I never noticed the change but I saw the notification about the backlash and thought thats hilarious. And then I went to go check to see if there was actually a thread on here with a bunch of pissed peeps. And there is, and its absolutely hilarious.
Edit: Also I miss the background pics. I only knew the Bowsersette one but was a cool feature, even if only used for a prank.

I know a lot of people who do weird stuff, nobody is normal, there's no such thing as normal. There are different levels of furry, from people who play furry games to furry extremists. IRL furry is another form of cosplay, they go and do their furry thing, have furry parties and conventions. Why should I care? Civil War reenactors dress up and go out on the battlefield, fantasizing about different outcomes of history. Girl Scouts get dressed up and go out selling cookies.
I actually think some people are jealous, sitting behind their computers, while girl scouts, and furries, and civil war reenactors have lives in the real world. They're out there living it up, getting merit badges, collecting old musket balls and arrowheads, having orgies, and getting laid.
There are people out there playing "second-life" no offense if you're a second-lifer.... holy crap. Here's a pic of a typical second-lifer's room.

For the record, it didn't look like that on my monitor. On my screen, two furry gals here hidden underneath the rest of the forum, so I didn't even notice what was cluttering the background between the forum columns and rows until others pointed them out in this thread. The monitor on my internet browsing laptop that I'm typing on now is only 1366x768, and I generally don't maximize the size of my windows, so as to make it easier to click things on my desktop as needed.
They are very cute though! And IMHO this whole April 1st thing was supposed to be just for fun anyways, and wasn't intended to become a bitchfest!
Personally, I like hand drawn artwork of female furries. I also like female CG or anime characters. We all have our kinks I suppose, and I'm not into penises, unless they are inserted into mouths or vaginas. For me it's all about the nekkid and scantily clad girls. Others like Futas, though, or gay porn, or males, which is perfectly fine or them.
I do think that a handful of people take some things to the extreme, though. I just want to point out that this is primarily a GAMING forum, and that people play games to have fun. There are other venues to take bitchfests to, and the moderators here like to keep things upbeat. I do get that some of the back and forth in the thread here was false indignation, which is why most of it hasn't been deleted, but yeah I really think ya'll should just relax and LIGHTEN UP!
I will say that converting all of my fanart to furry fanart would have been a major pain if F95ZONE changed it's focus, but I never felt at any time that there was a danger of that.
So go back to having fun playing games, and be thankful that this forum even exists for our adult games, adult comics, and adult art fetishes! Much thanks to @F95 and the rest of his team for providing this cool place for us to hang out!
