Why do so many developers mix straight and trans content in one game?

You can be straight and be into trans women.
You can be straight and not be into trans women.
But being into trans women can never be considered gay, since being gay is being attracted to men, not to dicks.
Same as a gay man can be attracted to trans man, straight man can be attracted to trans woman.
It's that simple.
Saying that liking trans women content is gay is really bigoted and doesn't take into account how sexuality actually works.

Yeah, people need to check their privilege.

Gentle reminder: devs can, within the bounds of what f95 will let them post and (if they use it) crowdfunding sites are willing to fund, make whatever indie porn game they want with whatever content they want, and change what new content they decide to add at any time. But we, in the peanut gallery, are also free to think and say that adding gay or trans content to a previously heterosexual-and-cis-only game is a dumb idea and that the dev shouldn't do it for financial reasons (whether or not that is even true; I don't think there's solid evidence either way), or that we would enjoy the game less if they did so. We can comment that even if we don't support the game, and the dev can listen to us or ignore us or even directly make fun of us in-game if they wish. None of those positions require that anyone involved be homophobic or transphobic, though those positions do not prevent the person being homophobic or transphobic either.

And while trans supporters are well within their rights to demand that M to F trans people be considered women and that F to M trans people be considered men, a porn viewer is also free to prefer that in the porn they watch the men have penises and the women do not, or even what body modifications they do or do not prefer the performers to have undergone (obvious example: some people think breast implants are sexy, and some people find them to be very unsexy), and their preference again does not itself necessarily signal homophobia or transphobia; though again, those positions do not prevent the person being homophobic or transphobic.

Society has too many labels. We like to segregate ourselves into little groups and then think that our group is the correct one, whether is liberal or conservative, gay or straight, black or white, etc. At the end of the day, life is short and the only person you truly answer to is yourself. The reality is we are all individuals, and no two people are ever completely identical in what we like or want. Putting our own expectations on another person is like trying to force a round peg into a square hole. It doesn't work and the end result is usually resentment and frustration.

What's all this boil down to? If you're making a game, make the game you want to play. If you're supporting a game, support a game you want to play. If you're not into it, just move on. It's not rocket science.

Pretty much this. I'm a straight man, but I've kissed men and I'm definitely getting aroused by trans women if they look somewhat female. Pure gay content is not for me, but nobody forces me to play a gay game. Most games with trans content tell the player what's about to go down, so all you've got to do is to click on "don't show penisgirl".

I think a lot of people do it to reach a wider audience and therefore have trans as an option.
Problem for me is if it´s unavoidable or when they add any genres that hurt the story.
