPG maker or Ren'Py and instead used technology plus scripts that made it much harder to add content on the fly?
Are we some kind of masochist gamers?

Now comes the million dollar questions/requests:
1. Point me one Patreon creator that deliveres a full-lenght game in 3 months.
2. Point me one Patreon creator that delivered 35 full-lenght games in the past 7 years, leaving aside expansions and douzaines of free games, some of them having the lenght of a 0.5 version Patreon games around here.

Don't even make me start talking about the overall quality of their games compared to others in terms of graphics, animations and dialogue. Their only sin is their lack of main stream fetishes. Recent games pretty much have a seal of... decency, at least.
Oh, yeah, and their subscription vs owning the game is total bullshit.

The subscription is more of an anti-piracy thing I think, for instance we still don't have jacob's expansion bc I don't think anyone would renew their subscription to just to get that game at the end of the month, but it also takes away interest of having one because of the price when the game eventually is pirated.
If they were on patreon it should be something more like akabur does(tip-jar), and patreons maybe would get links to play online. I don't think patreon and their actual system fits the bill, they should do something else what that is I have no idea. I mean this in terms of popularity, because if it wasn't working financially I think they'd have already changed their ways.

Only games that have good quality are Eleanor 1 + expansion and LWT 1.....
Im not saying that is a must to go on patreon, but i think thats a factor why LOP isnt anymore so popular...Patreon is a form of marketing...games are promoted better there.

I seriously LOLed at that. I must admit their subscription system is that bad. If it wasn't, I wouldn't have been dragging my ass on here every couple of hours or so.
And it's not like Leo isn't aware this is a serious issue for many.

Yeah Leo knows all about these stuff, he just doesn't give a fuck I guess. If I'm not mistaken LOP isn't his primary source of outcome and of some writers there anyway.
Edit: If I remember right Mysterious Island also took months for people to share at the time, and now with the Unity thing new games will take an even longer time for people to share, i.e Bounty Hunter is still the bugged version.

I'm more of the opinion that LOP have not listened to their fans. Now they are playing catchup, just read the blog. In the past any announcement of LwT or ELE would fill the page with 200+ comments in a couple of days. Now it's 40 in a week. And they hate criticism, posters get flak from Leo or banned for criticising too much. Eleanor, Serena, LWT, STT and Tori 500 all making comebacks or expansions in the very near future. They had such massive hits with ELE,LWT and LWS but they insisted on churning out games the majority of subscribers didn't want and their fanbase eroded to move to Patreon where basically not only one can find more or less exactly what one is looking for but with the right amount of patronage can direct the dev to a storyline. That is impossible with LOP. At the time I was on a $10 monthly sub but I got 2 games max I would want to replay again and again. The episodical Eleanor 2 was a fiasco. I once offered Leo to do a commissioned game but he declined. It was in line with what they've always done so it seems they are set in their own approach. And the writing apart from Iksanabot who's excellent and Rahvin who peaks interest is uninspiring. Daman seems halfway there but none of his scripts are very exciting, without the excellent graphics his games would be quite dull. I used to prefer LOP than actual porn, but not these days. The fact that as many have mentioned here their latest release is taking so long to get to F95 is testament to their state of affairs. I got to F95 for LWT2 which was posted here 3 hours after its release, and I still had a sub to LOPGOLD. The gamers do not really care about LOP anymore, just a bunch of diehard fans and a few sycophants on their blog page. I am actually very sad about this because they make the best CG in the business and IMO LWT 1 and 2(too short) with ELE 1 are the best ever adult games I have ever played. I do hope they turn it around, and they can, even in vanilla, if they just listen to their fans and deliver what the subs want, at close and regular intervals. Sorry for the long rant. I DID really like their games, but not anymore.

Long time fan of Leonizer and LOP games here, there are several things to keep in mind about their business model, the good part:

-They were here long time before the Patreon gold fever with porn games
-They have an unique style
-They have a bunch of completed games
-Their work faster than any Patreon leech
-They have been delivering free games too since the beginning

The bad:
-The subscription model is out of date, when almost everyone is on Patreon.
-Their games aren't the longest
-They only touch vanilla fetishes since some time ago, when their fanbase would love to see some darker stuff, see how popular Eleanor was and how bad Eleanor 2 was received.

I don't think that's completely true though, LWT2, Ele2 and LWS Exp were made because of the fans. The thing is those games except LWS kinda sucked, then came CVR, the vanilla game was pretty bland and that Lily In hawaii BS. If I remember right Jacob came around that time as well to calm the waters bc there were a lot of people requesting different models and interracial stuff. They do listen, just not on business decisions and fetishes that aren't in line with the game(Eleanor 2 gangbang which sucked was bc of requests, so there you go).
In my opinion their popularity decreased because the sequels sucked, in comparison to the originals, and took too long partially because people wanted them to shift back to V4 mid-development to be made, then the other LOP games were kinda weak. Also if they just listened to their fans Seducing the Throne(their best game, imo) wouldn't even be made.
IMO this is just a bad phase for them, S&G released good games in this phase and LOP free games were okay, so here is hoping they get their shit together.
And they hate criticism, posters get flak from Leo or banned for criticising too much
I never saw that, he just banned people who'd go on every post and demand fetishes, say the games were shit bc of the premise or for not having such fetishes. So I can understand that. Also I enjoy that they don't follow their members blindly, gives them room to do some new stuff like STT, Sensual Haunting and 13 rooms. Sometimes they hit it sometimes don't for instance Lily in Hawaii, Ele2 and CVR(vanilla).
EDIT: Sorry about the long reply. I like their games a lot as well.

I think they could release some of their older games as free games(like Chaotic does).
I just don't see a way for them to work with patreon, maybe going per update for individual projects funding with some tiers getting a download of the game and having a separate monthly site funding to work as a subscription.
Maybe something like you donate x you get access to y games, or you donate x this month and z the next month so you get full access the next month(can patreon do stuff like that?). Cause this is the only way I see them using a crowd funding.

EDIT: Well I rambled too much about this, now just gonna wait for the game.

Visibility, most of the weg scene is on Patreon now, where devs follow each others and users can jump from one dev to other easely. It'd be just marketing, they can share free stuff with the low tier patrons and keep a higher tier for the LopGold stuff.

Oh of course(i'm an idiot), they could use just one tier to use as subscription because I remember Leo was pretty adamant on having completely free games, maybe share calendar with a low tier. This way they could go on patreon, not change anything and get more visibility.

One of the problems with LOP is that they give you the same game over and over again. There isn't much variety or believe-ability. I understand incest and NTR isn't for everyone but it is for others. Leo and his team are so stuck in their ways that they forget that variety is the name of the game. They refuse to listen to criticism from people that are paying them and just continue to drive people away. They have quality down but they still refuse to venture into the waters that most people on Patreon will go into. The LOP team always have these grand plans with their games. Currently they are working on a Western game in the same vein as Noble Hero. Why would I want to pay for a game that is basically going to be like one that you already made? Same goes for the "expansion" for Jacob's. Why would I pay for a minor scene addition for a game that is just so formulaic and boring?

If I were them I would map out the calendar the way Marvel did their movies. Release one in the winter/spring months, one in the spring/summer months, and one in the summer/fall months. Listen to the fans when they express interest in certain fetishes. And most importantly be upfront about release dates. I get that problems occur but it seems that with LOP they have problems anytime a game gets released. This is one of the reasons I prefer they Patreon method of monthly payments = monthly updates. Like in the case of "Dating my Daughter". MrDots does a great job with telling fans when to expect an update, follows through with those set dates, and provides a decent amount of content per update. It's a slow burn but the pay off is a better, more compelling story. I wish Leo would try something similar. This could possibly alleviate all the rendering problems they keep having while also maintaining interest in their games. And if the problems are such a big deal, don't use the Unity engine. It sucks but it's just driving more people away.
