Why do so many developers mix straight and trans content in one game?

The attraction of trans women to straight men is an odd, but super, interesting rabbit hole to dive into. Sexual interaction, in and of itself, to a trans woman doesn't inherently make a man gay.
How is it a odd dive, or at least a dive more odd than any others ?

By definition, a game is something virtual. This mean that what you see/read will not necessarily be translated literally in your mind. Therefore yes, as long as your mind make you suddenly go against your effective sexuality, you're diving into the rabbit hole. But is it really a dive different to the others ?
How many dive in such hole when they play a FPS, turning the lazy ass they are into some sharp fighting machine ? How many dive in such hole when they play a racing game, turning the guy who've seen his driver license revoked, info the next Fangio ? And so on.

Of course, it's sexual, but it's not different because of this ; you said it yourself, it doesn't inherently make a man gay.
What's make someone straight or homosexual, is not the sexual act (s)he practice, but the gender of the partner ; a male is not more gay because he like pegging, than a lesbian is straight because she like dildo penetration. And like, despite their dick, MtF transgenders are female, it's straight sex even when there's Futa on male content.

Of course, in real life the girl is wearing a strap-on, or a strap-less dildo, while in the game she's having a real dick made of flesh. But isn't this the utopia those persons (both the guy and the girl) are dreaming about ?
Sex is about getting pleasure, but also about giving pleasure, and pegging is unbalanced in this regard. Even with strap-less dildo, the pleasure felt by the girl is far to equal the pleasure one get with his dick ; and with strap-on there's no physical pleasure at all. What would be the top would be a real dick ; then the pleasure will be total for both.
But there's a problem here, those men don't like dicks, and are turned off by them. Exactly like lesbians who like dildo penetration would turn Sahara dry if it was a real dick. Futa/trans games become then the only way to make their utopia take some kind of life. And, to some extend, this can possibly also apply to lesbians, with Futa/trans on female content, for the same "sex is about sharing" reason.

There's also those who can possibly use it to live an impossible love story.
The most beautiful girl I ever meet was MtF. Nothing ever happened between us, and I never saw her with less that light summer clothes. But she had a perfect face, deep astounding eyes, singing voice, and all. Everything in her was perfect, and now I know what's, for my mind, the definition of "the perfectly beautiful girl". I felt under her charm, but also knew right from the start that she was MtF and that is will never be more than me being under her charm, because it's not where my boat sails.
It's possible that, sometimes, in my mind male on Futa/trans scene turn into this love becoming true. I'm still totally turned off by dicks that aren't mine, but it wouldn't be "her" if she hadn't a dick, so, yeah, perhaps that it happened. And the same apply for other players.

But, once again, where's the odd part in those dive ? It's just someone living, the time of a game, a love story he can't live in real life. Instead of seeing himself as Rambo or Fangio, he see himself as someone who can get hard even if the love of his life have a dick. Either because then part of their sexual life would be fully satisfying for both, or because then this sexual life would be possible.

Trans women generally view themselves as women. They often live their lives as women. They prefer being referred to as women.
Not really. They don't "often live", nor "prefer being", they are women, period. And because of this they live like the women they are, and don't really find it funny to not be referred to as it. There's MtF who are more zen, and achieve to deal with jerks more easily than others, but it doesn't mean that they feel, and therefore are, less female than any other female in the world.

As Geralt_R said, it's often a choice (unless the game is built around Futanari, but that something different entirely) most games.
It's still a choice when it's built around Futa. The description and screenshot don't let doubt regarding this, and yet you made the choice to download and play the game.

While I tend to laugh at the word 'inclusion' and 'representation', as they're both demeaning and patronizing to those its being aimed at, there's nothing wrong with a dev including it if they enjoy it.
Do they all did it because they are enjoying it ?
I'm sure that for some of them, it's just because it's how live is. They put a black girl because black girls exist, an Asian girl because they also exist, and why should they stop there and not also have a MtF, since they also exist ? Ideally they should go further, adding mixed race girls, Arabian ones, and so on, but effectively covering all the spectrum would lead to way too many girls.
As you said, some will call this "inclusion", but it's in fact just showing the world as it is. This whatever some idiots can think because it hurt their self centered reality.

Edit: Few really obvious typos ; I know, there's surely others.

I think context is important, as is specifying the nature of said fetishizing. There's nothing wrong with fetishizing anything, short of the obvious not-so-legal stuff. People enjoy what they enjoy. I think it sort of ends up working the same way as it would with the whole BBC/Black New World Order type stuff. It's fine in porn, fiction, or games, but as with any fetish, most know where to draw the line and separate the fetishes/fantasies and reality/real people.

When you're attracted to a trans woman, are you just attracted to the idea of an attractive girl having a dick or are you attracted to the girl herself and then the dick? Speaking purely in pornographic and adult terms, there's nothing wrong with being attracted to an attractive girl with dick for her dick. It doesn't matter if she's being fetishized or even objectified, both are places they put themselves and are choices they were (hopefully) comfortable with.

I think that's where the distinction lies with fetishizing, at least in my opinion. If someone attracted to a trans woman came across one in real life, do they view them in the same way you would a porn or game? Do they treat them the same way (speaking figuratively, that is.)? Would they only pursue them for their dick? The reality is that a lot of trans women don't want to accept their dick (usually rooted within gender dysphoria) or even acknowledge the existence of it. They'd rather be treated like a woman (or rather, human.) and not a sex object. Obviously, there's exceptions, but that all changes by person and it isn't as if were talking about a real woman right now, either. So, yeah, I'd say you are, but again there's nothing really wrong with it in the sense of games or porn, either.
Yeah but there's been too many times when otherwise progressive individuals have accused people like me of 'fetishizing' transwomen, with the term clearly being morally loaded.

I like women, and I also like dick. I think it'd be cool if I could have both of those at the same time. It really frustrates me when I'm spoken about as some kind of sex pest. I've never 'creeped' on a transwoman, and based on the bigotry I can most likely expect, I would probably never try dating one either.

Rant over.

But is there really anyone here who enjoys both straight and trans content.?
It's not about who likes what.
It's just normal to want your product to be able to please as many people as possible.
That way you'll be able to squeeze more dolla from it.:coffee:

I think that may be a wrong assumption. A product that is designed to please everyone may end up pleasing no one.
If someone likes trans content and straight content is uninteresting to them, is a game that contains say 20% trans content worth playing for them?

And I think those who prefer straight content would be happier if there was an extra 20% of straight content.

But as I read some of the replies, there are people who like both straight and trans content. So there are obviously people with combinations of preferences that I assumed weren't very common.

My response was more rooted in the OP's narrow-sightedness (and hypocrisy. I mean, you aren't cool with gay men, which is fine, but then immediately turn say lesbians are fine
I don't know what's hypocritical about that. I'm attracted to women and I'm not attracted to men. Lesbian is still a woman and lesbian content means more pussy. :D

I'll never understand why people waste their time complaining about something they don't like in the first place.
It's not that I'm really complaining. I was just wondering if there are people who like both straight and trans content, or if developers who include both trans and straight content in their games are trying to target two totally separate groups.

But I've read responses that at least some people like both, so then that approach makes sense to me.

Nah. You are assuming that because a girl have a dick (let's say, a MtF) I, as a gay man, I should like it? sorry man, it doesn't work that way. If the dick comes attached to a woman, I'm not even getting close to it. Period.

But on the contrary, an attractive and masculine man with a pussy? (FtM). I would fuck him.
Interesting. I always learn something new here. I thought if something didn't have a dick, then it was unattractive to a gay man.

To be fair most futanari game have extremely beautiful women just with a penis with them so it ends up more about your aversion towards said penis than anything else. Personally I'm not excited about futanari in games, but it isn't a turn off and still I find it preferable in some situations (I prefer to see futanari on female than male on female for example, albeit I prefer to be a male MC thought, but any antagonist/rival I would rather prefer for them to be a futanari).

The whole industry is shifting there. Daisy Taylor is on brazzers. I mean there's audience for that. And I would bet five dollah that most viewers identify as straight.

I can imagine a gay or a trans can like gay and trans content.

As the straight male i am,

I don't mind the mix in fictional depictions of it, pretty much ever since i first played C.o.C. by Fenoxo i learned to accept futas and trans (it was the first game i played that actually had futas, trans, gay...) and i have in some non-male mc games played has a futa mc, doesn't really affect the mood, since the mood isn't on the assets for me but the circumstance (pretty much why certain genres rarely work for me).
Though in context of RL porn games where they use trans to portray said futas that doesn't really work for me, still it's fine there are those that enjoy that kind of content and should be able to experience it.

"Why do so many developers mix straight and trans content in one game?"

Like it was said before it's really not many, also why not?
Like ntr if you can avoid it there's no problem, since it requires your choice to witness said content. While content diversity can and does enrich the players experience, if that development isn't to your taste, just load a previous save and avoid that path, if the game is centered on that and the plot doesn't work for you delete/uninstall and move on (i did that on html sissification unavoidable games and don't regret it).

Careful with those words or are you really intending to say that of the 2118 female Brazzers pornstars even if 500 trans get recruited to the cast that is a trend shift ?
Of the total of Brazzers vids somehow i suspect that not even 20% are homo-sexual vids (male-male + female-female) and i seriously do not believe trans will ever surpass lesbian vids.

As if a company like Brazzers would react to something else than a trend...
They took a look at the world, saw more and more trans acceptance, and started to recruit accordingly to this. And obviously, they started with the more likely to generate big money. The trans acceptance by itself is not a trend, but Brazzers move is one, without a single doubt.

As individual, perhaps that Brazzers guys care about LGBT+ promotion, but as porn studio the only thing they care about is money. Else, it's not just one MtF star that they would recruit, and they would also recruit FtM. There's some well know porn stars there, like , who's ftM equivalent to Ron Jeremy on porn scene. And they would have started years ago, since trans porn actors aren't something new. The first sex scene involving only trans actors was filmed more than 15 years ago, and there were already cis on trans, and trans on cis, scenes before this one.
Must also be noted that, globally, porn studios, at least the one centered around internet like Brazzers, don't really differentiate between MtF and shemale content. For them it's the same "boobs and dick in a single body" content, intended to please both gay who want guys with boobs, and pan who don't care if the girl have a dick.

So yeah, Brazzers made a trend shift, hoping to get more money thanks to this, period.

Well i didn't meant trend shift in the context of starting to accept (or offer) trans content, but rather on the trans content surpassing a more predominant and already existing content like lesbian porn hence the comparison.
Basically what i meant was that just cause it's starting to show up in Brazzers, though as you said it's not exactly new stuff, it's not "The Whole Industry shifting", that through my interpretation would mean Trans genre would surpass whatever the most predominant porn genre out-there (I could be wrong so feel free to correct me).

You are right it is a trend shift Brazzers adding/accepting trans content to their service, but that's not the valid objective to my previous interjection of (Edit)joecoe Doomssatan666 post or at least wasn't my intention.

You are making a lot of assumptions. While you have identified yourself in one range and have sexual preference that nearly align with that, others cover the spectrum. There's no need to be shaming anyone on their identities and preferences (your 4th sentence).
General Rule 1 of this site applies in the forum you posted this thread.
You are making a HUGE leap in this accusation.

I do it in my game and the answer is: because it's fun (for me). I offer the players to skip gay content both during the quest and as a general on/off switch in the settings but other than that, I add any content I find hot, included (mild amount of) gay content.

If this is your personal preference, then of course it makes perfect sense to include such content

I disagree with the premise of this thread i.e. that only trans people like trans content and so on. That being said a lot of these games add trans characters as an after thought e.g. side character with no story or character that optionally has a dick and other than that there's no mention of it. I kind of think, what's the point in that case, but equally it's not harming anyone - usually these types of games allow you to avoid that content. I wish there were more games/VNs where trans characters were the focus.

That's my opinion anyway and that's coming from someone who's not trans, but is attracted to women and that includes trans women.

What's all this about straight and trans content? It's all just pansexual content really.

But really, one is a sexuality and the other a gender identity (I think? It's not a sexuality.)
They aren't even mutually exlusive.
