This thread is literally the only thread on the entire site that I have marked for new message updates. Can't wait for the next content update. :)

Also, silverbard:

In the current bugfix update there's 2 bugs I noticed that cropped up.

1. if I load a save game at the screen where you're potentially offered a handicap (before matches) it instead skips that night's matches and goes to the next day.

2. sometimes upon loading, the buttons go down off the bottom of the screen.

I'll put out another quick fix today to handle the first bug.
I think the second is actually an issue with Windows 10. Sometimes it just doesn't count the taskbar when maximizing and puts your window behind it. I've run into that in a bunch of games.

You're probably right, it's just weird since I didn't see it with the other versions.

Fans of the game, be aware there is a poll going on here: that will have significant implications for future content.

@The Silver Bard , I am not a member of your forum but I will add a comment about the poll. I like reading sexy scenarios whether in combat or in the daily routine. My suggestion for the daily routine stories would be to make them extendable based on your status with the girl in question, have them start the same but be able to move to a different ending as you progress in the game. Also, I would like to see more with Angel's friends as you only see them during the day, maybe even to the point where they have stats to track and a chance for events to fire without Angel, which could lead to some good stories working behind her back. They are the only people the MC knows that aren't involved in the game.

I understand it is mostly a combat game and the extensive system of combat is great and very inventive, but the MC did enroll in the school for an education, and while the MC is getting quite an education, it is not what the school teaches and maybe a little more thought as to how the daytime passes would flesh out the game more.

And along those lines, why couldn't Angel's friends stumble upon the game some night? They must be interested in where she goes every evening. You would think it would be hard to hide 4 or 5 people running around campus in various states of undress, attacking each other sexually.

Is it no longer a rule that a defeated opponent cannot interact with you until they've gotten a new set of clothes? If it is, then there's a bug. The game prevents me from interacting with characters that have defeated me until I get a new set of clothes, but the NPC's can still interact with me regardless, ignoring the rule.

For example: I defeated Cassie, then immediately had the option to fight another NPC with Cassie still in the area. Cassie helped the other NPC and I insta-lost the fight. Even if this isn't a bug, it's definitely against the spirit of the rules, especially considering Cassie was still naked from our previous fight before assisting the other NPC.

After this happened, Cassie was still in the area, presumably still naked, but I could not interact with her.

Edit: After fighting Mara and winning, it happened again. Jewel showed up immediately following the fight, I tried to flee (and failed) and Mara helped Jewel, thus resulting in auto-loss.

Edit 2: And again. Immediately after the auto-loss to Jewel, Angle showed up. This time I tried to fight just to see what would happen, and Jewel intervened in the fight to help Angel, resulting in another auto-loss.

Edit 3: It appears that I'm able to intervene as well. I defeated Angel, then my next move took me to an area where she was fighting (still naked) with Mara. I was able to intervene and help Mara defeat Angel, which feels like I defeated her twice in a row without her recovering. This still seems like it's a bug, and if not, should be against the rules.

There isn't a rule forbidding participants from interacting after a fight. The rule you're thinking of is that no points are awarded for making a recent opponent orgasm again time until the loser recovers. This allows the after-combat sex scenes to occur without affecting the score. Fights won't occur where there are no points to be gained.

This doesn't prevent a participant from restraining a recent opponent so that someone else can make them cum. You as the player are also allowed to intervene in fights even when one of the combatants is not eligible for you to fight directly.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the response!

What is the stat gain of the NPC's supposed to be? It's currently the 4th night, and I'm level 4. I met Cassie, and even though she is level 3, she has me beat on 2 of the 3 core stats (Power, Seduction, Cunning) and is tied with me on the last one. Her stat values are 10, 8, and 11. Is this normal? In the previous version of the game (version VNOb3) I had a similar situation with Angel, who at level 3 somehow had 18 seduction. Do the NPC's start with higher base stats than the PC does, or is something else going on here?
I should mention: I've done no training with any of the other contestants at this point.

Also, does charming strip work? When used, it gives the same line of text as a normal strip attempt. Is this just because I failed the attempt? Or is it misreading it as a regular attempt as opposed to a mojo move?

Another question: how much XP is typically gained per fight? And how many fights does Fast Learner reduce the required number by? So for example, if it's 10 fights/level, what would the new number of fights/level be with Fast Learner?

I'd like to do more with Angels friends, and I do have some scenes with Caroline when playing video games. I don't know what I could do with Sarah and Mei solo though. Their characters seem too dependent on their relationship with Angel, which is admittedly my failing as a writer.

I've intentionally omitted most of the player's day-to-day life that isn't related to the Games to emphasize how much they've dominated his life. Once you join the Games, everything else becomes unimportant.

There's some lore in the game implying the organizers take great pains to hide the Games from uninvolved students. Specifically Yui's recruitment mentions that it's not unprecedented for a student to enter the match area, but it's very unusual, and Lilly's assistants usually send the student away before he or she sees anything.

Night Games 2: Professional league, when?
I'm not planning to make a sequel to Night Games. I have more interesting game ideas to work on, and the idea of replacing participants with more seasoned and jaded individuals doesn't really appeal to me from a character standpoint. However, that concept is probably going to come up in some of Samantha's scenes. She has experience in the Games, but didn't attend this college, so she most likely got her experience in the Professional League.

Like the Player, NPCs have the ability to train during the day to improve their Attributes. That makes stat growth a little unpredictable.

As far as I know, Charming Strip Top and Charming Strip Bottoms both work. Miss messages for the adaptive skills are the same as the normal versions.

XP per fight is 15 + 5 per level the opponent is higher. Fast Learner is a 10% bonus, so if you needed 10 fights to level, you'd do it in about 9 fights.

Ah, I see. Thank you!
As for training, do the NPC's train with other NPC's or by themselves? Also, if we train with them/they train together, are their stats going to increase as a consequence of our interactions with them/their interactions with others?

Really, i was just joking (you know like how college football is to the NFL) but yeah so there is canonically a national/international professional league?

Before I start, I just want to say that the purpose of this isn't to rant, it's to provide feedback.

The NPC's use an oppressive amount of items during the fights, and seem to save all of them for the PC. Do we ever get a chance to dodge these projectiles?
Additionally, because of the number of items used, as much fun as the game is and as much as I enjoy the mental picture of using all the different skills and whatnot, combat, for me at least, very quickly devolves into something like this: get hit with a hypersensitivity flask, be forced into reducing opponent's stamina to 0, raise arousal a little bit, then repeat steps 2 and 3 while hoping that in the 1 turn they get before you get them back to 0 they don't push you over the edge, deviating to use bluff/focus and HOPE that after your opponents roll it reduced arousal enough to actually matter, then continue steps 2 and 3.
Because of the NPC's main fighting style (use an exorbitant amount of items on you and then have a considerably easier time winning), their attribute point gain rate, and (i'm assuming) their stat gain rate all coupled together, it seems as though us as the PC's are at a fairly sizable disadvantage in every fight, because as far as I can tell there is little to no way that we can keep up with both the attribute gain and the stat gain.
I'm almost tempted to see exactly what the difference is between normal and hard mode, because I already find myself struggling to win even 50% of the fights, with about 60% seeming to end in a loss.

To put the item thing in perspective: I've had multiple ~40 turn fights were I've spent over 70% of those turns under at least 1 status affect or had at least 1 dissolving flask used on me.

I once asked about the hard mode and the short version of it is that it undercuts the mood-system that is in place. Instead, the enemies take the shortest route to victory. Hence, hard mode is actually not that fun. I don't recommend it (and neither does Silverbard AFAIK) and instead opt to take some self imposed challenges or the challenge mode at the very beginning of the game where you cannot decline additional restrictions.

Personally, I find that the game is a lot more freeform if you try to factor in mood and the weakness of the enemy PC. For example, each girl has a stat they excel at (except Cassie) and also some pure weakness to some attacks. Going toe to toe physically with Jewel is just making things hard for yourself. Then there's the mood system. Each attack you do affects how they view you during that fight. If you keep physically attacking the, they get angry/upset and will respond in kind. Similarly, you can make them horny and make them do half the work for you. In some cases you can make them finish themselves off, which I find somewhat hilarious. Besides, the goal shouldn't be to win every fight. There's no real drawback to losing a fight except if you perform really badly and they sort of ignore you in the loss-text.

It's a bit of a shame the main page for this game urges you to knock the opponent out. It's actually not necessary (there are other ways to reduce stamina, like tickling) or you can simply push them over infrequently without really affecting their mood. Then, the opponent will also be less agressive in their moodset regarding your own stamina pool.

I also urge everyone to ignore the load button. The game plays a lot better that way.

Actually, it's probably a good idea to make some of this more explicit in the game itself. Maybe just take the player aside for a moment to discourage taking the physical option each and every time because it's a common complaint and *very* common playstyle.

To be fair, the Hard Mode AI was written before the Emotion system was implemented, so it's natural that it wouldn't take it into account. A certain portion of the community really wants optimal AI, for everyone else I don't suggest hard mode even if you find the game a little easy.

If opponents don't have the Aerosolizer (part of the Science skillset, so only Mara should get it) consumable flasks require a standard accuracy roll. Evasion is based on Cunning and Speed.

I wouldn't recommend relying on keeping an opponent stunlocked. Stunning opponents is useful for undressing them since it negates their evasion. Reducing opponents' Stamina makes it easier to maintain pins and dominant positions (which should be your bread and butter if you're using a Power build). Overusing pain attacks will reduce opponents' Arousal and make them Angry, which is counter-productive.

As long as you do some training, exercising, and watching porn each day, the player will generally have a small advantage in both stats and Attributes. There's an XP bonus for fighting higher level opponents and training is more likely to succeed for characters with lower Attributes, so it's unlikely for any character to get too overpowered or fall too far behind.

@The Silver Bard , are there any plans to introduce more anal domination moves & features for the girls to use?

Nightgamesmod introduced a great addition of the girls dominating you anally and an array of anal weaknesses that you are succeptible to as a result. It lead to some really tense rounds of you struggling to get free before being fucked into submission. It had the effect of raising the stakes of each fight and made me care about my character's virginity and standing after each night.
