I'm kind of dumb but I think the devs should also have the entire story mapped out before they even start making renders.
Just my opinion of course.
Absolutely. I've posted the same many times before on several different threads. The script should be written in its entirety before doing the first render or line of code.

I have to say Wuzzy I'm really upset by this news.
I don't give a damn about the money but now I'll never know what was going to happen.

I wonder if they ran into financial difficulties or were they sick of people complaining?

The problem with this entire project was the lack of spinal fortitude from the devs. They allowed all the complaints and negativity to yank them to and fro and in the end, no one was very happy. A note to anyone considering making an AVN, or a piece of artwork, or a song, or whatever....make it for you, hold onto your vision and thumb your nose at everyone else. You will never make everyone happy--just do it.
I would add the caveat - this kind of "design by committee", while artistically vacant, can be possible and produce enjoyable games.

However, it also requires a certain kind of dev mentality who's willing to "let the ship go where the wind takes it" - and through numerous updates it's clear to me this wasn't this dev. Yes, there was a lot of negativity and feedback, some of which the dev acted on, but in a half-assed way.

So while I don't disagree with you, probably either route would have been preferable - the dev staying committed to his vision, or a willingness to be extremely flexible with the narrative and tone. Practically I imagine the first option as a Steph being more deceptive; ultimately the game sating ntr enthusiasts. I imagine the second as it becoming more of a light-hearted swingerfest.

It's current implementation is a bizarre amalgamation of the two - which is part of why complaints have persisted.

Did this dev publish the game also on patreon or only steam?

It never really felt like netorare to me but I'm also much more lenient to what I consider netorare than other people.
It's just sad now I'll never get to see Jason bust a big load in Steph's fertile womb

STEAM

All work on this project has been suspended

This game is no longer being developed. We've had a change in direction, and I have yet to decide what will ultimately happen with this game.

The game will remain in it's current state. I will adjust some of the content on the page to better reflect the game's current state and the fact that it is no longer being developed.

I appreciate the support we have had over the past year or so, and I apologize that we did not deliver on the expectations we created. But the situation here has changed, and I can offer no assurances that this game will be developed beyond it's current state.

Thank you for taking an interest in our product.
Okay they wanted to abandon the trilogy, change direction, whatever. They could have at least finished this first game since people paid for it. Very disappointing. They were only one major update off finishing the damn thing.

Maybe both...don't know. And it's not that they have to do it my way. I play very few 'games' on here because they simply don't interest me. Heck...earlier today I saw an update for a game that I never even knew existed (don't know how I missed it). I looked into it and saw well over a hundred reviews and digging deeper, saw that the dev team is pulling down somewhere between $15000 to $20000 per month! Some are donating at $100/month tier. Just crazy. But after dicking around in the game, I had zero interest. I could stay and complain and whine but what good would it do. They are obviously successful. And I think that's what it takes, ignore folks that are obviously not going to fit the mold, pay a little bit of attention to those that offer a bit of well-constructed criticism (especially at the beginning), then fly high. :)

a couple updates prior to this, it was clear to me there was a change in direction. Whether it's due to Steam buyers and forum posters pressure or they change their mind themselves i don't know.

The devs can actually write good dialogues. But to me it feels like they initially try to go to a direction and then in the middle they changed their minds. And after that I was just checked out.

I was still interested in the end product but I really don't want to wait update after update of something that feels rudderless.

So i'm pretty surprised when they decide to abandon the game. I don't really get it, if they want to satisfy the buyers or forum posters, then what's wrong with just finishing it even if they change direction.

If they want to keep to their initial vision, then do that too.

Why quit? I don't get it. I really don't.

I know this game is Early Access but I didn't know developers can just up and leave on Early Access games. This is new to me. I thought they need to somewhat finish it instead of just leave.

I'm pretty sure early access games have a disclaimer that warn about potential abandonment or something along those lines.

There is not much we can do about it. I had concerns which I did mention around Steph's reveal but once we got past all that, I did expect they would stick out until the first game was completed especially being so close to the end. Ah well, there is a hint there that will be some sort of wrap up for the game.

I hope so mate.
I don't care about money it's more that games are an emotional investment and I can get very attached to them.
Even if I try not to.

I wonder what they meant by change in direction? We'll probably never know for sure unfortunately.

Definitely, I was very attached to the characters and game on various levels. I loved Gina especially, she was a bitch but she was my bitch! :ROFLMAO:

I have no idea about a change in direction. A new title and story would be my guess. I hope they learn from their mistakes at least.

Honestly after this i don't think I'll even try another game from them.
