Could be a quick fix, let me just check and see. Lord knows I’ve screwed that up in the past...

**EDIT**

Yep, simple mistake, got it fixed. Just need to figure out how to patch it into the game without making everybody download the thing for the umpteenth time.

This file will help with the changes I've made (or so I believe).

Unzip somewhere you can find it easily, place the .rvdata2 file into the Data folder, overwrite the original copy.

If you do it like that, it should automatically update the game to prevent that issue and you can continue on your path towards fucking women. Just be wary, you'll probably need to use the Debug room to see most of the original scenes, I've almost got the update for the babysitting ready to go.

**EDIT**

Posted the wrong file. Use this one instead, same rules apply.

that has to happen on Monday because I already copy the file and when I wake up, the mother does not make HJ

Like I said - this is just a chance to experience the beginning of the game, it's buggy as hell, I'm working on it as fast as I can - and no, Mom won't give you a HJ in the morning (making it damn-near impossible to get her going without using the debug room) because I took out the "Persuasion" ability that made it happen.

On Friday/Saturday/Sunday/ any day after you see the Nexus completely for the first time, you can go back and reuse the Debug room (press Q). This will let you see whatever scene you want, jump past certain blocks, or push people into the Corrupt path as far as you want (it's useful because that's where 99% of my work has gone so far).

TL;DR: Buggy game. Bad Xalenda. Wait until Full Nexus appears, then go nuts.

Hey all, it’s been a pretty shitty week for me,which doesn’t excuse my lack of a fairly simple release, but my dad recently had heart surgery, and was doing fine until Thursday of last week.

He had a coughing fit and some of his stitches came undone. He’s fine now, but it was scary for a while there. Once I get back home I’ll upload what I can, but it’ll be slow going for a while.

I’m also having logistical issues with coding, in trying to figure out how to add Apathy as a stat into the game. I’m giving some serious consideration to upgrading to using the 9.X version, as that already has the blackmail route which can be reworked into what I need.

The alternative is to have Apathy be a “hidden” stat, but that just seems lazy and ill-conceived, not to mention frustrating to figure out how far somebody has gone. I’m trying to get in contact with anybody that knows Ruby scripting to see if they can help, but so far, there’s been nothing.

As for what’s next, I’ve got a lot of the proposed storylines more fleshed out, and will keep working on that when I’m at the hospital with my father as much as I’m able.

Thankfully, Nergal made it so you can turn off the mini game, and I’ll leave it off (unless asked otherwise). I can’t promise a release date on anything for a bit, but I’ll be sure to keep you all updated as I go.

Take care of your family first man. I know that goes without saying but still. I hope your father is alright and is able to recover from whatever is hurting him soon.

Good news: stitches weren’t ripped, the scab just broke.
Better news: he won’t need more surgery.

Bad news: it’s another week in the hospital, because it might’ve got infected.
Worse news: I’m on babysitting duty whenever I’m not working, leaving very little time to code anything.

Just do what you have to do. I appriciate this mod and look forward to when you will be able to add the new features (another route is always interesting especially the interaction that can be improved upon) but if you don't have the time then no problem.

I wish you and your family well. Have a good day.

Babysitting duty is rough. My niece always gives me shit whenever I'm stuck watching her so I don't envy you. Glad your dad doesn't need more surgery and I hope his recovery goes well.

Hey all... I've got some bad news.

In the past week, I've spent a lot of time in and out of hospitals, babysitting my sister's kid and looking after my father as well, and I haven't been able to get much of anything done. In fact, I've become very disheartened with my ability to finish what I started - for now.

The baseline is there, I've got the story planned and written, I've got the character arcs I want to see happen, added in the various items and skills and things... and the game crashes repeatedly. I cannot, for the life of me, figure this one out. I've reached out to others in the community, and to the RPM forums as well, nobody can see what I've done wrong (I had to be super vague about what this game was, since it's a public forum for everybody.)

To that end, I've decided to put this on hold for the time being - Dad's getting better and my life is about to become a whole lot more hectic now that my 'vacation' from work is over (read:full-time employment instead of part-time), so this is gonna have to go on the back burner.

This is not me giving up! I will finish this, I will post something once in a while, and I'm right in the middle of transferring everything that I can from the current version of the game into the newest version. It'll take longer than usual, though, and I'm sorry for that.

HUGE, MEGA thanks to each and every one of you for supporting me, this was a fantastic boost and a wonderful way to spend a few months working on something. If you're looking for more of this kind of thing, please contact Chilly Scholar in his Mod thread, he's really nice and super-awesome; also, consider becoming a patreon supporter for NergalsNest so that he can continue to make incredible games and freely lets other people mod.

I'll be around for a while yet, just got one last 'patch' to get up onto a DL site - it should have the Persuasion ability unlocked in it so you can progress with story-line things again, as well as the babysitting stuff I promised a month ago (You have NO idea how pissed at myself I am at that, it was supposed to take two days, not four weeks...!).

See you out there in the wide, wide forums of F95Zone.

Sincerely,
Demonic Pony Xalenda

Thanks for what you've been able to give us and congrats on getting full-time employment. I hope you're able to eventually fix the problems you're having as well. Anyway have a good summer dude see you around the forums.

It's going back to full-time - I took three months off at part-time to deal with my father's surgery (pre and post) to help out, but now I'm unable to support myself with the lessened hours. I'll be sure to get something out before I slap an ON HOLD notice on this baby.
