I actually don't think patreon's issue was with the incest aspect as much as it was against the rapey part. incest is in the bible in spades so if anything incest is a christian value. But rape... thats just wrong.

I would probably start a new one just to stay true to my vision if I was a dev. Moreover rewriting would take shitton of work for most devs. Hope it won't be necesarily.

So, I wonder what their stance would be on the game I am creating at the moment... The characters look under age but they aren't. They just have a genetic disorder that makes them look younger than they are. Would that be considered a banable offense? The game I'm making is called Forever Young, my patreon is rargames if you want to check out the main menu picture. Incest is an option in the game as well. I've been working tirelessly for many sleepless nights to get this game out there and now I come to find out that it might be for nothing at all!? Where the hell is the Larry Flint in this situation that builds a site like patreon for the adult minded devs? Obviously there is a trend for certain kinds of porn lately and people arevoicing there opinions by donating money to the games that feature such content. Who are they to say that its right or wrong? The owners of that site i guess but... still.

Simply because there is no need for that. For now at least.

Of course I don't like this as much as you do... but as openlettertopatreon says, some of us are just trying to continue creating and be supported and don't want this to end.
Even if I will complete my game regardless of patrons and patreon, it's undoubtful that the income is giving me a big help with all the costs this activity has (because there ARE costs if you want to do something at least a little good).

I think you're fucked, in the long run anyway. Your "genetic disorder" brought a big smile to my face, it looked like interesting creative approach to the problem. But it would be too easy, the world is going other way.
You'd think that people would appreciate what advances in computer technology allow us to do. You can create any kind of crazy shit, to please even the most twisted minds. Violence, animals, minors, zombies, incest, ... anything you like, the list is endless. Want a game where blood related family of underage zombies eat and fuck each other, including their living neigbours and pets? I don't, but I'm sure someone would like it. But most important is all possibly real stuff, you no longer need to involve any actual living being to make it, so no one can be hurt. Ain't that great? Sadly, telling the difference between fiction and reality is too much for too many people. Plus it's all niche stuff. So when some self-proclaimed saviour decides to ban it, be it on their website (well, that's their right) or worse by law (already happening in some countries), who will protest? Nobody, "just a few freaks" at most, there won't be any real opposition. General public either doesn't care or will cheer for the saviour. The future is not looking bright.
