Won't help if it was a proper freeze, but if that's the part I'm thinking of try clicking on the lamp/candle thing.

I fixed it by loading a save done at diner table before storm in ep 1-4
Mom went down the ladder-> save #2
Loaded save #2 in combined again > fixed
