Apparently, no one cares considering the amount of pledges this guy has as long as it looks good people will pay for it this is so enigmatic of the problem with mainstream games as well.
I think people are desperate. They "hope" it becomes a great game and gumdrop plays on that card.

Also Patreon takes me 24€ every month... come on fucking noob 1€ = 1,2$, so 20$ + 4$ = less than 20€

While I'm sad to hear we may struggle to see future previews, I don't blame you for cancelling your pledge. The lacklustre update around christmas was kind of understandable due to celebrating the holidays and such but if this update doesn't smash the ball out of the park after 2 months of development, I can see a few people following your lead. I'm only in this for the daughter also so I'm not sure what this update will bring in that regard. Guys, any news about the next update? Honestly it's strannge that the progression bar is still stucked at +90% after one week ... why so slow?
Dunno ... at this point somebodies just saying that the dev will never release it or it's just milking the patreons.
Was thinking to subscribe to his patreon but... not with such an attitude....

Just have a look at his page, check when the older releases came out, and decide for yourself.
You should be aware that most of the whiners on F95zone never gave the authors a cent.

Most of us did pledge but realized it's not worth it with the slow progress and consecutive delay releases. I'm leeching now because I can no longer find an incentive on pouring money on an incompetent developer.

While it is a well known psychological fact that who willingly pays for something has then the tendency to be more lenient compared to who got it for free (to make it short: it comes from the human tendency of trying to convince ourselves that "I made the right decision and didn't waste my money", strictly related to the compulsion -called sunk cost fallacy- to insist with a bad choice because "I invested a lot in it already!"), this actually doesn't give any information, here.
Either the comments of the "whiners" are wrong and false -or even only too harsh, even if only partially- and then you can correct them where you think they are unfair, or they are right on spot, independently from how much they invested in the game.
Nonetheless, playing the game once and checking how much time the dev needed to reach this point is a good advice.

Indeed. Like Mark Twain allegedly said (well maybe not): "Its easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled."
That said, I still have high hopes for this game to succeed. The dev has IMHO a remarkable talent for writing, and the art is top notch.

Agree with you 100%. I can understand why people get angry when they don’t get what they want. Everyone here can agree they want to see the sexual fantasy come through. I’ve always looked at Patreon as a way to support a creator because you desire to see them flourish and do what they do best. People are acting like this stuff is easy and that creators have a huge obligation to fufill what supporters want rather than what the creator envisions. This game has some magic, and if I was well off, I’d support the guy too. I’m with you on the excitement for this game. This thread has way too many people demanding things that they think they’re entitled to. It’s good to see others like myself who want this game to flourish.

That's very idealistic and I agree that's how patreon should be, but I don't think that's how it really is. Those people pledging money make demands of the creator and if they're not met they pull their pledge. There is a lot of pressure on creators to cave to supporters if they want to make money. It sucks but it's the reality of it. We've seen the results of going down that route and it's almost always disastrous and produces an inferior product, but they do it anyway because like you, I think many devs are not well off either, they hope these games are their golden ticket, and in the end the lure of more money will usually win out over artistic integrity. Gumdrops seems to have the best of both worlds. He's got a lot of loyal pledgers and he's earned their pledge while telling his own story in his own way. I think your desire to see the game flourish will come to fruition because of that, regardless of what displeasure people may be voicing in this thread.
