Also getting this issue. Just upgraded my machine, so likely just missing something. Did anyone ID the issue yet? I'd rather not ask on discord, people tend to be obnoxious (at best) on those. Kinda amuses me that a piratey forum is (generally) more polite than most of them.

If you find the solutions pls let me know as I did not manage to solve mine!
(to be honest, I just let it slit and I'm waiting for one or a new release of the games to come out, secretly hoping that problem will passively solve itself as some older versions didn't supposedly had the issue)

Pulled 2.17 off my old machine, can confirm it worked on that one and partially works on my current computer (ctd on death, ctd on loading an old save, probably more ctd's too)

Found the issue after getting pointed in the right direction my someone on the discord. Issue is read/write permissions. Avoid directly on a drive, program files, desktop, and any other places that restrict them.

PS. I dont actually recommend upgrading to this version (2.21Fix)
The ranged damage calculations got overtuned so your new characters will get oneshot by any ranged enemy, even in the beginner puppy dungeon.
Stick to 2.20 unless you want to suffer

My apologies, his version is different from the earlier version I have. Tested the v20 with the cracked files from an earlier build, seems to work. Place files in the main "/Elin Playtest/" folder. As before, use "steamclient_loader".

I have a problem. I always don't have enough water because I drained almost every well and fountain on the first continent, and they recover slower than my character drink them. Does anyone have the same problem? Is there an endless source of water in the game?

Just drink potions, alcohol, juice, tea, etc. All those will contribute to thirst as well!

Adding on Sawa's suggestion, once you unlocked the farm and get a juicer/blender you can make juice from fruits. That's your 'infinite' hydration source, technically.

Additionally, you can disable thirst in the tweaks menu since it's a dumb added mechanic which stops you from eating actual stat gaining food (since drinking restores satiety)
Also, you can [T]hrow potions at yourself, and it is treated as drinking.

well a bit of a late answer, but there is several ways to combat thirst/hunger, but fore some of the easiest ways is to:

i think that's the most afordable ways to get Food and Drink's easly in the game, but i have probably overloked something.

Coconut crab is apparently rare item only obtained from fishing and capsule balls. And for gods you don't need impression (unless you want to romance then), you need faith which is obtainable by offering food/meat/corpse/items on their altars.

It is almost imperative to get and keep at least 10 cursed scrolls of lesser material in case you found an unclaimed altar in nefias so you can try change it into Cloth Altar, which enables you to do offerings on the go. Really, really handy for farming faith coupled with the dragon dungeon, since dragons drop heavy corpse. Don't forget to fireproof it, though, since cloth burns if you get hit by fire attacks.

Once you're rich enough to have a ton of Scrolls of High Material you can try to change it into ether instead; keeping ether items inside your inventory won't trigger the corruption effect, only equipping it, and ether are resistant to all effect so you don't need to fireproof/acidproof it.

Summon one on Truce Ground and give them 'Crazy Epic' presents (you can buy those on Noel/Noyel) or cook dishes and mix those with love potion.

Opatos? Clay can only be obtained from cave type nefias, just like in the mountain pass.
