Oh I remember these being bad ends, though if i remember correctly bad ending 10 the girl didnt die but rather got raped. The dev should atleast put a notice on the gallery cg even if the bad ending doesnt include the h-scenes next time..

Pretty fucked up game, but honestly way more bearable than the zookeeper stuff this dude did

This games a rough gem, if only it had a good english translation, because the stories great, and the guros wonderful. Unlike maggotbaits or euphoria, the gores really good. I'm looking forward to anything else this dev puts out.

That was my line of thinking when I first played this game. I mean yeah, it accidentally recreates the confusion of a language barrier like you said, but I definitely think the translation could be improved with a fluent proofreader of some kind.
When the throat singing kicks in during combat it definitely goes into "OH SHIT!" mode for me. Startled me at first but I got used to it. Haven't finished the game yet but I'll go back to playing it during the weekend.

That's good to know. Mainly because I was bummed when I read that post which said the Varangian Guard wouldn't show up. But since they don't show up until much later in Byzantine history then that's one point of historical accuracy for this game. I wouldn't be able to tell you how historically accurate this game is since my interest in history is casual, but I do like reading/watching/playing historical fiction like Vinland Saga, Golden Kamuy, Age of Ashes or what have you.

looking at it again, the art isn't.... well it's not as bad as I remember it (or my standards has dropped significantly) and it seems like a big part of why I remember it being ugly is that she's fucking not just ugly bastards but fucking lepers and shit.

No More Golden Days has a good art style. Sucks that the VN was abandoned though.
The art style of "The Night of Suburra" is somewhere between somewhat decent yet also ugly at the same time. I'd definitely rank Morning Explosion's art style higher since it's got a cutesy aesthetic despite looking rough around the edges.
But yeah, thanks for the recommendations you two. Anybody else got any recommendations for historical porn games? Looking forward to when the tagging system on this website gets updated. I think "historical setting" is going to be one of the new tags.
