Ugh, I have messed up and missed a few versions. Wait a little bit, while I re-upload the archive. It's gonna take a while, my upload speed is bad.

She tends to take greater risks and risk gets rewarded in this game.
Try to get a lead in points early on by being aggressive. If you mess up in the first round, it's not such a great annoyance to start over. Also, make use of the items you find. They are basically like cheating and you will keep the ones you find, if you don't use them even in-between hunts. With a stockpile of items, it is super easy to win.

I would describe the gameplay as risk management. The longer you stay on a mission, the more points you get. But if you stay too long, you lose all points. Yes, it involves a good amount of luck, but it's not so difficult to win consistently, especially if you make intelligent use of items, which your opponents can't do.
I actually find the gameplay a lot of fun, but only in short bursts. The problem is that all the levels are exactly the same. The order of rooms is randomized, but otherwise nothing changes. So I do use some cheese to finish the game. Here's how to do it:
The aforementioned items that are found during a hunt sometimes. You don't have to use them during that hunt. They will stay with you until you use them.
And they stack. Infinitely. It doesn't matter, if you win or lose. So you can amass a large amount by just playing normally and saving them for later. Once you have enough, you are basically unbeatable.
