It's possible
I take out all the swimsuits from the dorms and replace them with one specific swimsuits for each of the houses
Put Hermione"s in griffendor and leave the rest blank
I do this for all the houses and click on the painting to say do step 3 but the painting says do step one and 2 first
Just wondering if I missed something because the swimsuits return thanks to the elves
The walkthrough in the first post will take you all the way to end-of-content.
The tricky part with the swimsuits is to go to each house on the day after each girls preferred day and replace their favorite swimsuit with the Hermione version.

I have read the walkthrough and tried the following combos with no results
1st try
Griffendor
Monday
Slytherins ravenclaw huffelpuff
Tuesday. Thursday Saturday
2nd try
Slytherins ravenclaw huffelpuff
Wednesday. Friday sunday

I then try talking to the painting and no change keeps telling me to do the first t29 things again
I think I will give up as I am having no luck and cannot proceed with the event or know if it worked

You go on Monday an
Look...
Load the save before you took any swimsuit and gave it to the Hat.
Then... On Monday, at 2pm, summon Minerva and go to Griffindor house, take first red panty in the upper left corner on your picture.
Go back, give it to Hat.
Then:
Syltherin - Tuesday - take all swimsuits, Hat will take only one from that bunch - the rest you put in the closet in the office
Ravenclaw - Thursday - same with the swimsuits
Hufflepuff - Satuday - same with the swimsuits
When you do that, at Saturday, ask Hat for swimsuits and choose everytime Hermiona's red for the other 3 girls.
When you get the same model in the different color for the 3 girls, at Sunday you do this:
10am - Summon Minerva, go to Slytherin again and put Daphne's swimsuit in, take all others out.
2pm - Summon Minerva, go to Ravenclaw and put Luna's swimsuit in, take all others out.
6pm - Summon Minerva, go to Hufflepuff and put Susan's swimsuit in, take all others out.
Finnish the day, go to Luna's dreams, try to hit right answers.
At next Monday, go to Lurch by flying with broom through the window and talk with him, you should get the option.
If not, skip few days and repeat.
That's how I passed that step.
P.S. I did not put any suit at Hermiona's house, since at Sunday, you are able to summon Minerva 3 times since there are 3 breaks when the girls are not in the dorms.
