Simple render to test light setup and some improvement over my model (it is still a G3F figure)...
The hair are posed via dforce and I use a displacement map over it to simulate wavy hair...

great idea, but the left side is too dark to understand anything...
Yep, that was intentional: I usually render out with a fairly high-dynamic range that gives me more play for the post-work, but not with this image, and as a result I got banding in the shadow/highlight areas, so I hid the banding in shadow, creating vast swathes of darkness ...

Lesson kinda learned ;)
