Hi, im excited about your next project but HTML... not my favorite "engine"
It's not my favorite engine either as a player. That's why I'm trying to make it more like I would want to have it as a player. May I ask what specifically you don't like about HTML games?

First, awesome job with Paradise Found. The best real porn game I've played and such a great range of busty stars. Sensual Jane has been a top five favorite for ages.

Also, I immediately Googled Peta Jensen, Angela White, Krissy Lynn, Autumn Falls & Gabbie Carter + "nun porn".

I thought you did a great job papering over my biggest gripe with HTML games, the portability of saves. I've got an auto-cache cleaner on my browser, so in-browser saves get regularly deleted. PF saves them in the game folder, so it's simple enough to copy them over to a new install. Maybe not as easy as with Ren'py, where you do nothing, but a damn sight better than most HTML games.

Paradise Found is made in Java though, not HTML. The Monastery will be a Twine/HTML game and saves will work just like the way you don't like. Unless I can change the default save location to be a save folder instead of buried in the browser files. It's something I will probably look into at some point since I also want save files to be easily accessed.

Sorry to intervene with the HTML saves.
With 98.6% certainty I can say that the framework have the option to save the game to a file.
It'll be like a download of any file from the Internet.

As an example

The first 8 will be saved in the browsers cache and cleared if you play in privacy mode.
Use them only for temporary saves.

Yeah, that is the default way it works with Twine games, but most people save by pressing the "Save" button, as it's quicker than the "Save to Disk" option. I was thinking of making the "Save" button automatically save to a save file where the game is, which you could then Load, but as I haven't looked into it yet, I don't know how easy it will be to implement.

True, but it's just a matter of knowing how it works IMHO.
Maybe an initial message/warning screen which will show only once. Telling the player how the save system work and also inform that privacy mode clears the saves in the list.
Perhaps this is the fastest approach. I imagine it could take some time overriding the core functionality.

No, that wouldn't fit with the story and the character as the mc is a celibate, catholic priest with no children who does the investigation a long way from home. I guess someone could get around it reasonably by a mod where for instance one of the young women at the school happens to be related to the mc, the result of a sin early in his life, but that might break with the story in parts as I'm not taking any such story deviations into consideration. To make it clear, this won't be a "landlady" game.
Too bad. No "patch" means many will pass up playing this game, including me!:(

I'm considering it but I haven't come that far yet. But I want it to feel less linear than Paradise Found.

I am very curious why you decided to go back to twine after working on the engine for java this long. Nothing against HTML but the engine was also one of the paradise found's charms.
