All we can do is wait and see, as i understand it Patreon itself is fairly small (80 people), and not all of them are on the trust and safety team. Lot of content probably under review/concerned dev's contacting them so they'll be busy working through it all. DoD was amongst the first to go down and its only jus gotten back up a couple hours ago.

Well, I've now removed any mention of daughter or students, just in case. So now I've just got: "Teacher's Pets is an adult game. You play as a teacher starting out at a new school. There are many characters to interact with at the moment, each with her own unique and identifiable personality. "

Which is sure to intrigue potential customers.

Still no contact from Patreon, I sent them another email about an hour ago. Apparently they're open 3 more hours today.

if it's a one man legal team reviewing these and given that it's a Friday afternoon (3 pm here in Los Angeles) I don't think they gonna get to it today :FeelsBadMan::FeelsBadMan::FeelsBadMan:

Sadly as with most tech companies, they have about 80 people of which 40 are "executives", 35 are Lawyers, and the remaining 5 are 1/2 pay interns.. or the janitors... which do all the real work.

Kinda weird they didn't do this on a Monday, they must of known it'd create a tonne of work so why leave it so late in the week. Unless the T and S team works weekends to.

sounds like corporate bullshitting and wasting of time. I see this frequently with people at work that hold onto critical information and don't say anything for a week or two then mention it to the poor soul (usually me) that has a day to put it together and submit for a leadership meeting.

This is ridiculous. I mean, of all adult games there, TP is probably least controversial. I mean, there are some big names they didn't even touch and fetishes of those games are really bordereline.

On the other hand, I saw few other titles with Patreon's pages under review and with so much work to do, it could take a time.

They probably working through all the adult game tagged patreon pages systematically. As said above likely only a small team so they can't put everything under review in one go or their mail servers would probs crash from the number of angry dev's and patrons messaging them.

Except the most popular games on Patreon are at least as questionable (regarding the community guidelines) as mine and they've either not been taken down or were quickly back up. I have no problem making further changes but I haven't received any further contact from them at all.
There's a lot of games on Patreon that violating their so called community guidelines but they didn't take some action for that like what they did to your page. My point is, if they really want to implement that community guidelines they must be fair enough.

It doesn't matter whether or not they enforce their new guidelines regarding the games itself. As of now you're only allowed to advertise vanilla games. Who the fuck wants to pay for animated missionary sex pics? Established devs might be able to survive for some time. But what about new ones?

"Hey guys, I'm creating adult game #36563. Doesn't that sound amazing? There'll be crazy sex scenes like missionary...and missionary in a double bed!"

We need a new platform. Like yesterday.

How about Steam early access
Ha, making something Steam-appropriate is certainly something I've been considering for my next project (with adult patch available, of course). VNs really seem to be taking off on Steam. I'd have to patch out a hell of a lot get TP on Steam. Besides, VNs don't really lend themselves to the early access model. As much bitching as you hear about an incomplete product with Patreon games (where it's largely expected) I imagine if you tried to release a VN in the state my game is currently in you'd quickly be reviewed and refunded into oblivion (assuming people actually found and played it).

Someone will just make a service that will pick up where patreon now stops ...alternatively you could just make your own web page with what ever and just link to it on patreon, have your patron's added to a special user group that will have access to certain stuff ...:)

Adding an all characters are 18 disclaimer would help as well

Steam is a toxic place. And believe me Valve is even more zealot than Patreon ever will be. Don't go there.

So I'm fairly certain that the person charged with monitoring my page never received any of my emails nor checked to see whether I made any changes. Because I have my "irredeemable" email account, the one I use for TP stuff, forwarded to my personal Gmail (and had no reason to bother setting up SMTP for it yet) rather than reply directly to her email I emailed the address they tell you to contact on your suspended page (guidelines@patreon.com).

Well shortly before 6 pacific time I received this:

Hello again,

I am following up from the message I sent yesterday.
Please take the weekend to make the necessary changes.

I am away for the weekend, but I will check on your page on Mondaymorning. If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to reach out to me.

Which seems to indicate that she was completely unaware that I had sent multiple emails or that I had made updates to my page. So, yeh. I guess that makes me feel a little better? Or worse, I don't know.
