It's not particularly dark. I just said the game loop is (a bit) similar to that of DD, not the atmosphere. As you can see I didn't try to replicate DD's art style at all.
Yea that was always very clear, don't know why that guy got such assumptions

Minor progress update: skill icons.
I've beeing looking for an icon designer for a while... unfortunately I haven't found one who's suitable while affordable. So I did it myself. I know it's probably not the best looking icon set, but I hope it's enough for the demo version.

You should have more confidence in your art! Those Icon look great, more than enough to convey their uses. If this isn't your "best" then I bet you can only get better from here.

I'm just leaving a comment here to not forget about this game existence because this is straight up one of the most beautiful and crisp character design and art style for a porn game I've seen yet. This is near revolutionary level holy shit , godspeed for your success cause this is some REAL GOOD FUCKING FOOD you're cooking up

Sorry I can't make it released faster
those bugs and unperformant code (written when I was not that familiar with how Unity's render pipeline work as I am now) bite me a lot. I believe I've fixed most of them tho. Now it runs at 50FPS on my laptop with no standalone GPU (steady 60FPS without physics simulation, but it looks so much better with physics...)

Male protagonist.
But you (the protag) is mostly represented as a 2D sprite like this:
Instead of 3D model like the female characters.
The reason:
1) To save me some time to make better female character models
2) Easier for the player to swap in their own sprite if they want

I'm not ruling out that, but the top top priority is to have an official demo for the first Steam Next Fest 2024. The official demo should be a vertical slice, where all systems are ready, just with less characters/monsters/skills/scenes than the final game. In other word, an actual playable game, just very short.
Any feature that might risk me to miss that mark is put on backburner. Obviously adding a new protag is one of them. I can only say it's not something I fundamentally against (perhaps as a DLC or Patreon stretch goal?).

In regard to Unity's atrocious new pricing change:
The plan to release a demo in Steam Next Fest 2024 doesn't change. However, after I release the demo, I'll probably have to port Horny Dungeon to another engine as Unity has proven to be unreliable. I'll write as much as game logic in Lua from now on to make the process easier later.
In either case, the target schedule of first dome doesn't change. (unless Unity makes another barbaric plan)
