Well... Claire's Quest is more of an open-world, exploration-type game, so that's actually done on purpose. Explore, talk to everyone, and you'll get hints and clues leading to scenes and quests. There have been a few calls for a walkthrough, so I might get around to that eventually. For now, though, I'm just doing a scene guide to let people know what scenes there are.

If you prefer a more linear approach, I also make another game called Sex Zombie, which is quite straightforward in terms of the storyline and finding scenes.
They're both fine games. I really do enjoy sex zombie, but claire's quest is honestly a game I am very anxiously waiting for most of all. I was supporting you for claire's quest up until the artwork got basically standstill and instead I was paying for sex zombie. I do like sex zombie but your open world and multiple choice of claire's quest is what I prefer. It's a believable corruption H game and it's very well done. When artwork is on track and moving steadily and scenes (dog walking scene especially :p ) get fleshed out and catch up to the game (eventually) I am definitely planning on supporting again.

I haven't played this game yet, (and I do want to try it), but for a dev that promises "no combat or grinding", the changelog sure seems to boast a significant amount of combat.

Also... this probably sounds dense, but what does the "all sex" tag mean? Every fetish is in it?

i would say wait some time cause there isnt a low of scenes/events and the first few hours are dead ends so lets say v1.2 or something

@ There really isn't any combat/grind in the game. There are monsters - sure - but they're not there for combat or to be grinded upon. They simply add an element of danger you need to use your wits to find a way past.

Claire's Quest is, in my opinion, one of the games with most potential I see on Patreon. It is well written with an engaging story and plenty of player choice.

However I am slightly put off by how far the artwork is behind the story. Even though the story is good, having blank screens once we get past a certain point makes me simply want to wait for the "complete" experience. It would be much better to add the artwork as you go along than to push the story further and further ahead. Is this purely a money problem? Are you paying individually for each artwork and need the pattern payments to cover it?

@Alleykatt The delay in artwork is primarily the result of... well, plain bad luck to be honest. Despite me wanting to keep the artwork consistent + high quality, I've had issues with disappearing artists, artists being too expensive, and artists who couldn't consistently draw with the same quality. I even had an artist get hit by a car, although thankfully he's made out of adamantium or something and recovered pretty damned fast.

I work on the game for free. The whole point of my Patreon was to use it to pay for resources I couldn't do myself, to improve the game. Since I could only write + game design, every other aspect, like artwork and programming, is paid for. The Patreon's monthly income basically lets me hire staff on a monthly basis. However, the artwork can never really catch up to me. In a month, I could probably do 4-5 scenes - and that's just me working on the weekends. The Patreon can only afford 2 sets of artwork per month, alongside other assets (although recently I hit a 1.5k goal, so I can get 3 sets per month now!)

So since I'm way faster than the artists, the story/game is always further ahead than the artwork, leading to many blackscreens. At one point, I asked patrons if they wanted me to just stop adding scenes and wait for the artwork to catch up, but the vote was in favor of pushing ahead with the story and letting the artwork take its time. Hence why I've continued to just keep adding blackscreen scenes.

I understand if you don't want to play text-only, but there's no real 'cut-off' since it's an open-ended game. I can't just tell you where the artwork stops. I do have a scene guide that tells you what has CG and what doesn't though.

The only guarantee I can give right now is that if you leave the Prologue, you'll run into blackscreen scenes, but the Prologue has all the artwork in place. Even custom music!

I actually tried the game. Creative use of monsters. I also love the main character. I think your game is one of the better ones I've encountered here. I mean, you've got enough discernible gameplay to along with a coherent narrative featuring a female protagonist who, so far, doesn't feel like someone you want to slap for being such a moron. You've got a leg up over 90% of the porn games out there! Keep it up!

I do have a couple of questions though...

How does lock-picking work? (Yeah, I'm not that far in... so maybe all my gushing is just beginner's bias, hihi!)

Will there be a female love interest?

Lockpicking is based off covering the basic "learn how to lockpick" requirement, and then fulfilling the Intrigue requirement. Different locked chests have different Intrigue requirements. You'll also need a lockpick, evidently.

Although, the one in Hookton appears to be bugged. I was just on my way to look at it.

And yes, there is going to be a female love interest. And a futa one. And a male one. And a monster one!

10/10 game for the first 30 mins and then becomes just not worth it to play as all the scenes become text only.
