Dunno why but the 3.9 version just doesn't find the Xmas and chapter 7 files, 1 to 6 it does find though, but all are in packs.
Even tried special and side story but those are empty. Weird things are happening.... (or not happening, depending on view)

EDIT : Note to self : do not copy the complete "packs" file to the new main game..... Problem solved dev!

It is way complicated... Why is there not a single file with all chapters?? The main game is just 35 MB, so not a matter of space

There is a file packs/resource-list.json which contains a 'definition' for chapters, side stories and specials. So, I think what happened was copying the packs directory from older version to the newer version overwrites that file, hence the game does not recognize Chapter 7 and the Christmas 2022 Special.

The "Mediafire" link that's supposed to be chapter7 is in reality the christmas special. The "Gofile" link for chapter7 is good.

The main game is 35MB, it doesn't contain any images or dialogues for the chapters. But the chapter packs are around 300+ MB per chapter, christmas special is 650MB. So if I put them in a single file it's around 2.7GB.

I would suggest to just start a chapter at a time. Download MainGame v0.3.9, then download chapter 1. If you like chapter 1, then download chapter 2, and so on.

You can even start with just MainGame v0.3.9 and the Christmas Special pack, to check if the game is to your liking.

Take it a chapter at a time. This way if find that you don't like the game, then you didn't have to download all 2.7GB.

Pretty slick deal for potential players I say. Imagined what it felt like downloading 2.7Gb but later did not like it (because of certain Ninja scene for example). But yeah, for some it will be a slight hassle having to download chapter by chapter, but hey you just need to download the chapters only once.

And the best thing is when there is an updated, I just have to download the newer contents, without having to redownload all the contents that I already have again (if everything is packed into a bundle). Big win for me.

As JohnF95zone said, "there is no good reason for the feature". You can jump anywhere in the game using the Scene Selector. Middle mouse click during gameplay to display the Scene Selector. You can jump to any scene in the game, you can even go to the specific image itself by clicking the image button in the scene selector. I've included a "installation and help" text file in the main game folder. You can also press F1 during gameplay to display the Help Menu. Or click the "?" button when the Scene Selector is displayed to display the Help Menu. Hope this helps.

Just started this game and it is intriguing. I play on a laptop with no middle mouse to be found though. I also might be busy for a couple of a days, thus forgetting on what line exactly I stopped playing last. I think providing a save and load option for players like me would be great.

On another note, an option for the speed of text would be nice too.

Keyboard shortcut 's' to bring up the Scene Selector (as an alternative to the middle button mouse click). The Scene Selector feature is much better compared to the save and load feature for the time being. So Save and Load feature is really not required for now, perhaps in the future if the chapters are way too large. Try it out first and see how it goes. I played (before) even without knowing that feature exists.

Main Game 0.4.0 Released

It is now even easier than ever to navigate around the game with the updated Scene Selector. Dialogue List is now added to the Scene Selector. Previously you can jump to any scene/image using the Scene Selector, now you can even jump to a specific line using the Dialogue List. Making back-tracking, reviewing the dialogue, or moving forward in the story even easier.

The Scene Selector is now visible by default. Middle click mouse or press "S" on keyboard to show/hide. You can also use the small arrow button on the upper right to show/hide it.

Click the "?" to open help and view the controls and keyboard shortcuts.

Just finished the game. It was enjoyable and had good humor and quality renders but each chapter was disappointingly short (the only 1 that was of a nice length was the Christmas special) and I still hope for a save option in the future. Still, nice job so far overall

PS: I find the arrow for the scene selector in the new v0.4 version being always on the screen to be distracting. Hope you remove it from future updates.

Darn my head was stuck on Chapter 9's release that I forgot I haven't even released Chapter 8 here yet. So here you go!

After the battle against the beasts in chapter 7, Shura is recovering from his wounds. Along with his wounds is memory loss. Minerva, the helpful elf that she is, gives Shura some history lesson to help him jog his memory.

Wait a minute... history lesson? This looks more like a date. A date?!! Oh boy, someone's not going to be too happy about that!



Chapter 8 gives a little back story on the origins of the witches, succubi, vamps, and all those other supernatural beings. And... watching a sexy movie
